No Hints

These achievements require you to not use hints. Make sure you don't click on the beating heart in the upper-right of the screen and make sure you don't click on the sparkling pickups you may find inside of things you will smash open (i.e.: crates, sheep).

Sharp Eye
Solve hidden object puzzle without hint

Brain Teaser
Get to basement without hints

Speedrun

This achievement will require you to get through about 85% of the game within 2 hours of playtime. I saved and quit and continued playing and the achievement still unlocked for me, so it appears to just count total playtime and doesn't need to be done in one sitting. This may be hard to accomplish on your first run if you aren't using a walkthrough, so you may just want to mop it up after enjoying the initial playthrough. That said, if you are quick-witted you might unlock it straight away even without a guide.

Dodger
Find dissecting room in less then 2 hours

Collectibles

There are two types of "collectibles" you will need to watch out for during your playthrough. They are: hidden hearts, and not-that-hidden loudspeaker boxes. You collect them by clicking on them. You will be able to return to every area to find them all the way until the last action of the game; therefore you are relatively safe to try to find them on your own without worrying about missing one. This is the last screen of the game:

Once you reach this screen, make sure you finish finding all collectibles before finishing the game.

Musician
Listen to four hidden tracks

Great Musician
Listen to seven hidden tracks

True Seeker
Find half of the hidden hearts

Bounty Hunter
Find all hidden hearts in the game

The Axe

You will find an axe which you can use to smash open crates (and poor sheep). Once you have smashed open all crates then the axe will break, so you must use the axe on the sheep before smashing open the last of the crates.

Murderer

The Computer

Towards the end of the game you will have access to a computer where you will able to use your keyboard to type commands. There are two achievements that involve this computer.

Pirate
Check "The Pirate Bay" site in computer console

Unfortunately, Steam censors this phrase so this achievement becomes difficult to explain. I decided my Steam account is too valuable to risk going around the censor to explain this achievement. Check the achievement description, it will tell you what to type into the computer. Type that into the computer and press enter. The game will minimize and open your browser to Youtube in a very obnoxious fashion, but earning you the achievement. (If you can't figure it out, check the forums.)

Hacker
Check all console commands

For this achievement you must try all console commands in the computer. The list of possible commands is on a sheet of paper in front of the computer. Most are straightforward, but for the tricky "chat" command, you must type in "chat(Mary)." (This is the name on the gravestone you can zoom into by where the candles are).

Clicking and Ticking

The following achievements require you to click your mouse at least 5000 times. It appears that clicks only count if you are actually clicking on something in the game that elicits a response; so you cannot just wildly click around on the screen. For your own sanity, you may want to consider using an auto-clicker program while you are away/asleep and it should also net you the time-based achievements as well.

Tiny Detective
Make 200 mouse clicks

Detective
Make 2000 mouse clicks

Senior Detective
Make 5000 mouse clicks

The following achievements require you to run the game for at least 3 hours of play time. You must be in game and not at the title screen. The 3 hour achievement didn't unlock for me until almost hour 5. Some people seem to still be having trouble getting it to unlock.

Regular Gamer
Play 1Heart for one hour

Maniac
Play 1Heart for more then three hours

What you are doing sounds like it should work, but it is possible you need to do something else. I personally didn’t use an auto-clicker when I did this; I manually clicked on things while watching TV. But using the auto-clicker shouldn’t make a difference.

I know a lot of people have reported problems unlocking this, and numerous other people have had it unlock fine. It all seemed to unlock fine for me, but a patch might have broken these achievements since the time I was able to unlock them.

I've just tried with "OP Auto Clicker 2.0" with a Click interval of 1 sec during 1 hour, and leave the cursor in a spot that shows a "?" at the cursor (it was a crane actually).
The software seems to work fine since I have the game sound click every sec and the message appears at the top of the screen.

But after 1h, the 2000 mouse click achievement didn't popped even if it's ~3600 clicks.
Does the clicks has to be maid somewhere else or in a different way ?

I have used a few different ones, and usually uninstall them after; I can’t recall exactly which ones I have used. They are all really the same thing, just search “mouse auto clickers” online. The key is to be careful where you download from, as always. Any time you download a tool like this there is a risk of it being filled with junkware. You will have to make your own decision about which site to use, as I have no idea which ones are safe.

I tried to unluck Bounty Hunter, but game says I have to collect the 18 hearts...and I checked lots of guides and I found everybody saying its 16 hearts!! Anyone can help please :C? I swear I searched everywhere and I can't find the 2 hearts I have left

I was get senior detective. When i was repeated 3times this game for kill a sheep.
I remember that when i was clicked the speaker, it is unlocked.
but I can't unlock maniac.....
