May not have completed each step as intended, but thoroughly enjoyed this map.

sheer hard-work in development. laser is very easy / cube is fun / bridge is good one. :p2cube:

A map with a very interesting and distinctive design. Puzzles were challenging enough. Light bridges room put me on my kneels, and I couldn't figure out how to solve this.

Overall, that's very decent.

I enjoyed it, except for the strafing bug. I also might have solved the laser room slightly incorrectly, all I did was swap the order of the... laser cones? What are they called?

Exceeding 300 horizontal u/s disables strafing which is why faith plates disable strafing. I'm not sure why it disables strafing here since I am only going 175 units. Also in the faith plate room you can escape if you walk to the wall and hug it, eventually you will be able to walk around out of bounds. It does not seem useful though, especially without the strafing. I was able to regain strafing control once or twice but lost it again. Unfortunately, it might be hard to debug the strafing issue since it is not consistent.

Ah, I didn't realize it was only a bug. Thanks for the reply though. That's odd that it happens unpredictably with faith plates, since there's several maps (in the campaign and community-made) that have them where you can still strafe properly. Very strange.

Once again though, thank you for your hard work on this map. Absolutely loved the visuals.

Thanks for playing! Sorry about the “anti-strafe” thing - that is 100% unintended and I still don’t know what caused it. It’s definitely something to do with the faith plates because I have another map where this happens, but based on what I know about faith plates there’s no reason it should be happening. Oh well. As for the faith plate puzzle cheese, you’re absolutely right and others have picked up on it as well, that was the result of me making changes to the original layout without consulting demon, who designed the puzzles and probably would have caught that. I’ve learned my lesson on that front with more recent maps, thankfully

Wow… it’s a completely fresh design style I’ve never quite seen before. Really nice aesthetic work. I always love it when people use Hammer truly creatively and make stuff like this.

Puzzles were easy, well the light bridge one was a little challenging. I do believe the faith plate one can be cheesed by placing the cube on the end platform - this way there’s no need for the angled panel to the left or the big faith plate that launches you straight up .

I will say I don’t like whatever anti-bhop thing is implemented in here, that takes away all turning while strafing. Only started in the second chamber, but it persisted beyond it, and I get it - you don’t want people to cheat, but that puzzle was exploitable anyway, and for me the default walking speed is too slow. I would just recommend making the puzzles larger.
