Description
This is an overhaul and continuation of Compilatron's Power Tab mod, remade with the author's permission. This version functions much the same as before, but does so with zero overhead, requiring no harmony patches or any ticking components.

Power tab simply provides a UI that lists out where your power is being consumed, and where it's coming from, as opposed to clicking buildings one by one to try and figure it out manually.

What's new?
I got tired of constantly asking in frustration "What's using up all my power?!", and so I looked up this mod. However, after auditing the code, I decided it was in need of an overhaul. The changes are technical in nature, including:
  • No longer needs harmony, removing any patch overhead.
  • No longer ticks any code. This is a zero-overhead mod, its code is only active when you're actually looking at the UI.
  • And speaking of that, the UI rendering is around 5x faster as well.
  • All hardcoded strings are now exposed for translators to make use of.

Compatibility
  • Being a simple UI mod that does not touch your save file, you can add or remove it anytime.

Credits
  • Compilatron: the original author, whom granted permission for this overhaul.
  • Mersid: whom was keeping it going with later RimWorld versions.

@kotobike was working great for me in 1.6 with my 350+ mod modlist. Would love for it to be reuploaded, or at least available on github.

@Kotobike I don't want to annoy you, but do you consider reuploading it?

There will ALWAYS be people whining, but they could just remove the mod.

I've once seen people whine about meteorites destroying their base and being too impactful in a mod which only meant to make the meteorites very impactful and destructive.

Your update of the Power Tab 2 was really useful in 1.5. I have no idea how well it works in 1.6, but currently I am still sticking to 1.5 until most mods are up to date. I could imagine not being the only one.

Either way, whatever you decide, I am grateful for your update I've been able to use for months and wish you a good time!

This mod absolutely was helpful for me. I got so use to it always there that when I didnt have it I was super confused.

what how is this not useful???
this is incredibly useful to finding out if you have enough generators or when you need to disable some electronics during winters or in gravships

and a good suggestion for all, copy paste every mod from steam so theyre local so next they decide to remove a mod youll still have it on your drive. <3

you can still find 1.5 version out there and it works fine with 1.6! cant put a link sadly but just google it. <3
