Two lost blindruns in a row? Really self? 😔
Nice Azorae-like laser-and-fizzler puzzle. Not too hard having played several puzzles of this type, but still requires you to think. Mind you, walking in the same lane as a laser over a light bridge over goo is kind of cringe, and I did almost die, soooo

EDIT FROM FUTURE ME: turns out the bridge isn’t even necessary! Looking through the comments only one other person was able to solve without the bridge and most solved without the ceiling surface. Here’s my new solution without using either.

Difficulty: 3.75/10
Enjoyed: 7.5/10

Very cool map

challenging and interesting. and there seems to be one unnecessary white floor on the ceiling, for decoration or misleading? hah

This does in fact seem like an advanced version of sectors; very nice progression of moves
Mikeastro 22 Sep, 2018 @ 2:43pm
Very nice

Fun little laser map. Thumbs up.

Cute little room. Reminds me "Minily" a bit (though I see your map was made earlier).

Thanks for the chamber.

Excellent puzzle. Amazing work, especially as it was made 5 years ago!

Simple but very clever

A very good laser puzzle! Thumbs up and favorited. :p2blue:
Gigo  [author] 27 Aug, 2015 @ 7:14am
I don't remember, but it's probably to prevent getting stuck somewhere, but where, I don't know.
RedSilencer 25 Aug, 2015 @ 9:43pm
Same as Almisuifre, I don't understand the purpose of the ceiling surface.
Almisuifre 8 Jan, 2015 @ 8:35am
I didn't use and even get why there's a ceiling panel, but my solution was clean and satisfying : nice work.
wildgoosespeeder 30 Dec, 2014 @ 2:43pm
Never used the ceiling portal surface. Laser fizzler puzzles are not my favorite kind of puzzle but this was OK.
dire.fcs 24 Nov, 2014 @ 11:43am
Great work again!
多崎つくる 25 Sep, 2013 @ 8:04pm
What is the intended solution..? I didn't need to use the ceiling panel, and some people say they didn't need to use the light bridge (which I had to use).
Enigmatic 6 Mar, 2013 @ 3:13am
i didn't use the bridge for solved your map. But good map
AgentFire 2 Mar, 2013 @ 1:52pm
EAsy one.
NiclO (- - ) 28 Dec, 2012 @ 4:13am
Great map! But I dont like that you wrote "simple" in the descriptions, cus that makes me a dumb dumb. Cus this was a challenge for me! Only managed to solve it after I played sector which was much easier.
harbin9er 24 Dec, 2012 @ 7:27pm
Not sure if the way I solved it was intended - I also didn't use the ceiling surface.
Basically I exploited the fact that that the surface across the laser above the goo pond was two wide, and the surface at the exit was also two wide. I lined up the optical cube to hit the laser receptor at the cube's spawn room but only when the laser is coming through on one side of the two-wide surface...
Vice 24 Dec, 2012 @ 12:15pm
Solved it cleanly, but I don't think I did it your intended way. Didnt use bridge or ceiling surface.
1980 21 Dec, 2012 @ 4:10pm
Very logical and great map, anyway :D
tuyuqas 21 Dec, 2012 @ 6:04am
I simply meant that Sectors had already prepared me to such kind of test chambers and their difficulties. However, both Sectors and Ameliorate are genius masterpieces, and, in my opinion, could replace any of the Valve's initially created test chambers.
So, I hope, no more misunderstanding and offending. :D
tuyuqas 21 Dec, 2012 @ 5:58am
Yes, I know. The result of two geniuses' collaboration :D. Don't get offended.
Gigo  [author] 21 Dec, 2012 @ 4:54am
Sectors is half mine aswell :(
tuyuqas 21 Dec, 2012 @ 12:53am
Absolutely brilliant chamber! Having already experienced Azorae's Sectors, I had less difficulties in putting a way through this one (though it had new elements in it). And yet, I agree with Cyhborg, EXTREME portal and positioning accuracy is needed. The last part with shooting the laser at a weird angle took me 6-7 attempts to accomplish. Anyways, magnificent job.

P.S. Sorry for intervening your grammar debate, guys. There's also an orthographic error in the description. The word "resemble" has one "s" in it, not two. :)
Akiva 20 Dec, 2012 @ 6:23pm
Not "Azorae's and my"? 'Cause it ressembles Azorae's puzzle, and it ressembles my puzzle (from your POV), so it ressembles Azorae's and my puzzle (from your POV).
Gigo  [author] 18 Dec, 2012 @ 2:00pm
I'm not sure that someone who can't spell grammar would be any good at it tbh. :D
The Sojourner 18 Dec, 2012 @ 9:56am
Of course. Now we have it all figured out. Back to testing/test making for us.
Gigo  [author] 18 Dec, 2012 @ 8:55am
@Inspirata That can't be right, if it were anything, it would "Mine and Azorae's"
Gigo  [author] 18 Dec, 2012 @ 8:51am
Note: When I said it belongs to "Azorae and I", I meant "Azorae and I own it." Whoops
The Sojourner 18 Dec, 2012 @ 12:50am
It's "my and Azorae's," Mr. Grammar.
Gigo  [author] 16 Dec, 2012 @ 8:32am
However, it belongs to "Azorae and I" thus "Azorae and I's"
cyhborg 16 Dec, 2012 @ 7:40am
Neat puzzle. After a while, I knew what I had to do, but the execution was a bit frustrating,

I believe Azorae is right: "my puzzle", thus "my and Azorae's puzzle"
The Sojourner 11 Dec, 2012 @ 11:08pm
You really can't resist the grating-covered goo, can you?

This test chamber actually reminded me of another one of your more recent puzzles.
Gigo  [author] 8 Dec, 2012 @ 3:42am
I think it's either, but grammar really needs to make its mind up.
Azorae 7 Dec, 2012 @ 8:31pm
I think it's "my and Azorae's"

First person plural possessives are weird
