How compatible is this mod with Smelting Plus? I'd like to have both, since there are some recipies in this mod that Smelting Plus does not.
Lukong1515 1 Apr, 2016 @ 5:21pm
Could you add Leather
Werde Spinner 5 Aug, 2015 @ 10:07am
I can't imagine playing Skyrim without this mod; it is THAT vital. 10/10, will recommend to everyone.
pasha 7 Jan, 2015 @ 1:53am

john94 17 Apr, 2014 @ 12:47am
@ darvin when you frist start up your game give it some time to download the mod before pressing play you will have a message in the buttom saying something like all mods finished downloading then it should appear in your data files
kurtrhinehart 22 Mar, 2014 @ 4:27am
Excellent mod that makes crafting so much more fun and saves me having to traverse Skyrim to get examples of certain armours to display in my armoury. It is lots of fun and works for anyone who wants a character who is a master craftsman.

TO ANYONE MISS-READING THE LIST: you are just recycling your gear by melting down weapons and armor back into ingots
Xeridanus 13 Mar, 2014 @ 6:12am
For what it's worth, Fire_Fly, You're interpreting the lists wrong. Each list of items makes the item mentioned at the top of the list. So where it says "- (1) 2 Gold Ore " that means it makes 1 gold bar and requires 2 gold ore. Same as vanilla.
SkyDrifter 14 Feb, 2014 @ 7:29pm
Jewlery section only shows Gold Ignot there is no Gold Ore in this mod the mod dos not match the list you have here.
Boom  [author] 14 Feb, 2014 @ 5:42pm
Look in the Jewlery section. The Smelter didn't have a 'Gold' category.
SkyDrifter 14 Feb, 2014 @ 4:20pm
@ Boomb up top list show that you can make Gold Ore but the recipe dos not show in smelter list as this list states that it aposto.
Boom  [author] 14 Feb, 2014 @ 3:46pm
Yes they do, there's 12 recipes for them.
SkyDrifter 13 Feb, 2014 @ 7:15pm
Gold Ore dos not show up on list
Cat Man Dan 22 Jan, 2014 @ 12:30am
Boom, please could you add silver weapon smelting. I have SO many silver swords and I don't think they're modded into the game.
BlueScreen 7 Dec, 2013 @ 12:03pm
1: Get iron and leather
2: Make daggers, lots of.
3: Smelt daggers into iron.
4: Add leather, repeat 2.
5: Infinitely raise Smithing ability.
6: ??????????????
7: Profit!!!
Warsun 28 Oct, 2013 @ 9:02pm
I use this in combination of Ingot Recovery. With both mods. There seems to be no conflict so i can use both at the same time.
Warsun 28 Oct, 2013 @ 9:01pm
Still better mod than the others so far.
Kultag 23 Oct, 2013 @ 1:40pm
Hi. To the author: there's a mod here on Steam, a player's house, called Halls of the Dovahkiin. It seems that that mod makes the gold ingots disappear from the inventory list (and all containers), even though it is present, the weight registers. Why I'm writing here about this is that it seems that installing More Smelting Recipes 1.1 and placing it above HotD makes the gold ingots reappear in the inventory. It seems that this mod is a cure somehow to that mod's bug. This has been discussed there in the last few pages (I started it, author and others involved). Just FYI.

why not just put a little tick box you can click to exspand the menu to see all the stuff you can make? that way it does not clutter anything.
Jaws of Oceania 19 Aug, 2013 @ 9:02pm
I have dwarven ingots which I would like to smelt into spoons. Will this mod do that?
SpacecaseJLP 28 Jul, 2013 @ 5:59am
Is there some way to make it so it doesn't smelt enchanted items or anything I am wearing?
PhoxxPhire 22 Jul, 2013 @ 7:43pm
Always wanted to counterfeit gold in Skyrim... Thanks Boom! :)
Crowley 13 Jul, 2013 @ 6:25pm
Btw totaly awesome mod, thumbs up and favorite from me XD
Boom  [author] 6 Jul, 2013 @ 7:11pm
Whoops!

I'll make sure to fix that in the next update.
Crowley 6 Jul, 2013 @ 10:49am
Hey I don't know if it's been brought to atention yet or not, but smelting an Imperial Bow give me 3 steel ingots, when it only takes two to smith one.
Boom  [author] 21 Apr, 2013 @ 2:16pm
I'm okay with that one. It seems roughly fair, and costs time. If someone is willing to grind off of that, it's their time wasted.
NightEyes 20 Apr, 2013 @ 10:50pm
Also a pisible problem, several baseline jewelry recipes have no loss on smelting, so smithing rings and necklaces, smelting them down, and resmithing them over and over results in infinate skill with no material loss
Boom  [author] 20 Apr, 2013 @ 4:07pm
Hmm. You might be right about that one. I can't remember whether or not I implemented that kind of prerequisite. I'll have to look into it.
NightEyes 19 Apr, 2013 @ 11:30pm
Found a posible flaw. This mod seems to turn off the ability to smelt ores into ingots for any material that you don't have the smithing skill for.. AKA Malachite if you don't have glass smithing, moonstone without elven.. etc
Boom  [author] 15 Mar, 2013 @ 1:58pm
@lihodel

I set the arrow transfer rate to 80 for a reason. It will make more sense if you look into my Arrow Smithing Mod.
Olevipoeg 15 Mar, 2013 @ 6:33am
@Kosh800 please buy me it xD
i could try making it xD
LOL jk xD
(sorry for my too many xD's but im a xD man. xD.)
Rated R 12 Mar, 2013 @ 9:14pm
lol please hurry on the dlc smelting armor and weapons and things i mean no one has an update to the dlc i even check on nexus and nothing and i really like this mod cause you really much have skyrim cover for this just need the dlc...
Lihodel 10 Mar, 2013 @ 1:27pm
Arrows smelting:30 arrows not 80!!
Boom  [author] 8 Feb, 2013 @ 9:21am
@ RaVant: Sorry, but no. Jewelry returns the materal used to make them, and the gem is lost in the process. This was intentional, for continuity and balancing.
Kosh800 8 Feb, 2013 @ 4:47am
Someone buy this man the DLC! lol ... I want to smelt my nordic shit in Dragonborn.
RaVant 6 Feb, 2013 @ 4:57pm
I apologize if this has already been suggested, but could you please add recipes for smelting gems out of rings, amulets and circlets?
Boom  [author] 22 Jan, 2013 @ 3:19pm
Interesting. Then perhaps something was wrong on their end, or another mod they had broke mine.

Either way, I do plan on adding DLC support whenever I find time to get them.
Initiation 21 Jan, 2013 @ 6:36am
I have all DLCs and this mod still works
[TW] RCH 20 Jan, 2013 @ 5:44pm
ok, thanks!
Boom  [author] 20 Jan, 2013 @ 11:51am
I don't have any of the DLCs, so I haven't been able to configure it.

Bethseda probably changed something, which overrid my recipes.

If I ever get the DLC, I will definitely make the changes.
TheLetterTen 17 Jan, 2013 @ 8:51pm
I had to unsubscribe because it wasn't giving me the options to smelt down items even when I did have them. I'm guessing this does not work with the DLC at all?
[TW] RCH 6 Jan, 2013 @ 5:28am
Maybe you can add more misc/tool items and DLC recipes when you update it?
such as: dibella statue, shovel, hammer, pickaxe... dawnguard armors/weapons.

Anyway, nice work!
Initiation 5 Jan, 2013 @ 9:30am
Great mod now I can smelt anything :)
Boom  [author] 22 Dec, 2012 @ 1:38pm
@Lazur

Probably not. The idea behind this mod is they you smelt the items down, returning the metals. By smelting Leather, it would essentially burn up, thus nothing to get back.
Lazur 20 Dec, 2012 @ 12:42pm
Are you Going to be adding a breakdown of leather/fur/hide armors aswell?
falloutgod13 17 Dec, 2012 @ 9:19am
Yeah, my bad, ran into the bug again last night after building more stuff in the house. Must be a hearthfire bug or something.
Boom  [author] 17 Dec, 2012 @ 9:17am
It shouldn't have any Cell Load Errors. Everything I did was Waypoint based.
nerdrage 7 Dec, 2012 @ 12:00pm
Great. While you're at it, perhaps you'll consider adding recipes for silver sword and silver greatsword (those from Silver Hand). Silver is obviously too soft to be their only component, so half the ingots compared to other weapons seems reasonable (as well as corresponding to their merchant value).
Boom  [author] 7 Dec, 2012 @ 9:09am
I thought I covered all of those duplicate recipes. I'll definitely look into it.
