Morvens Mods 1.16 Compatch

Description

Update for señor Morven's mods to be compatible with patch 1.16
designed for CMH collection

Important
With patch 1.13, Hagia Sophia & All Cathedrals Enabled For All Christians and Doctor Tweak - AI Will More Often Hire Court Physicians have been removed from this compatched and are not supported any longer!

Combined compatch that covers the following mods:
Fervour Inversion - Winning Holy Wars Increases Fervour
Inverts how vanilla awards fervour in Holy Wars. Faith is now justified by trial of combat, victory in Holy Wars increases fervour, faith and cohesion, while defeat now decreases it. Also includes a fix to stop Crusade realms succumbing to immediate peasant liberation revolts.

Fervour Midpoint Rebalance - Fervor Tends Towards 50%
Fervour will tend towards a midpoint of 50%. Fervour will decay when above 50%, and will gain when below 50%. Gives fervour freedom of movement. Less fervour snowballing, less fervour collapse, less implausible stickiness at 100% fervour for small faiths, and less inexplicable stickiness at 25% for large faiths. Includes a heresy rework.

Less Sinful Priest Scandals - With Less Fervour Loss
Fixes the other major cause of fervour loss to large religions by increasing the cooldown timer and trait requirements needed to trigger the sinful priest scandal event. It will no longer overtrigger fervour loss merely because large religions have lots of priests.

Pacification Speeds Conversion
After defeating a peasant or populist revolt chancellors and court chaplins will convert pacified counties' culture and religion at double their base skill as a defeated people look to new gods and masters. With the Fervour Inversion mod active this increases to triple their base skill post-crusade.

Hostile Struggles Re-Enable Holy Wars
Re-enable holy wars within a struggle region when the struggle enters the hostility phase. Vanilla disables the holy war casus belli within a struggle region when in the conciliation, opportunity, and the hostility phases; re-allow holy wars when the cold war turns hot.

Artifact Claims Nerf - No House Claims Against Dynasty
House members can no longer press House artifact claims against members of the same Dynasty in the artifact demand interaction unless they possess a personal claim to the artifact. The malus for rejecting the demand is reduced and tied to the artifacts tier. AI cooldown on repeat same artifact requests increased to 30 years. AI evaluation of the interaction increased to 15 years. End -60 opinion malus demand trinket spam in your empire.

Less Old Wives - AI Men Marry Younger Fertile Women
Imposes marriage opinion penalties and hard nerfs on older and infertile women. The AI will no longer marry their teenage heirs to 60 year old grannies. Fertility and age become top matchmaking criteria and the AI will search wider and deeper on the map for the right young woman to bear their legitimate children in the longest reproductive window.

The following mods do not need an update:
Restore Carolingian Borders Fix
Now part of base game!

More Babies For Counts & Dukes
Counts and Dukes, and their unlanded children, will now have more babies. In a time of death by combat, disease, and maternal mortality, lineages at the feudal foundations will no longer be hamstrung by fertility nerfs. More babies means more future wives.

would it be possible to get Dynamic Holy Sites - Conquer, Sanctify, Exile added to this mod?
pharaox 29 Jun @ 9:34am
@Kaepbora Thanks! Also, marriage_ai_accept_modifier (for Less Old Wives) is adapted to an older version ot CK3 1.16 before the hard and very hard game rules, and so does not contain these changes.
You could also consider using the files from Unofficial Patch as a base, if they have been changed there. Currently I think it's only the above modifier. Unop fixes a large number of issues, and is also part of CMH.

@pharaox
Thanks I will look into it

@Kaepbora Also, I think you should delete Morven's version of are_holy_wars_disabled_in_struggle_phase_trigger (by adding an empty zz_hostile_struggles_scripted_triggers.txt to your compatch), it doesn't seem to be needed anymore and looks buggy (checks dejure rather than defacto hierarchy)

@Kaepbora Thanks for keeping Morven's mods up to date! For "Hostile Struggles Re-Enable Holy Wars", in your compatch the holy wars are enabled not only for the hostility, but also for the opportunity and compromise phases, unlike what the description says and the behavior of the original mod. Is this intentional, if not could you please fix it?

@whatever that name is you don't need to use all of them at once, it runs fine without everything active

I only use the fervour inversion mod, I don't want the other mods :,( why do you do this? Why put them all in one :,(

Suck to lose these mods, but they were causing pink squares on my council screen on 1.16.
