The Dark Angels and their successors are amongst the most sombre and knightly Space Marine Chapters in aspect. While giving the appearance of upholding the Codex Astartes, they also use their own obscure systems of additional markings and inscriptions. Specialist formations such as the Deathwing or Ravenwing further employ their own heraldic schemes, while – between flowing robes and ornate decoration - many Unforgiven appear as ornate as they are visually menacing.

I don't know much about DA, but I take the necessary information from the codex, if there is anything to add I would be glad to read it may i have some missed

One Addon, there also the "Secta Mortis" of the Dathwing.
These are the Guards of the Voted Lieutenant.
They have a golden Helmet but everything else is pretty much the same.

deathwing its a 1st company made of veterans, but u can use crux terminatus to make your own 1st company vet without a terminator armor

I read somewhere that the red sword pointing down was for lieutenants, pointing upward was veterans, don't know if true but when i was searching i saw it a few time. And thank you for all that, it's a great help !
