Nice puzzle. I did like the intended route but I found a large exploit that skipped a large part of the level logic making the cube fling and center button unused. I found you could stand in a far corner of the center room with the white floor and look through the red gate if a cube was on that button and portal all the way to the faith plate ceiling allowing you to then bring the cube straight there and maintaining a portal on either side of the unremovable fizzler. It does seem like this could be remedied fairly easily by moving some geometry around

I did the same thing as Dark Rozen: https://youtu.be/YcpUqGXID3w

Great puzzle. Was stuck on this for several months before I finally figured it out. Took a while for it to occur to me that an upward motion slows your speed the higher you go . Thanks for creating!

That ending was really strange. I didn't expect it.

Nice puzzle...lots of dead ends, but never running out of things to try until the correct path is found. Spent a lot of time trying to solve the whole thing once I got the connection between the central area and the faith plate near the exit - I didn't want to give it up once I got it. Finally figured out which plate was needed for which fling. Did a lot of F6/F7ing, but got through in the end and enjoyed!

Cool map. The only bit that I found quite iffy to pull off was flinging the cube through the laser field, but it could be that there was an easier way to accomplish that Big thumbs up once more

Great puzzle using two faith plates and different heights for the portal surface for one of them. Makes for a good momentum control puzzle. Reminds me of one of my unreleased maps (tutorial level), but never knew what to do with it (friends only):

Great map, especially the conundrum at the end.

Very neat map! Good use and reuse of elements and spaces. Thumbs up.

A delight to solve.

@Fumbly Bumbly Thank you Fumbly! :)

I just played this a little while ago today, and it was very fun! I thought the logic towards the end regarding cube management was particularly enjoyable.

@Demon Arisen Thank you so much Demon, I'm very happy to hear you enjoyed it so much!!

Wow, bloody ingenious! Seriously underrated map here, it checks all the right boxes: it's fun, exciting, innovative, challenging but not overly so, and extremely well made. Quite possibly my favourite map of yours - it's no easy task making a faith-plate puzzle, and you pulled it off fantastically. Definitely a thumbs up and favourite, and I'll be voting for this one for sure!

@nockscitney Thank you again for the video, glad you enjoyed the map!

Another fantastic Map K7 (played on stream today, timestamped link below). I called it right at the start of the map by saying it's one where you need to go all the way to the end and work your way back but then completly forgot about that and wandered around aimlessly for the next 5/10 minutes. Thanks for making and taking part in the contest :)

@Polux Yes could have done that too, just didn't feel like redoing the screenshots ;P haha. Should be ok now.
Polux 29 Aug, 2017 @ 5:17am
Yes. Or simply remove the white surface on the foor around the weighted button ...
K7 Avenger  [author] 29 Aug, 2017 @ 5:17am
@Polux Thank you for the video. I adjusted the angled panel, you now fly into the death grid so you can't shoot a portal through it.

Here is my solution : https://youtu.be/o1k0Jhq9Zxo
It seems I broke some parts of the puzzle. Too bad because it's a great map.

Excellent update!

That's right, but it is was a little tricky. I will try your other maps.
K7 Avenger  [author] 26 Aug, 2017 @ 3:11am
@philfromfrance Thank you! I think I know what you did, you used the white surface in the top chamber to launch yourself up, so you could shoot a portal through the laser grid to the white surface in the bottom chamber with the button?
EndOfPortal 25 Aug, 2017 @ 4:51pm
Great map but I did it in a different way. I never use the cube on the red button below.
jandlml 25 Aug, 2017 @ 4:40pm
wow that was fun!! great map!
Libbybapa 24 Aug, 2017 @ 8:04am
Fun map. I enjoyed that a lot. Thanks.
K7 Avenger  [author] 24 Aug, 2017 @ 2:41am
@bullfrog Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed it. The way you did it is fine with me, I knew you could do it that way but you've got to be very very fast. With the pedestal button for the exit door, I timed it how fast I could get to the door, and then added about 4 seconds to that so people wouldn't have to do the same thing like 3 times.
bullfrog 24 Aug, 2017 @ 12:11am
Brilliant puzzle. Just looked at your walkthrough and noticed I did it a slightly different (harder!) way i.e. at 1:08 in the video just as the cube exits the portal, I shot other portal in the angled panel and ran to other button :steamfacepalm:.Your intended method at that point is much more chic. The rest I did as you intended. PS thanks for leaving plenty of time on the timer as they always make me panic.
K7 Avenger  [author] 22 Aug, 2017 @ 2:34pm
@quaternary I appreciate your thought and I agree, it is just that I thought a gel puzzle with this theme would be too obvious so I tried to do something different, and combine it with faithplates that I haven't used before.
quat 22 Aug, 2017 @ 11:17am
I liked it, but IMO the pedestal button felt a bit tacked on. If you can press the button at all, you can reach the exit; there's not really much of a challenge in linking together the areas

Still nice thooooo

@Atom Thank you Atom! :steamhappy:

Awesome map! I played it intended as your video says. I really enjoyed it! Great work. :D
K7 Avenger  [author] 21 Aug, 2017 @ 12:04pm
@jgaultney Ah I see, I always use shadowplay for recording gameplay.
jgaultney 21 Aug, 2017 @ 12:02pm
I get such weird effects whenever I record maps made with BEEMOD. Sometimes the cubes
and/or gels are invisible in a demo recording. They show up fine during 'live' play. Exiting and
re-starting Portal usually fixes the weirdness on the first replay after re-start but it returns on
any second or later re-play without a Portal re-start. I don't know if this behaviour is caused
by Portal or BEEMOD or both.
K7 Avenger  [author] 21 Aug, 2017 @ 10:56am
@jgaultney ah i guess i can accept that as an alternate solution. Weirdly the cube colouriser seems bugged in your video.
jgaultney 21 Aug, 2017 @ 10:50am
I solved the same as your video except for moving the cube from the first button
to the second button
where I did it the hard way. :)
The following clip shows me thinking and NOT thinking, all at the same time. :steamfacepalm:

@jgaultney Thank you, glad you liked it! Could you check if you solved it the same way as the video above?
jgaultney 21 Aug, 2017 @ 9:01am
"Diabolical" would be more accurate. :) Thumbs up and favorited!
