Easy but enjoyable, so thumbs up.
I would have liked for this to be the first room of a multi-part puzzle, with the second part expanding on the concept.

I've seen steps like that many years ago in a Cave Johnson-style test, but I can't recall the name.
If the staircase is not raised then you can portal it.
