IDC - Smallbrook Loop Line - 1960's

Description
A fictitious route map set in the UK during the mid 1960's.

PLEASE NOTE: This partial route is incorporated into "IDC Route Map - Lenton-on-Sea Branch Line - 1960's" which has also been published on the Workshop.

Best suited to 'Green' diesels and late BR Steam Locomotives.

This is my first TS map.

DLC Required .....

Falmouth Branch Line.

The Isle of White Line.

Riviera Line.

Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway.

West Somerset Railway.

Town Scenery Pack.

Platform Clutter Pack.

The route is Free Roam and Quick Drive compatible.

Note: Due to the amount of detail, a computer with an up-to-date specification is required for a decent frame rate.

This map is now considered complete and has now been made Final.
See "Lenton-on-Sea Branch Line" which includes this map and forms the complete route.
Thanks to everyone who has downloaded this route. Enjoy!

The map of the complete route has been published today under the title "Lenton-on-Sea Branch Line" This sampler is incorporated in that map (with some improvements and adjustments).

In view of previous comments, I have added a Coal Barge loading Wharf onto the loop line in order to improve variety and scenic interest. (The coal mines are further up the route). Any changes will appear on the final complete route but will not show on this sampler.

Thanks for your comment WobblyTooth, it is appreciated. This is an advanced 'sampler' of a much bigger fictitious route, which will be published when complete. The loop in this instance was made so that Steam Trains in particular could turn around without the need to uncouple rolling stock. Elsewherem on the map, turntables and sidings are used as alternatives.

Good scenery on the loop, but it is beyond me as to why something like this would be built. Would be good to have some 'background' on the story of the line.

Great job, well detailed. Well done the railway atmosphere. I really enjoyed driving older British shunting locomotives in the loop. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to more progress. Greetings.

Excellent use of foliage. I will be looking forward to further development.
