How To Win Events
By xxx
I did not want to publish this guide because it would increase my rivals.
However, I have published several guides in the past, but I realized that many people do not read them, or if they do read them, they do not put them into practice.
So I made the decision to publish this guide.
And now that you are reading this guide, you are on the doorstep of a winner.
It is up to you to make the most of this guide.
I have been ranked in the top 1% in many events many times, and I have packed all my know-how into this guide.
Now, read it and put it into practice.

Overview
This guide will lead you to the top 1% in the event.
Top 1% is less than 2% of the playing population. For example, if there are 1,000 players, you must be in the top 19.
The longer you play, the more points you earn.
However, you have other things to do, such as work, hobbies, and household chores, so you want to be time efficient.

There are three types of events.
  • Last Man Standing
  • Virus Samples
  • Apocalypse

Rewards for the event are as follows.
Icon
Rank
Event Reward
Diamond: Top 1%
  • 20 SAS Cred Packs
  • 1 Black box (Either Saturday or Sunday every week)
  • 3 Nantonium boxes
  • 5 Promethium boxes
  • 10.0% Chance for a Black Key
Platinum: Top 10%
  • 12 SAS Cred Packs
  • 2 Nantonium boxes
  • 4 Promethium boxes
  • 4.0% Chance for a Black Key
Gold: Top 25%
  • 9 SAS Cred Packs
  • 3 Thulium boxes
  • 4 Molybdenum boxes
  • 0.5% Chance for a Black Key
Silver Top 50%
  • 5 SAS Cred Packs
  • 1 Promethium box
  • 2 Molybdenum boxes
Bronze Top 75%
  • 3 SAS Cred Packs
  • 1 Neodynium box
  • 2 HVM Turrets

Every Saturday or Sunday is special: if you are in the top 1%, you will always get a black strongbox.

If the mission does not end well and you want to end it immediately, you can set your PC to offline.
If you do so, you will not lose strongboxes.
If you QUIT, you will lose strongboxes you gained.
In Last Man Standing, the quickest way not to lose points is to kill yourself.

Often everything can be slow. Time efficiency drops to about 3/4. Perhaps this is because some users are playing on mobile or have weaker networks. If it bothers you in Virus Samples and Apocalipse, set offline to finish the mission and play a new mission.
Last Man Standing

The longer you survive than the other players, the more points you get.

Approximate number of points needed to rank in the Top 1%: 160

Points to be gained.
  • 4 players
    • 1st: 5
    • 2nd: 3
    • 3rd: 1
    • 4th: 0
  • 3 players
    • 1st: 3
    • 2nd: 1
    • 3rd: 0
  • 2 players
    • 1st: 3
    • 2nd: 0
If you are 3rd in a 4-player game and choose "Quit" on a screen that shows both "Quit" and "Spectate", you may get 0 points instead of 1. I don't know the cause.
If the internet disconnects, you get 0 points.

The environmental settings shall be set as follows.
  • SFX: Off
  • Music: Off
  • Screen Shake: Off
  • Gore: Off
You may be able to concentrate better without sound.
Screen Shake and Gore can also be turned off to make it easier to see enemies, players, Medkit, and floor acid.

Your character should.
  • The character should be as low level as possible. Lvl 15, the minimum requirement for participation in the event, is desirable, but the level will quickly increase. Conversely, high level character is inefficient at getting points due to prolonged battles.
  • The character's class should be Medic, because it can heal itself with Medkit.
  • Put all your skill points into "Fast Movement". In this event, you can beat other players if you run away from enemies. Next, put all your skill points into "Medkit".
  • If you usually buy "High Roller", you will get more and better weapons and armors.
  • Weapons should be non-slow-moving, and enhance Deadly, Overclocked, and Biosynthesis for HP recovery.
  • Armor increases HP, Energy and Movement Speed. Don't increase defense. Half-heartedly enhancing defense is pointless. Hardplate series are not used because they slow down the movement mod.

Specifically, the following applies to each piece of armor.
  • Helmet: Revitalising, Body Fueling
  • Vest: Body Fueling, Energised
  • Gloves: Nimble, Fortified
  • Pants: Machine Assisted, Body Fueling
  • Boots: Machine Assisted, Revitalising

Purchase a "Tank" before the mission starts.
Its contents are as follows. You will be more likely to survive.
  • +20% Damage immunity
  • +50% Health from medkits
  • +50% Health regen
  • +2x Cryo Turrets
  • +10x Cryo Grenades

This is a video recording the creation of a level 1 Medic and the achievement of top 1%.

Check your rivals in the lobby.
MP Deaths must be more than MP Games. This means that the rival is weak.
If you don't stand a chance, press ESC key to leave the lobby and move to another lobby.

When the mission starts, adjust Turrets to Cryo. Be ready to use Cryo Turret at a moment's notice.

It may come as a surprise to you, but do not kill enemies. It is enemies that drives rivals to their deaths. What to do then is to put enemies on your rivals.

When surrounded by enemies, throw Cryo granades to freeze them; it takes about one second for the granade to explode, so act quickly. While the enemies are frozen, defeat them or move to a safe place.
When you run out of Cryo granade, buy some more.

Always keep your HP maxed out. medkit should be ejected and picked up by the wall. This way your HP will be recovered twice as much as usual.
You can pick up medkit dropped by enemies at any time, so use medkit of your skill first.
Also, pick up medkit thrown by other players aggressively. Do not let your rivals recover.

Move to a place where no enemies come. And put other players between you and enemies.
If you are even a millimeter farther than the other players, they will not attack you.

Reload when no enemies are around. So that you can do the maximum attack at any time.

Sometimes there is a player whose HP does not decrease.
That player may have strong defense, or heal with biosynthesis, or cheat, or it may be an asynchronous bug in the game.
Exit the scene by killing yourself because you have no chance to win.

Sometimes players misunderstand and say "Help!" but do not give medkit. Do not help your rivals.

Improve your playing skills. Take a video of yourself playing and reflect on why you died and how you could have avoided dying. Just press Win+Alt+R to take a video using Xbox Game Bar.

A more efficient way to earn points is to get your friends to sacrifice themselves.
Match your level and your friend's level (eg around 5).
Your friend takes off all armor.
Enter the lobby at the same time as each other.
And let your friends die immediately.
As a result you earn at least 1 point immediately.
Repeat this until you have earned enough points.

Boss appeared 10 minutes into the mission.
Zombie damage scaling is applied at 18 minutes. Zombie damage scaling means your defense ratio goes down up to 25%.
Virus Samples

The more samples you pick up, the more points you get.
Samples are also dropped from enemies defeated by other players and can be picked up by you.

Approximate number of points needed to rank in the Top 1%: 14000

Percentage of points obtained per sample.
  • 4 players
    • 1st: 6.0%
    • 2nd: 3.5%
    • 3rd: 2.5%
    • 4th: 2.5%
  • 3 players
    • 1st: 5.0%
    • 2nd: 3.0%
    • 3rd: 2.5%
  • 2 players
    • 1st: 3.5%
    • 2nd: 2.0%

For example, if you start with 4 players and you pick up the most samples and you pick up 10000 samples, you get 600 points. (10000 samples * 6% = 600 points)

As you can see from the list above, being 1st in 4 players is the best way to earn points.
The percentage does not change even if other players exit in the middle of a mission.

The faster you can move to get more samples, the better.
The ideal class is Assault. Set skill points on "Fast Movement" and "Adrenaline".
Use weapons and armors that do not have movement speed penalties.
Enhance "Machine Assisted" for pants and boots.

Mastery 4 of gloves.
Its effect is +50% range to pick up.
To learn it quickly, take off all armor except gloves and die immediately on Last Man Standing, you will earn 1 game worth of XP on gloves in a few minutes and repeat the process.

The following must be verified in the lobby
The team is 4 players.
You will be the fastest of the 4 players.
The map is narrow. Powerout is the most narrow and most efficient map to pick up samples. Vaccine and Last Stand are large, so exit the lobby by pressing ESC key.

Often there were 4 players in the lobby, but on missions it was reduced to 3 or less.
Right after the mission starts, be sure to confirm that you started with 4 players.
Your status in Steam chat will say "Multiplayer (4 of 4)".
One mission can last several hours if you are strong.
Earn event points efficiently.

You must not be mistaken. Team members are not allies, they are rivals.
If you are medic, do not give them medkit. You will have an advantage if they die and lose time.

The number of samples obtained depends on the type of zombie.
zombie type
samples
boss
100
bloater, necrosis spawn
20
others
5
worms
0

Worms must also be defeated. There is an upper limit to the number of enemies that can appear at the same time. Worms are included in this number, and if a large number of worms are alive, fewer enemies will appear and fewer samples will be obtained.

Savage devastator appears as a boss around 30min from the start.
Zombie damage scaling at 40 minutes.
Apocalypse

The higher the wave your team goes, the more points you get.

Approximate number of points needed to rank in the Top 1%: 18000

The waves and the points you get are as follows. I confirmed up to wave 109. However, if you kill bosses immediately.

See the table and graph above.
At the beginning, the number of points gained per wave is small, and after wave 15, the number is fixed at 42.
From wave 35, the time required per wave doubles.

Bosses appear in Wave 5, 10, 15, 20 or higher.
If your team fails to defeat the boss, you will waste time to proceed to the next wave.
If you have enough physical strength, attack the boss first.

In light of the above, do the following in order to gain points efficiently.
If your team's attack power is low, leave just after the start of wave 5, 10, 15, or 20 when boss appears.
If your team's attack power is high and boss can be killed immediately, leave immediately after the start of wave 35.
When you leave, take PC offline; unlike QUIT, you will get strongboxes.

Zombie damage scaling from wave 30.

I played wave 100+ in the video above.
The ideal class is Heavy.
Set 25 skill points to "Tough Body" (-54% damages) and 1 skill point to "Die Another Day" (-90% damages).
Plus aim your defense 99% (-99% damages).
Then you can reduce the damage you take up to 0.046% (=(100-54)/100 * (100-90)/100 * (100-99)/100)).
For example, if the enemy's attack power is 10000, your damage will be 4.6.
Set 25 skill points on "Hold The Line" (+126% damages).

Buy "Tank" and "Killing Machine" before mission start.
You will survive longer and defeat bosses faster.

The ideal map is small. Powerout is the most efficient map for killing enemies. Vaccine and VIP are big, so press ESC to exit the lobby.

Match Turret to Cryo Turret immediately after start.
Do not use Cryo Turret immediately. Use it only on bosses.

Stop the boss with obstacles such as cars and walls.

Get behind the boss. That way you won't be attacked by it.

When wicker dies and necrosis attacks, the angle of their projectiles is fixed.
Wicker is 45 degrees. Necrosis is 30 degrees.
Remember those and move to a position where you can dodge them. If you look carefully, necrosis releases them from the hips, not the back.

Watch your radar and kill them, including off-screen zombies, if you have enough attack power. The quicker you kill zombies, the quicker standby zombies will appear and the quicker you can get to next wave.

Async bugs sometimes prevent the wave from advancing. In that case, set offline to finish the mission and play a new mission.

There are often players who do nothing. Don't worry about it. Remember, your goal is to score more points and end up in the top 1%. If the point earning efficiency does not decrease, continue the mission. If the efficiency decreases, set offline to finish the mission and play a new mission.

If you're Medic, aggressively heal your teammates with Medkit. However, there is no need to take care of players who do nothing.

thankx for the help,i quiet like the simple and apocalypse event for if i spend time i could win prize, and somehow it is sort of co-op event. though i really dont like the last man standing event, sometimes meet cheater or bug of just not die,and sometime just waste alot of time end up getting nothing, i dont like pvp thing some sort of.
it is just disgusting XD
WayDansten 15 Dec, 2024 @ 3:41pm
Very helpful. I don't have that much time to farm events for top 1%, but top 10% reward is also great, so that's not a problem.
Also, any suggestions on what to do on LMS when some players stick into corners? It becomes kinda difficult to lure the Z-s on them, even with great speed (80%+). And there's also that building on "Recovery" where you are immune from everything except the shadow minion enemies.
