Description
Hey

This is something i've always wanted to do, develop a game from scratch and start from the very basics and slowly work my way up to a completed game, this is also a great way to iron out bugs :)

I am going to be developing this game over time, if you have any suggestions or ideas please let me know

Currently i am working on the prototype for the game, do not download this game is you expect a finished game because this is the complete opposite, it will start today from the bare bones and over time you will see it change, hopefully the finish line will be steam greenlight!

The graphics upon completion will be a retro pixel style and it will be a room by room dungeon crawler, similar to The Binding of Isaac.

Current Features:

Items:

Basic Dagger - Bare bones in place for random loot generation, currently there are 4 rarity levels.
Basic Enemy - Random stats with random elemental buff, will be refining more shortly

Item Infusers - Elemental infusers will change the attributes of your attacks and also output crazy variations

Features:
Item Equip - you can equip and deequip daggers by pressing F and right clicking them in the equipped slot to de-equip

Item crafting - you can find handles and blades and forge new weapons with them

Weapon Variations Added:
All weapons have a positive and a negative attribute so you will have to pick what fits your playstyle best.

Swords:
Pro -
1 in 10 chance to hit for piercing damage.
Con -
Slower attack speed than daggers

Greataxes:
Pro -
They have a wide arc of attack
Con -
Really slow attack speed

Claws:
Pro -
They have a 1 in 15 chance to cause the enemy to Bleed which drains health
Con -
Slower than daggers & pretty low damage

Daggers:
Pro -
Can attack as fast as you can click
Con -
Pretty low damage

Quick Fixes:

-Loot Table amended slightly

Im so far enjoying this game even though you could tweak the bats its not as hard as you say id tag this as a great strategy game.

Later in development, there should be slight variations to the mobs, whether it is a slight change in the design or other stuff. It has probably been suggested before, but it would be cool. Also it could go with weapons, like heavy sword, or extra sharp sword.


With that in mind, it could be applied to more than just mobs or enemies, but you can also just go to the basics and keep it simple if you think it would help the game.


Also, when is this game based in? The past, or like modern day world or something?

Yeah the art style will be staying like this, i love pixel art and i havent got the lore down completely yet but i've got some good ideas on how to introduce the lore into the game

just make sure that the players know how to play your game
an ingame tutorial would be nice
also dont let the enemy push you around when they get close
i always find my self dead coz bats shoved my in the corner

Hey, is the art style staying the same or are you thinking of changing it later in development?
Also, the art is great. Did you find a suitable lore for the game?

i would like to know , did you make the art your self ?
coz its great
but this game needs a lot of tweeking before it gose on greenlight
you might need help with it :P
