Pantheon of the Gods is a new mod inspired by the fantastic work done by many CKII modders to bring us the many fantasy and alternate history mods, most specifically "The Gods" mod. This is in a similar vein to those great ck2 mods but by no means the same. In fact I have many dramatic and large plans for this mod, even going as far as adding new races, magic systems and a comprehensive and immersion filled storyline. The point of this mod is not to retread the steps of previous mods, but to give a convincing and enthralling alternative history for the normal Crusader Kings setting.


So what is Renewal? Well I am glad you asked. The new version of the mod 5.0 was taking a super long time to release because of personal motivation and opportunity, life gets in the way. However, the version on steam has been outdated for so long, I knew I had to go back to my roots and start a rewrite, which is exactly what I did. Renewal is the fruit of that endeavor. This does mean that the amount of content is much less than in previous versions, but the content is more refined with new compatibility with modern CK3 versions as well as other fancy mods. The tech surrounding the modding space has changed a lot in the last two years. So by downloading Pantheon of the Gods - Renewal you are effectively taking part in a v5.0 early access. There will be bugs, there will be missing features, but there will be more frequent updates. No longer will you have to wait for months for new changes.

Essentially Renewal acts as a launching off platform for modernizing and reviving Pantheon of the Gods. Which is good, because even to this day there isn't really something which fills that niche in the workshop. ❓ How do I become a god?
❗ Use the decision which will give you access to godhood. Make sure you enable the game rule

❓ Where are the god powers?
❗ Deity progression and powers are a WIP in 5.0 and aren't available yet in Early Access, but stay tuned for more.

❓ How do I make other people gods?
❗ Renewal does not have the ability to make other people gods yet, apart from console commands. This is a number one priority moving forward

❓ How do I gain a god religion and culture?
❗ The god religion and cultures are undergoing a revamp at the moment which will offer greater customizability as well as increased roleplaying. Stay tuned

❓ How compatible is the mod?
❗ The mod now has increased compatibility, however you may notice some GUI hiccups with mods that alter character window gui files

❓ Why did you remove all the content?
❗ The mod has been outdated for a long while, it is simply no longer tenable to support the ancient version here, so I have elected to move forward with a more modern codebase.

❓ What is URF, and why is it a dependency?
❗ URF is the essential library which makes all the GUI and race gameplay work. It's open for people to extend for themselves, but it's also needed to make PoG work at it's best. Don't worry, just put it at the top of your load order.
