@DeathWish808 Thanks for playing again :] Apart from that small thing, I believe you solved it all as intended. And pretty quickly, too!
DeathWish808 20 Jul, 2020 @ 1:09pm
Excellent puzzle! I like how it unfolded. I did do a cheesy bit which skipped a short sequence which I realized right after I did it, but I do know the intended way. lol

@Spider_Dawg Thanks for playing... once more! I'm glad you liked this one. The move you are describing is my favourite in the map, and I agree with what you say about how the steps in this map are clearly divided. Excellent work!
Spider_Dawg 6 Dec, 2019 @ 6:35pm
Very enjoyable. I think I agree with @kimist108 about not thinking the drop was intended, but eventually decided it must be. I like being able to see what the next goal is, each step is like its own little puzzle and with this chamber it was clear that each step was completed correctly. Cheers!
Mikeastro  [author] 11 Jul, 2019 @ 2:32am
@kimist108 Thank you! Well done solving it :) The move that I think you are referring to, is my favourite part of this puzzle
kimist108 11 Jul, 2019 @ 12:14am
Super satisfying solving this map. I thought that the move with the weighted cube was not intended, but went ahead. Yep, it was intended.

@amir.khodayan1377 Excellent work! Well done solving it and I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it :D

Finally I did beat it! Enjoyed as always! :steamhappy:
Mikeastro  [author] 11 May, 2019 @ 2:15pm
@Teo Thanks - it's quite a small puzzle indeed. I have no doubt that you can solve the others too :]
Teo 11 May, 2019 @ 1:47pm
I really enjoyed that one, found it a lot easier than the other maps in your best of (as I haven't beaten most of them) :P I loved the cube management in this one

@quatrus Thank you very much! Well done solving it :)

Another outstanding puzzle. Took a long time to solve but execution is just logical. Thanks for creating.

@sembiox Thank you once again! I'm glad you liked it :) The solution to this one is indeed quite ''clean''
sembiox 3 Nov, 2018 @ 6:47am
Well that was excellent.

I wasted a lot of time thinking that I had to osclilate the cube into a position that blocked the laser . The solution was much simpler in the end.
tapmage 22 Aug, 2018 @ 10:37am
Well I think you have a good hobby and people enjoy the challenge. Thx for the response.

Usually it takes a week or so of work in the late evenings for me to publish a new puzzle, but it differs from map to map how quickly I'm satisfied with the result. Harder puzzles often take more time, for you must also think equally hard about preventing unintended solutions, which is tougher than you might think, because you want the player to have as much freedom as possible, but at the same time that there's only one way to do it, while also preserving a nice and natural environment.
Long story short: you will most likely solve all my maps in less time than I spent making them :P But I love making puzzles, so it's absolutely fine :)
Mikeastro  [author] 22 Aug, 2018 @ 3:26am
The question I ask myself most often is "can you get the cube(s) over there" for some specific location, and since you could get both cubes anywhere in this map, I added the hard to reach platform with the laser receiver and I could make it all work out. So no paper involved for me; just staring at the editor for long periods of time while playing the map or variations inside my head :)
Truthfully, sometimes it does involve some luck, I think, in setting up that extra bit that works really well. I've had map ideas I kept trying and trying to build upon but to no avail, until finally I found something nice (like "Inertial").
Mikeastro  [author] 22 Aug, 2018 @ 3:25am
@tapmage Thank you very much! I agree that a nice thing about this puzzle is that it is clear when you make progress, which is always helpful to stay motivated :)
So the way I usually come up with puzzles is either during a boring lecture or when I can't sleep - I usually think of a neat first couple of steps; for this map I think is was up to how to get to the area with the second cube, so that's done all in my head. Soon after I build the idea in the editor, amend a couple of things and then I'm usually not yet satisfied and I want to make it more complicated, while keeping the layout I already have and ideally reusing those elements a lot.
tapmage 21 Aug, 2018 @ 10:39pm
Sweet! I solved it! Took me about 2 hours though. Lol. I got stuck at first at the part where the cube and laser triggers the stairs. I thought I did that but for some reason I didn't think that worked at first so I ignored it for a long time, but when I tried it again I did a facepalm and realized "hmm works after all". After that I was able to think things thru one step at a time slowly. Normally if I can keep progressing thru the puzzle I may continue with it even if it take 2 or 3 hours, but if I'm not progressing much I feel it's smarter not to spend any more time on it. But with this particular puzzle I kept advancing so stuck with it. The question is, if I spent about 2 hours roughly, how long did it take you to come up with this cool puzzle? Multiple hours? I just wonder how you figure all that stuff out. Trial and error? Do you come up with the idea(s) using paper first then seeing what works? Or both? Other method?

@Nobody No-One Haha I guess I do, if you play them in the right order :P
Nobody No-One 16 Jun, 2018 @ 12:29pm
Nice one. You seem to reall like the move of using a regular cube to block a lser .

Thanks to everyone for their comments the last couple of days! I'm really happy to hear that you all enjoyed it :)

Very nice puzzle as usual. For some reason I spent a lot of time figuring out how to get the 2nd cube, apart from that I'd say I did pretty well :D thanks for sharing.
bullfrog 11 Jun, 2018 @ 1:08am
Outstanding logic puzzle; you’ve excelled yourself (yet again) with this one. After I’d worked out how to get the cubes, I couldn’t think how to achieve what I thought needed to be the next move. I gradually worked out the rest of it, in pretty much reverse order, but that one move had me stumped. I Had a break and finally saw the light. Thumbs up, obviously, and added to favourites, definitely.

@dvdbillen Thank you very much for your kind words, it really means a lot :) I'm happy that you enjoyed solving so many of my puzzles! Oh, and sorry about the laser thing; portals are just too darn narrow :P
dvdbillen 20 May, 2018 @ 12:54pm
I literally got burned to death by a lazer at one point. To death.

Kzzzt kzzzt kzzzt until I died.

Anyway, since you seem to appreciate feedback I thought I'd tell you I've now finished all your "Best Logic Maps", (got busy for a while but finally came back and finished this last one). I currently rank you the best puzzle maker, at least to my taste in puzzles.
