@DeathWish808 Thanks for playing :] This was just a little proof of concept

This will most likely be the shortest video playing one of your maps ever.

Well, having figured out that one of my lecturers from uni had made tons of Portal 2 maps, it didn't take long for me to decide to go through them systematically. So I'm going through the logic maps collection now, really enjoying it so far :).

@jeroenvdb Bedankt! I wonder how you found this old map though :P

Wow, this was cool! Very fun and unique concept!

@Spider_Dawg Thanks for playing. From time to time I've thought about expanding this concept, but I haven't really had any proper ideas. Maybe some day, though :]

That was fun. Had me stumped for a few minutes, tried respawning the cube to see if it would fall with different orientation , and when that didn't work the moment of clarity finally arrived. Not sure if I was relieved or disappointed that the exit didn't lead to a tougher puzzle.

never watched what happens to the cube as it goes through funnels. Learned something new. Thanks for creating.

@Joric Thank you for the video! Indeed once you see what has to be done, you can do it really quickly

My 1-minute playthrough: https://youtu.be/U4tG2jN7zkw No rewind, it's really that short.

Well done! Once you see it, it becomes clear :)

Patience and observation. Super. Finally got it. Thanks

@Joric Thank you! I'm still thinking of a good way to really put it to use, but some day I will for sure!
Joric 23 Jul, 2018 @ 7:33am
Nice! Very, I'd say, logical. Never seen anything like that before.

Re my previous comment: for anybody who’s interested, the map I was thinking of is KEY TO THE KINGDOM!!! by @isforshooting https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=810090035

Ditto @jgaultney's comment. I can't remember the specific map, but I think I added to my favourites - I'll have a look later. It had two wall portals at 90 degrees, one oposite a laser, cube rotated by 90 degrees each time it went around the loop (no need to re-shoot any portals, just let it keep going around the loop) and thus activated different catchers on the way allowing you to pass through different fizzlers.

Pretty clever, think i've seen it before, but rarely. The only drawback I can see is that it's difficult to see which way the lens is pointing, but that's not insurmountable. Thanks for creating.

Thanks everyone for your comments :) I'm happy to hear that you like the concept; I'll give it some thought to see if I can turn it into a bigger test!
ZAEROS 30 Apr, 2018 @ 1:37am
Not seen this as the main part of a puzzle before, Enjoyed, Thank you.
Psychological Atom 29 Apr, 2018 @ 9:36pm
Very awesome puzzle indeed.
jgaultney 29 Apr, 2018 @ 2:18pm
A fun puzzle. I have seen this idea before but not often, or recently. :)
Leo 28 Apr, 2018 @ 1:19pm
Neat concept! Using it to open different paths might indeed be a good idea. This room could be a hub leading to the different parts of the chamber, and you'd need to switch the orientation of the cube to access all the parts
Libbybapa 27 Apr, 2018 @ 6:35pm
It was good. Thanks.
Oblivious Owl 27 Apr, 2018 @ 5:38pm
Really like this puzzle! I'm not much for ideas, but maybe one is that this orientation trick could open differemt paths for the cube to follow?
