Since this mod has been reported working in 1.5 I added it to the No Version Warning-mod

I think this mod and the "cleaning zone" mod should team up and make a "priority cleaning zone"

That way you can designate your own rooms as the priority, since the game sometimes doesn't categorize rooms correctly depending on what you put in there. For example, my kitchen gets turned into a "workshop" if I have any other production facility in there.

any chance of adding an option to priority clean "fine" tiles? That way one could easily designate throne rooms etc. to be cleaned preferentially.

Hello, got an issue and maybe a solution. Playing on 1.4 but the mod menu is blank with no options and throws up an error. While not exactly the same, other mods with the 'blank mod menu' error found a solution, and so sharing it with you:

"Another modder fixed this issue by recompiling their .dll with the version 1.4 of Assembly-CSharp.dll ."

^ From a modder who had the blank menu option, but did this and got it fixed. Just spreading the word to other mods I find with blank menus that give an error in the dev log.

In Ideology, visitors from other factions do no work, so their only work tasks are "bed rest" and "patient". I noticed that you have overlooked this and left it enabled in this instance, oops!

This never worked for me. Some past comments mentioning that the pawns get stuck and do nothing att all. This happend to me too,

Thank you for creating this mod! I really like it.

I have noticed a minor bug, though. Guests that will not perform any work can still be assigned to do the clean+ work.

This seems like a great idea! I would also like for the job to focus on a user-set area, but setting it automatically based on terrain types sounds nice. I would love to try it as soon as it updates to 1.3!

I finally figured out that this was the mod that was breaking my pawns making them stand around and do nothing. It's a shame that this mod is so useful, please update!

@Blood Tear It doesn't work on 1.3 if added mid game. It messed up the work plan completely (everyone just stopped working despite there being work to be done). Haven't tried a new game but I am not optimistic.

It would be nice if you could set it to an area, maybe as a toggle or something. I love playing tribal starts, so I usually don't get to sterile tiles for a while. However, I do usually set up a room with tiled floors that is separated from my communal works space specifically to reduce traffic from non-essential personnel. This would be the absolute cherry on top for me if it worked in that setting.

Was able to confirm something similar to @9tails. I also think the description of the job is a bit inaccurate since it doesn't seem like it just applies to Sterile Tiles? Had a construction worker running to a prisoner barracks halfway across the map just to clean wood flooring. Clean+ was the only skill affecting job assignment.

Hi, does it work for the Misc AI cleaning robots? their jobs are not in the work menu, and i control them via area. for the urgent areas i designated just two extra cleanign bots.

Well normally in-game I set priorityclean to have less priority than a pawn's main skillset (like mining for miners). I do agree that it's annoying behavior though, I'll look into adding a max distance to search for cleaning spots.

My other in-game suggestion would be to use the doormats mod https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1505423207 , as a doormat under a door to a prioritycleaned area cuts down on most filth being tracked in.

I've noticed my pawns doing silly things with this mod active, like walking halfway across the map, mining one square, then walking back to base to clean one spot of dirt in the infirmary, and then back to mining....

Is there some way to prevent this behavior?

Thanks for posting that log, it helps track down which specific line of code is failing and is the best info aside from knowing which mods cause the incompatibility.

Can anyone who experiences the issue check if the release I just created solved that issue? You may need to exit and relaunch steam to download the update.

More strangeness. I set the zone again, and it started working. Maybe it is clearing the zone for some reason after a period of time? Could it be related to GC? (I recently installed RuntimeGC, so I wonder if something that changes to help improve performance is messing with your stored variable?)

I'm getting the issue, and for me it seemed to be when I hadn't set a priority zone yet. It might be worth defaulting it to the Home zone or something to see if that removes the issue for everyone.
