Fun pair of puzzles! I enjoyed them. Warnings be damned; I lean where I please.

Fine map! Cool hammer work in the second room.

@canticle thanks for the heads up! Updated the URLs to Orb's profile. And thanks for playing!

Enjoyed the puzzles and the two different environments presented. On the second puzzle, I spent and embarrassingly large amount of time trying to take the cube with me during the fall/momentum boost to fling/run to the raised area under the door--and failing badly. Finally, I did the jump just by myself and found the hidden portalable surface ...palm to forehead:steamfacepalm:. Also, liked the custom music in second puzzle...unfortunately the link above no longer leads anywhere useful.:steamsad:

Ah, I found @| \_/ ()'s solution. It wouldn't have been possible without that white panel recessed into the wall. And I never used that panel in the correct solution, because I took the cube with me.

just wew!!!!:steamhappy:

Very fun! I agree with what seems to be the consensus, that the first part was more difficult to solve. Took me a while to even try to lower the ramp back down .

Very nice hammer map. Great work :]

I'm your target audience then, believe me. I'm not one to start bunnyhopping or throwing cubes in good puzzles just to see how I'd break them, I just ment it was quite intuitive to try and place a portal there. I of course started all over and solved it the intended way - if I didn't do that, I wouldnt've bothered playing :D
HugoBDesigner  [author] 3 Mar, 2019 @ 10:33am
@| \_/ () It's not a straightforward way to break the map, but I don't think it's something I should fix. You might find "encouragement" in breaking maps, but I've also had people feel "encouraged" to noclip to the exit and downvote. Ultimately, each player finds enjoyment in playing however they desire. My target audience is players seeking logical puzzles, but I'm glad you liked it anyways. Thanks for playing!

Also, I find it odd, how the only time I needed to use the orange funnel was whenplacing orange gel on the ramp. I thought I'd need it to flow up to the ceiling in the "momentum" section of the room but nope, I could just go there, place a portal on the ceiling. Then walk back to the main room, spawn a new cube and ...wait there's a video above...*watches video*
So yeah, I basically solved it the way you did. I was just expecting something more complicated I guess.

All that being said, the map is very well done. It has a really good idea, the concept intro chamber especially had a well layed-out puzzle, the music in the second one was great and the detailing looks nice. Thumbs up!

Broken! Not only did I break it, but the layout of the chamber encouraged me to. When I saw the white floor under the exit through the glass windows, I immediately wanted to shoot a Portal there so I took the cube, jumped off of it and it worked! I managed to shoot a Portal under the exit. Then I put the cube on the funnel-button, went through the portal, lookd up, shot another portal over the grate, went there and shot a portal in the funnel and Bam! I basically solved the chamber without momentum OR orange gel. It seems "gel is not always enough", but "sometimes gel is not even needed" :D

Took a while to get the ceiling portal placement to work, otherwise lots of fun. Thanks!

Nice design and puzzles!

Fun map! Nice work! I like the lights for the funnel. That should be a beemod option. (P.S. Gel is purple because I playtested a map with that gel in it and forgot to restart Portal.)

Great hammer work and puzzles, favourited!

Very nice map with great hammer work!
The first chamber was clever, and the second one simple, but cool
My only complain is about the jumps, you have to be very precise, but that's fine
Also, i see a lot of aerond style with the light strips and the tile broken i've seen in every of his maps, and the bts style of MisterLambda
Oh, and the cubemaps correctly compiled, this is rare
Thumbs up :)

@Unowninator Maker sure that you're pushing forward when you're flinging out of the ramp. Also, I found that sticking further into the back of the ramp before starting the run also helps.
Unowninator 26 Sep, 2018 @ 11:14am

How come when I try the intended solution, I fall short? I just hit the railing, but am not high enough to make it?
HugoBDesigner  [author] 26 Sep, 2018 @ 3:02am
@quaternary there is a way, yes. Think of how you can move heavy objects in this map
Nobody No-One 25 Sep, 2018 @ 3:58pm
@quaternary Yes, you can get in there without noclip.
quat 25 Sep, 2018 @ 3:15pm
Great map and funny easter egg, I will have to try them later. Is there a way to get in to the puzzle room without noclip?
jgaultney 24 Sep, 2018 @ 8:17am
Very enjoyable gel and momentum puzzles! Took me awhile to work my way to the exits. :)
Thumbs up and favorited.

good feedback @CoolDudeClem

I'm sorry to say this, but this map is BROKEN!! First of all, the ramp isn't long enough for me to jump to the exit in the first puzzle, so how do you expect anyone to solve it? So I had to noclip and the map doesn't even stop me from doing it, so I instantly HATE this map. The transition between the 2 puzzles was so frightening and I have motion sickness, do you even THINK about that? The second puzzle was BAD and too hard for me, I couldn't figure it out so I'm assuming it's broken too. So yeah, overall a fantastic map, thumbs up and favorite :)

The concept was great and very cleverly implemented. The first part reminded me of BEN 77's gel maps. Overall, a very good map I enjoyed a lot!

Great map, the hammer work was stunning and i realy like the smal details such as the tube for the cube. the music stoped playing after i reloaded the map (f7) but it worked fine other than that.

Great puzzles and looks marvellous. In the first puzzle I couldn't quite make what I was trying to do work, but convinced myself that this was just down to my poor technique, so I no-clipped to set it up and got to the second puzzle; which I completed with no problem. I just looked at the walkthrough and I'm now hanging my head in shame!
Psychological Atom 20 Sep, 2018 @ 9:34pm
Great hammer work and very good puzzles. I feel like this is your best hammer work. Glad to see you back :)
Nobody No-One 20 Sep, 2018 @ 7:49pm
I almost didn't realize this puzzle existed because it was posted so long ago (but only made publicly visible today, it seems). I'm glad I did, though. The hammer work is very nice, and the puzzles were easy but good. My only complaint is that the orange state of the funnel seems a bit underused in the second room. Once I got the gel onto the ramp, I never used the orange funnel again. Overall, big thumbs up.

P.S. I found the secret area in the observation room with what seem to be 3 little mini-puzzles on the wall, and some mysterious text on the door. I haven't solved the mini-puzzles but they look very cool so I will attempt them some other day.

I really like how you took the time to add a stain overlay to the spilled coffee cup in the unreachable observation room. That's the kind of dedication to detailing I enjoy, bravo!
