Very well crafted solution but a bit too punishing for the smallest mistakes. I like the difficulty of this chamber.

7.7/10

for a game that's old and that much play, it's amazing how you find original idea.

Setting up the final move took a bunch of steps, very nice.

cool

Absolutely beautiful puzzle-setting. Nothing too complicated, but every realization was satisfying. I was able to figure out WHAT the final move was going to be, but it took me forever to figure out HOW to do it, and when I did figure it out, it was a very great feeling.

What a great map :-) I'd say it's plain sailing for most of the time but then the final puzzle with the ending move comes ^^ And it was sooo satisfying. Not only the setup of the final connection but especially the execution. The cube flew right into my arms with some beautiful mid-air spin. That was so visually appealing, I just love it! Rewinded and replayed my recording of it back and forth to enjoy that very moment again and again <3
Huge thumbs up, and though it's "only" easy-medium difficulty, I consider making it a favourite :-)

Still a great puzzle.

Great map! Winner of most creative use of a tractor beam to fling a cube. Thanks for your work!

That move took me about half an hour...
wildgoosespeeder 17 Mar, 2019 @ 1:22pm
Great map!

@Jinx136
I have seen this move once before, but I can't remember where exactly. I think it was this:

Thanks for the fun!

Thank you, @1980!
No, I'm not American nor am I British. I'm an Australian chick :)
1980 15 Dec, 2018 @ 4:53pm
You are a great puzzle desiner like many other famous mappers. Are you American or British guy?
Mikeastro 21 Oct, 2018 @ 6:53am
Excellent puzzle with a fun ending move!
Nobody No-One 4 Jul, 2018 @ 8:16pm
I played this a week or two ago but didn't comment. Very fun map. Thumbs up.
Miami Mike 3 Jul, 2018 @ 1:30pm
That was really great!

Someone a few years back, I think it was Mevious, came up with a passage that you could walk through without dissolving portals but you couldn't carry a cube though it, and he did it with just the elements of the in-game editor. The passage was constantly flooded with repulsion gel from both sides and above, so that if you carried a cube through it it immediately got contaminated and became useless, and you had to go back and get another one.

Great test, Fumbly! Really liked it. Final move was especially clever. Thumbs up and faved!

Very nice map indeed, added to favorites. The ending move was great, don't think I've seen that one before

I enjoyed that Fumbly :) I kinda knew what the ending move was going to be when I saw the faithplate and funnel, but I guess that's why it was inspired by Emerge :P (rip) Added to my favourites!

Great puzzle with no trick jumps or timing to beat. Loved it.
Libbybapa 15 Apr, 2018 @ 10:34am
Very nice. I enjoyed that a lot. Thanks.
RedneckTexan 14 Apr, 2018 @ 6:58pm
Very good man
Neightro 14 Apr, 2018 @ 4:27pm
Excellent! I love the idea of allowing the player to catch one cube, but then making them bring the funnel for the second. Great chamber overall.
quatrus 13 Apr, 2018 @ 10:06am
Excellent puzzle to move the cube - took a while to see but easy to execute once figured out. Well done. Thanks for creating again.
EndOfPortal 13 Apr, 2018 @ 5:10am
I was able to solve this puzzle now. There are often problems with these narrow bands (I have 2 computers with Win 7 and Win 10 and the problem remains the same). We can do 10 portals by following without problem and then it does not work anymore. In any case an exellent puzzle (as usual).
Tom 13 Apr, 2018 @ 2:54am
great map thanks
Fumbly Bumbly  [author] 12 Apr, 2018 @ 11:17pm
That's strange about the faithplate surface. It works beyond perfectly in testing (It even snaps your portal to the right orientation when viewing it from the side), but I'll change it back since it's clear that it's causing trouble after publishing.
davros 12 Apr, 2018 @ 7:27pm
I don;t know whats going wrong but I cannot create a portal above the catapult unless I am standing on the faith plate. There is no target above the catapult as with the solution version.
Swedish Firefighter 12 Apr, 2018 @ 5:38am
Good challenge! :steamhappy:
EndOfPortal 11 Apr, 2018 @ 4:25pm
You have decreased the width of the portable surface above the faith plate, and it is almost impossible to make a portal.
Avatar 11 Apr, 2018 @ 7:17am
I was a little dissapointed when I tried to merge the cube in the funnel by placing it on the edge of the faithplate, eventually the cube just sat on the faith plate after one hit, which made no sense. Nice puzzle though.
Psychological Atom 10 Apr, 2018 @ 8:14pm
@bullfrog I thought that wasn't going to be that possible to get the cube to the funnel. :)
bullfrog 10 Apr, 2018 @ 12:30am
Spoiler part walkthrough of an alternative method to get cube in funnel It doesn’t break the puzzle or bypass anything, it’s just another way to use that element :)
Psychological Atom 9 Apr, 2018 @ 10:06pm
Great map! To get the second cube to the button was reallly challenging, but very clever indeed. :)
Fumbly Bumbly  [author] 9 Apr, 2018 @ 9:37pm
Thanks everyone!
@Almisuifre Thank you for notifying me of that, I think I've fixed it now :)
jandlml 9 Apr, 2018 @ 8:20pm
i just played a map with that final move in it. for those of us that arent quick enough. great map!!
asears16 9 Apr, 2018 @ 4:07pm
Great map! According to @bullfrog's videos, I did everyting as intended. I thought the ending move was very clever. =)
Almisuifre 9 Apr, 2018 @ 3:09pm
My last step is made a 3rd way, nearly as bullfrog and jgaultney, using a quick portal shot :
exit area, on the MI field floor, with a cube, a portal above the plate, let the cube fall in, quick shot the funnel then same last move as bullfrog.
I like how almost everything in your designs is measured and carefully set :)
jgaultney 9 Apr, 2018 @ 9:02am
A very enjoyable puzzle! I solved the same as @bullfrog's alternate ending. :) Thumbs up!!
bullfrog 9 Apr, 2018 @ 3:38am
Good news :) The alternative end method uses one less portal, but it doesn't bypass anything, so whoop-de-doo :D
Fumbly Bumbly  [author] 9 Apr, 2018 @ 3:10am
Yep, those two solutions are both acceptable.
bullfrog 9 Apr, 2018 @ 2:57am
Here you go; spoiler walkthrough: intended? and spoiler walkthrough of an alternative end or this intended end? :)
Fumbly Bumbly  [author] 9 Apr, 2018 @ 2:45am
A walkthrough would be nice. I have since fixed an exploit regarding the final setup, but I am unsure if it is actually yours or another.
bullfrog 9 Apr, 2018 @ 1:28am
Yep, that's it; I play tested it for them, but obviously not well enough, as someone else (wasn’t that you?) found an exploit that broke it completely and could not be fixed, so I assume they deleted it. Anyway, back to your puzzle; I love the design and the use of the elements is very clever; thumbs up before, but now also added to favourites :). I found two ways to set up the end move, but it doesn’t break the puzzle or need a modification, IMHO, but I’ll do a walkthrough if you like?
Fumbly Bumbly  [author] 9 Apr, 2018 @ 1:00am
Thanks!
Emerge was K7's most recent puzzle, but he either deleted it or made it private due to a critical exploit. I thought I should still credit him though.
bullfrog 9 Apr, 2018 @ 12:58am
Excellent puzzle, I really enjoyed that. I'd say "Easy-Medium Difficulty" is about right. I'll go back and play it again, not just because it was that good, but also to see if I can find "any exploits and such" :) As an aside; I couldn't remember or find the K7 Avenger map, ‘Emerge’, you refer to?
