OH YES! How in the earth this is forgotten masterpiece?! i wish valve software add this in early 2010s.

Needs a timer, and a flame that should either start when hit or go out after having been lit when opened. No flame, no game. If you're going for a completely different weapon, maybe the flame will make you immune to burn and after burn during cloak, but it drains faster when exposed to fire, because the fuses don't last. Obviously this wont work with a cloak and dagger mechanic but it should with invis or dead ringer. But it's your idea so if you want to come up with a whole new watch mechanic, then go on, I and many others will get behind.

ok but where is the deadringer bar ??? you need an indicator on it.

I love the idea of it being a lighter, but I agree the animation does need some reworking.

Cool. Maybe this cloak would be:
Pros: Invincibe to fire while cloaked (fire cannot be removed by cloaking)
No uncloak noise
Cons: Fire damage received in mini crits (I think this balaces it out)

I think it would be cool if when you have it out and you take so much fire damage, the next time you hit with a non-fire projectile with it out you explode in a small-mid ranged fire explosion. This also means it would take away your ability to cloak all together or something like that. Of course it would need to be balanced quit a lot so there aren't a lot of suicide spies everywhere. I don't know, just an idea.

My idea for effects and comes with reasoning:
Pros: Invincibility to fire when in use (Lighter, fire, you get the idea)
25% cloaking speed and -25 cloak and uncooked noise (it would sound like a lighter being turned on and off)
+50% cloak (Makes sense with one of the cons)
Left click while active will extinguish teammates and but uses up 33% cloak (Also makes sense with weapon)
Cons: +50% damage to explosives (Lighter would explode or something)
-3 health on cloak (Lighter setting on fire)
If you run out of cloak meter, you will get set on fire (Makes sense with weapon)

Okay, here's my idea for it's stats:

Pros:

+100% Cloak Duration
+3 Health Regen Per Second While Cloaked
+25% Speed While Cloaked

While cloaked you will conceal flames (meaning that once you cloak enemies won't be able to see you even if you're on fire).

Cons:
-25 Health
+30% Damage Vulnerability while uncloaked

Cloak does not conceal non-afterburn effects (Jarate, Mad Milk, etc).

when active (not invisable) it can extinguish you and your teammates. when lighter is full of fire it allows you to burn it off (small flame comes out of it) when active you are fire proof and invisable (even when bumped into). this woud make spies help out teammates and to think about when they use it. we have all had those times were you are on fire and there are 3 piros that run past you and DONT PUT YOU OUT and you die from it. almost every other class has some sort of suport "wepon" EX: mad milk, juran, buff banner... but the spy has nothing to help other than a knife, a gun, and a sapper (usless unless sentury).

It would be cool if the cloak timer was the flame.

Possible Stats: +Feign death, +Feigning your death while enemies are around will light them on fire for 4 seconds, -2 second Cloak time, -A small flicker of flame will show while cloaking making enemies easier to spot you.

i think that this design would work by giving u a counter to pyro (who as we all know makes spys life hell) at the cost of draining your heath rapidly and making you an easy kill to the other classes. this would make timing a key aspect because if you pull out your watch too early you will lose most if not all your heath.
