Mech Hitbox Fix

In 1 collection by FelmastProMcLane
Mech Core - Main Mods
12 items
Description
While in the mech, enemies aim at the player's position, many tall mechs change where the player sits, and it ends up beyond the mech's collision hitbox.

But using the mech's seat position and its default collision, it can be adjusted to still be above the player, allowing it to have a "visually consistent" hitbox.

This adjustment is dynamic and adapts to different heighted mechs.
Collision becomes default when in tight spaces.
Compatible with "Crouching".

Can be freely uninstalled.

you could create a mod to remove items after death, its working principle is quite simple, but it would give a completely different approach to the game, if all items from the inventory were completely removed after death, it would create a positive circulation of weapons and armor, which would equalize the balance of resources and items in large modpacks

Does this mod also apply to block collision detection? There is an issue where you cannot pass through the mech-only door in the Shellguard mech boarding mission (3 consecutive fortress missions).

Added a list of avoided worlds, both mech tutorials are in that list.

Or maybe it's FU's custom collision that is not being adjusted, that is easier for me to test.

I think is more about the block detection, and I did try making it crouch in space, but no luck.
If I can't find how to make it work there, I guess disabling it inside the mission should work.

Still seems to have some issues, got stuck in FU tutorial mission. Is it not working on modded mech parts correctly?

I'll keep an eye out, the mods in question were GIC in one of the YFFS ship combats, couldn't get through the narrow corridors with the mod installed, will post if it happens again.

Increased detection area, hopefully that works.

Still seems to not detect correctly, can't get through some holes for certain mods with the mech in space anymore.
