Opis


Cryo is a Freeze Tag map inspired by the likes of Offblast and Lumberyard, set atop a massive cliff with a large, secret, super high tech cryogenics facility hidden in its walls, who knows who, or what is frozen inside... Offering two distinct, contrasting lanes, one into the cold, enclosed interior lined with vats and Cryo pods, and the warm, open exterior, well, as warm as a desert at night can get at least. (hint: still exceptionally cold).







But what is Freeze Tag? It's Arena mode, but when a player would normally die, they are instead frozen solid. Their team can thaw them out by standing near them, but watch out, as enemies can block thawing just like a control point. A team wins when all of the enemy players are frozen, or if they capture the control point that opens up after a map's given time.







Freeze Tag's take on the Arena formula aims to provide more of a “back and forth” than a standard Arena game normally would, as allowing players the ability to bring their teammates back from the dead gives them more sway over the outcome of a match.
Should they push in and stop an enemy from thawing out a teammate, or should they retreat and find some teammates of their own to thaw out to turn the tide of battle in their favour?

You know what that's entirely fair, I'll bring that up to my team!
File naming scheme is something I feel strongly about with tf2 maps, we wanted it to be immediately apparent what you were in for when you started loading into a map, hence why we made it arena_mapname instead of ft_mapname, since you can still expect the standard arena rules etc

That being said my only gripe with the gamemode is the file naming scheme, i think the maps should be have a prefix of arena_ft_[map name] for better categorization
