Really great map!

:lunar2019piginablanket:Nice little map.

It was great to see the mono-portal throughout the puzzle, but it was the second puzzle that actually impressed me the most, blocking the funnel with a lifting platform , although the final puzzle used this principle as well!

The sad thing is that I didn't realize that I could take all the things in the first puzzle , which I realize now!:steamfacepalm: Anyway, thanks for creating it in 2018.:BITRAY_CrazyCube:

@Aneonen Thanks for playing! I think you are correct that there is a trapping situation. Old map, what can I say? :cozycrashfish:
Aneonen 20 Jan, 2023 @ 9:35pm
Very enjoyable set of puzzles. I liked the thematic consistency not only in the consistent use of the same autoportal across three major rooms, but also in how the rising platforms are used in the second and third of them. The style of the puzzles is definitely old, but I still had fun.

Am I delusional, or is there a trapping situation if the player disconnects themselves from the third room after traveling back into the first, as the exit door permanently locks after being passed through? Not a big deal, but I thought I might be missing something since I didn't see any other comments about it.

@Mr Fab Thank you very much! Great work solving it :D
Mr Fab 5 Feb, 2022 @ 9:25am
Nicely done ! I had a lot of fun  Favorited !
Mikeastro  [author] 8 Jun, 2021 @ 2:10am
@Reika Thanks for playing! This map is a little old indeed. The third room is definitely the nicest one, so I'm happy to hear that you liked it :]
Reika 7 Jun, 2021 @ 7:47pm
OK, an addendum: the third room is a lot nicer - the puzzle is a lot more "natural", there is much less in the way of time pressure, and I have always had a soft spot for "interconnected" rooms like this.
Reika 7 Jun, 2021 @ 7:38pm
Unfortunately, I cannot say I enjoyed this one at all - the timing is far too tight everywhere. That might, however, be me being more sensitive than most.

Also, you have some BEE angled block geometry covering antlines here and there; just mentioning it because whenever my old maps had it, people flipped their $#!&. :P
Mikeastro  [author] 21 Sep, 2020 @ 3:51am
@BehindPortal Excellent work solving the whole thing :D The last room is definitely the hardest one. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed!
BehindPortal 21 Sep, 2020 @ 3:24am
very good puzzle. clever use of funnels and creative ideas. last room was not medium. little hard for me. :p2cube:fav

Cool map.
Mikeastro  [author] 20 Jul, 2020 @ 4:10pm
@DeathWish808 Thank you very much for playing :] In the second room by doing the tightly timed cube jump, you skipped the most interesting move, but the rest was right - you can check the video if you want to. In the last room you skipped only a small subsequence by shooting a portal under the fizzler. Apart from that, all was good :] I'm glad you enjoyed it :D
DeathWish808 20 Jul, 2020 @ 1:12pm
Great map and increasingly difficult which was cool. I was stuck for a few minutes in the last area before I facepalmed and finished. I think I may have done a thing or two unintended in the 2nd-3rd areas possibly? Faved! Cheers!

@Spider_Dawg Haha excellent work solving this one :D The last room is indeed not easy at all. I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed it!
Spider_Dawg 1 Dec, 2019 @ 6:11pm
Very cool, I love the Big Lebowski factor the way it tied the whole room(s) together . Just about the exact difficulty that I enjoy (and my brain can handle), lately I've been skipping anything tougher. That last room took me quite a while to get just right, but since I could see what needed to be done it was mostly a matter of trying different ideas until one worked. Thumbs up!

@kimist108 Haha excellent work xD Happy to hear that you enjoyed it
kimist108 13 Jul, 2019 @ 6:15pm
Ohhh, that was fun. I kind of got the last step in the second room by accident. I was running around and just happened to run in the correct direction. When, I saw the result of my blindly running around, I was tickled pink.

@Teo I start to sound like a broken record but... Thank you :)
Teo 24 May, 2019 @ 7:21pm
Incredibly good. Very unique way of creating delay in the third room. Definite favorite
Mikeastro  [author] 7 Dec, 2018 @ 9:58am
@quatrus Once more very well done! Also, noclipping when making a mistake when the underlying idea was right, is perfectly okay :)
quatrus 7 Dec, 2018 @ 9:46am
Quite a challenge. I managed to get through the whole map, but fell going from the raised platform to the exit door. Just no clipped back up, sorry. Thanks for this creation.

@sembiox I'm happy to hear that you liked it! I fully agree with you that continuous progress is really satisfying and motivating when solving challenging puzzles - this is the reason I try to put the trickiest parts near the end of the map, instead of at the beginning - not seeing how to start at all can be very frustrating
sembiox 27 Oct, 2018 @ 5:48am
I thought the whole of this was blindingly clever and novel. Excellent...just the right ammount of difficulty and pace for me. I always felt I was making steady progress rather than being completely blocked which is how it should be.
Mikeastro  [author] 4 Sep, 2018 @ 5:39am
@HugoBDesigner Thanks! I'm glad to hear that you liked it. Also, a very entertaining blind run! The last room is indeed the climax of the map - well done on figuring it all out relatively quickly :)
HugoBDesigner 3 Sep, 2018 @ 9:23pm
It was quite an enjoyable map, thanks for recommending! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzvGInxsGJE

This must be a top 5 monoportal map for me! Excellent work!
Mikeastro  [author] 23 Jul, 2018 @ 8:52pm
@Joric Thank you! This is actually not even a custom track :P The last part is indeed the most subtle
Joric 23 Jul, 2018 @ 3:54pm
Magical! Custom music as well. Last part was kind of hard!
Mikeastro  [author] 12 Jun, 2018 @ 3:48am
@Nobody No-One Thank you! I kinda just kept adding to the map because I wasn't yet completely satisfied with just the first two puzzles, but with the third one I totally was :)
Nobody No-One 11 Jun, 2018 @ 8:43pm
Also I don't think I've ever seen a map where the monoportal stays the same through the entire map even when you go to a different room. That's very clever.
Nobody No-One 11 Jun, 2018 @ 8:42pm
The first two rooms were pretty good. While the first room was clever, I didn't love the timing you had to do to make sure the cube fell onto the right platform when the sphere hit the button . The second room was clever especially with the use of the piston platform to block the funnel , but I didn't enjoy it enough to favorite the map. But the third room was absolutely amazing for me; I love how you have to bring back the elements from the first room, I like how the piston-platform-blocking-something mechanic was reused from the second room, the use and reuse of the conductive plate with a different cube each time was great, and the final cube respawn to make the platform go up was really satisfying. Excellent map and a definite favorite.

@Atom Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed it :)
Psychological Atom 11 Jun, 2018 @ 12:22am
Excellent puzzle indeed! I like how you put the three different puzzles to connect as one whole puzzle! :D

@jandlml Very well! I'm happy to hear that you liked it :)

@bullfrog Thank you! I see you like living on the edge :p
bullfrog 9 Jun, 2018 @ 3:13am
Great puzzle with clever use of piston platform and funnels. Looked at @Libbybapa’s walkthrough and noticed that I did the second part by a slightly unintended method: cube on edge of button. This was probably due to me playing your excellent Inertial puzzle recently :P
jandlml 7 Jun, 2018 @ 5:48pm
i fugured out what i did wrong. now on to the second area. lets see if i can get through this
Mikeastro  [author] 7 Jun, 2018 @ 5:44pm
@jandlml the trick to the first room is to let the cube go around in a cycle and then dropping the sphere at the right time; hope this helps
jandlml 7 Jun, 2018 @ 4:41pm
no matter what i do i cannot get the sphere to go down first . its always the cube
Sector 5 21 Apr, 2018 @ 4:44pm
large but fun map,,,,,,,,,,,,best so far!,,,,,,,,,thanx for maiking,,,,,,,
Mikeastro  [author] 19 Apr, 2018 @ 1:13pm
@leomievs Thanks for playing! That is indeed a tricky bit :)
Leo 19 Apr, 2018 @ 12:46pm
Once again, really clever puzzles. I didn't think a monoportal map could be so challenging. Actually, I was stuck for the longest time in the last room because I was convinced you had to put the cube on the button to activate the reversed funnel BEFORE going back to the 1st room I ended up watching Libbybapa's video. In retrospect, I think I could've beat it if I'd given myself more time, but now it's too late!
Mikeastro  [author] 17 Apr, 2018 @ 3:43am
@Libbybapa Your solution was truly flawless! I think that changing one of the first two cubes into a sphere will solve the issue you mentioned; I will adjust it later today :D
Mikeastro  [author] 17 Apr, 2018 @ 3:17am
@Libbybapa Thanks for playing and for your feedback and the video (I will look at it momentarily). You are absolutely correct that I overlooked a trapping situation in the first room; I will try to think of a way to prevent that. The conductive plate is undoubtedly a good idea; I will implement it shortly :)
Libbybapa 16 Apr, 2018 @ 11:06pm
I enjoyed it. Here's the solution I used: https://youtu.be/Rx95rkh5MUw It all seemed intended. I think you have a trapping situation if the player sends the CC onto the funnel button in the first room. Restart required. You might consider a conductive plate in the last room instead of the button with blocks above it. I also prefer conductive plates for cube buttons in general because they aren't as fussy for cube placement. Anyway, fun test. I really enjoyed how you tied the first and last rooms together. Thanks for making.

@jgaultney Thank you very much! I'm glad to see that my work paid off :D
