I actually found out why they sink into the roads in a whim, it's because of the curb height Aduster Mod, can you do anything for compatibility with that? The high curbs look hideous
InCaseOfAsteroid 14 Mar, 2023 @ 11:52am
My crossings are also hiding below the roads for some reason. Would be awesome if you could fix this, cause the roads look really great!
ravogi 22 Feb, 2023 @ 5:32pm
fixed yet?
Nyrob€€ 10 Nov, 2022 @ 6:26am
As said, totally unusable because of sinking nodes. Although these paths look gorgeous, don't use them because you will end with a lot of frustration.
Heavy Weapons Gay 29 Jun, 2022 @ 1:41am
Same issue for me, loaded the game after few days of using the paths and I found half of my city sinking to the ground due to the bike paths. Unless fixed, I wouldn't recommend using it. :winter2019sadyul:

I've experienced a bug with this one. When loading a city with this path in it, they'd start to sink along with the terrain. It brought the simulation speed almost to halt. After I deleted these paths, the game returned to normal.

These look good, but theyre really annoying to build with. They snap to the ground in annoying ways, and sometimes won't let you raise or lower them. They have a tendency to hide underneath roads and the ground, and will often "eat" nodes too close together, making it very difficult to precisely set up complex crossings, especially on uneven ground. The dash marks are based on nodes, meaning theyll be stretched out unevenly depending on how long the path is, and the reflective properties are a bit weird, so sometimes short sections will appear to glow from certain angles.

But god do they look good...

@3D Master I would say red looks best but I can see how blue brings more visibility. However, if you are using red for painted bicycle gutters then yes, blue would or green may be better. However, if you make proper bicycle infrastructure. Whether that's traffic calmed streets with bike lanes, bike priority streets or separated bike lanes then the colour doesn't really matter since other things are slowing down vehicles and visibility of the path is not as much of a concern.
VonVirusxD 21 Dec, 2021 @ 5:48am
@3D Master, basically entire Eastern Europe uses red as well and I do not think that it will ever change.
vic.foras 30 Sep, 2021 @ 10:49am
This bike path is perfect, however the fact that it's snapped to the ground all the time makes the building process difficult, especially when you're going to build it close to where there's a fake ground made with PO.
GoDaBert 7 Aug, 2021 @ 1:50pm
I really like this mod. unfortunately sometimes you can't raise the ground level lane with move it. This means sometimes the bilekane is partly hidden under the street.
3D Master 25 Jul, 2021 @ 2:13am
A funny observation about the flat crossing; in Europe especially in the red lanes Dutch, crossings without traffic lines are rarely if ever flat. The crossing will be turned into a (speed) bump, forcing cars to slow down, and improving bike safety.
3D Master 25 Jul, 2021 @ 2:03am
But best yet: colorable.

https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2213452978

If every road creator made their bike lanes colorable, everyone can just mix and match each style road they want, different styles per different neighborhood perhaps, and keep all the bike lanes a consistant color.

Also; you don't need to redo the same work all over with a different color and upload the same thing multiple times. You just create one, color changeable, and done.

Work smarter, not harder.
3D Master 25 Jul, 2021 @ 1:57am
Just look:

https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2213452978

See ho much more blue pops in that screen shot with multiple colors; the study result even visible in a city sim game, isn't that amazing.
3D Master 25 Jul, 2021 @ 1:51am
Yeah, but I want blue; the Dutch are about he only ones who used red, as they started this, but they've done studies since as red brought some issues (visibility especially with red cobblestone roads and at night bein one) and the studies shown that blue is the best color. When traffic bike planners go overseas to show these things, they will tell the people there, we went with red, but blue is the way to go. Over time Dutch paths will all slowly become blue.

It also looks best!
sebnichols  [author] 25 Jul, 2021 @ 1:46am
@3D Master Fixed in red. There is also a green version
3D Master 25 Jul, 2021 @ 1:01am
Can you change the color or is it fixed in red?
Sebduction 15 May, 2021 @ 1:13am
Unfortunately this path displays some very serious terrain-bugs when loading the save. A shame because it is a great asset for a Dutch city.
SudakaGaming 10 Apr, 2021 @ 3:24pm
these are great! However, I'm having the same problem with the terrain glitches and can use only the elevated version. Do you plan to release a non-terrain conforming version with the pack? Thank you!
Avg NA Planner 24 Sep, 2020 @ 2:37pm
hey author, may i state that these paths are not showing up in my game. I have all the required mods, i have used them before, and most bizzarly, the green ones do show up in game. I have tried subscribing and unsubscribing to this road without success. I have no incompatibilities because the green ones work. Please help, this has never happened to with anything
sebnichols  [author] 12 Jun, 2020 @ 8:27am
@jeremy.thunder no problem :)
jeremy.thunder 12 Jun, 2020 @ 7:51am
@sebnichols thanks! and thanks so much for the amazing asset! i just meant for the community at large, if anybody had observed any specific behaviors to avoid, etc. didn't mean to be a headache steam commenter for you
sebnichols  [author] 11 Jun, 2020 @ 1:31pm
@jeremy.thunder read the description
jeremy.thunder 11 Jun, 2020 @ 12:03pm
is there any useful trick to keeping these from sinking into the ground? I find it happens a lot when they run parallel and too close to another network - anything else anyone has observed?
sergey831121 11 May, 2020 @ 1:52pm
Seriously?
sebnichols  [author] 10 May, 2020 @ 3:17pm
@sergey831121 There's nothing wrong with it
sergey831121 10 May, 2020 @ 3:10pm
Fix this, pls
sebnichols  [author] 3 Feb, 2020 @ 6:32am
@Pentasis There are no decals in this pack
Pentasis 3 Feb, 2020 @ 4:34am
The decals in this pack are green, not red.
sebnichols  [author] 25 Jan, 2020 @ 6:37am
@APC I'm afraid there's not much that can be done about that. Try placing the bike paths before the roads or placing them in a different location and dragging them over. It's a game issue and not one I can fix.
APC 24 Jan, 2020 @ 3:11pm
The asset is great, but I have a problem. The path is sinking into the ground every time I load my city, even if i redrew it the last time. :(

Chris 6 Nov, 2019 @ 11:35am
@sebnichols Thank you very much for the great bike path! Could you also send me a non terrain conforming version, or teach me how this could be achieved? I tried messing around in the road editor and had no luck changing it myself. :(
sebnichols  [author] 30 Oct, 2019 @ 3:00am
@gwen.guegan As is the case with any network, you should not unsubscribe until you have removed every instance of the network, otherwise it will break your save.
GwenGuegan 29 Oct, 2019 @ 4:07pm
@sebnichols it causes some of the roads in my save to disappear and the game to crash if you zoom in on the affected area. It's very strange. Now I'm trying to remove the mod from my save but if I unsub it removes ALL roads from my city and replaces them with the blue void. :(
sebnichols  [author] 29 Oct, 2019 @ 3:54pm
@gwen.guegan It doesn't, I tested it.
GwenGuegan 29 Oct, 2019 @ 3:20pm
These cause constant crashes in my save. I think it conflicts with Network Extensions 2 or something.
sebnichols  [author] 15 Oct, 2019 @ 3:04am
@zimmier That's how any network works... If you stretch the segment the textures will also stretch. Supports aren't "automatically added in" because they only appear on nodes.
Wouter10123 4 Oct, 2019 @ 7:19am
@sebnichols Thank you! I'll do that.
sebnichols  [author] 29 Sep, 2019 @ 9:32am
@Wouter10123 Don't directly connect them, if you place the end of the 1 way path close to a "node" on the 2 way path the cims should still be able to use it.
Wouter10123 29 Sep, 2019 @ 7:49am
These paths are amazing! The only problem I'm encountering is that when I make a one-way path intersect a two-way path, the junction node becomes too big. Is there a workaround for that? I'm currently trying to cover it up with ploppable grass.
itsKAZU0 25 Aug, 2019 @ 10:17am
@sebnichols Nice network sistem you come up with! Could you release the Non Terrain Corforming version? I would need it as well.
hitzu 10 Aug, 2019 @ 10:18am
@sebnichols as you wish :) Do whatever is more convenient for you. I will be glad so much anyway!
sebnichols  [author] 10 Aug, 2019 @ 4:48am
@Amonita because you're the only one that's requested it
hitzu 9 Aug, 2019 @ 3:58pm
@sebnichols oh that would be great! Why don't just upload it in the workshop then?
sebnichols  [author] 9 Aug, 2019 @ 3:07pm
@Amonita I guess I could send you a version where the network is not terrain conforming, so you can raise it however you like?
hitzu 9 Aug, 2019 @ 2:32pm
@sebnichols, sure. This area is WIP and quite heavy on different networks that collide with each other. I'll probably switch to the "bridge" version if no other solution will be found. I love solid lines though.

sebnichols  [author] 9 Aug, 2019 @ 12:14pm
@Amonita Could you provide a screenshot?
hitzu 8 Aug, 2019 @ 11:12am
Ah, then okay :)
I have another problem - sometimes when I place ground paths close to roads they sink beneath the road and won't get back no matter what. I can raise them with movie, add more nodes, but no success. It's just a visual glitch but it makes things very ugly. Could you maybe add matching decals for both solid and striped paths (and maybe smooth inner corners) ? They could be useful for traffic lights controlled intersections as well. And thank you for you work again! If you want I'll post my screenshots when they get ready.
sebnichols  [author] 8 Aug, 2019 @ 8:37am
@Amonita This occurs because I enabled a property called "direct connect". This property ensures that the transition between the "ground" and "bridge" elevations are smooth and produce a ramp as shown in some of the crossing images. Unfortunately this also means that transitions between one way and two way networks will look strange. To avoid this you could avoid connecting the two types of network but instead place the nodes close together and the cims should still be able to use the bike paths.
hitzu 7 Aug, 2019 @ 10:18am
@sebnichols by connections I meant this https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1827923087
