Mod 100% works even in latest versions, the workshop version just has three descriptor files that cause the mod to not be registered properly, even if you only change just the one.

I suggest downloading MANUALLY, & then alter the two descriptor files, both inside the ZIP & the download as suggested by the creator/dev.

Personally, I achieved a proper start by doing away with the ZIP entirely and placing the mod inside the folder labeled similarly, and then proceeded to edit BOTH descriptors as seen below.

Hmmm, I dunno how to make this compatible with the latest release of Elder Kings. I changed the depedencies but it isn't working. Anyone else having an issue?

@Pelinal Hay man not sure if this mod has been abandoned or not but do you ever plan to update it to be compatible with the current version of Elder Kings because I love this mod but there is a lot of things that are broken in it now because its so outdated

playing with this mod keeps giving me a death even at the very start of the game no matter what I do. If i play without it I dont get any events like that.

The Falmer race have the same lifespans as humans. Aren't they supposed to have a more elvish lifespan?

so the problem most will be having with the new version stems form one common issue, that is the mod was build for svn EK but in SVN the EK dev team changed the spelling of the auriel religion in the files so the mod is trying to use the new spelling but NO references of it exist in the old EK version so to get it working you need to change the spelling in your copy of the falmer mod files to match your EK version. By this i mean EVERY reference of Auriel meaning religion characters history titles all of it needs to change to match the old spelling otherwise no characters will hold those titles, and no gelebor/vurthyr will spawn in thus making the mod unplayable

hey ik a lot of people have mentioned similar things but I find the steam comments hard to dig through, I have the SVN and i've tried both the manual and steam installation but the mod just doesn't seem to work for me, no snow elves show up and I've started at the earliest start date. Am I doing something wrong?

The Touching the Sky mod just doesn't work. I've tried the manual download with no other submods, and it just doesn't work. I even decided to experiment by trying to make a custom Falmer character and the ethnicity graphic doesn't appear correctly, the character will just look like a vanilla European. So I'm not precisely sure what's wrong or what I'm doing wrong. I am using the SVN version of the mod, so it can't be that. If anyone can provide any help, that would be very welcome.

The mod doesn't work for me, no matter what i tried everyone who follows the Auri-El faith is non playable, not only the falmer but the entire Summerset Isles are now unplayable. One comment suggested to change auriel into auri-el in the religions file but i tried that and it didn't work either. Can someone suggest anything?

@snottytishu I've found out what's causing the lack of a religion wherever auriel is meant to be, the religion files list the faith as "auriel", but all the provinces in EK are tagged with "auri-el" instead, meaning they're linked to something that doesn't exist. All you have to do is quickly change that one line in the religions txt file and everything is back to normal

Amazing mod, great job. You should make a mod for Ashlanders next if you are so inclined, it's a sorely underdeveloped part of the map in need of an amazing mod of this calibre.

I have SVN downloaded correctly yet when I try to play this mod it simply does not work, No Gelebor, events or anything

I even uninstalled all my other sub mods running only elderkings dev and touching the sky but it still doesn't work

Hmm... thats very concerning. That would infer that there is a syntax error in the mod, which is a pretty basic error which if its been there the whole time would have prevented it from ever working. Which cant be true. I dont think ive edited that part of the mod in a long time but when i get some time ill look over it.

Alright so using the manual download I could play which was great!

Not so great is that after finally getting everything I needed together to initiate the "Restore the Falmer" decision the game doesn't actually activate the event for it. I even tried using the console to just activate the even directly typing 'event falmer.85' and the game tells me that event ID# 14300085 doesn't exist. I'm not sure what went wrong, but as it stands it is currently impossible to actually restore the falmer.

As for the decision to restore Falmereth, I'll have to look into it. It shouldn't cause any problems assuming there isn't a unique title for Falmereth. But if so it should be an easy fix

Everyone having issues with the mod appearing in-game, i would recommend using the manual download. An updated link has been put above for those having trouble. I hope that works!

I have the same issue Gaius Marius Sapientem has where when I activate the mod it doesn't seem to do anything. The Chantry of Auri-El doesn't show up on the map at all.

Nice to have an update. Base mod now has the decision to restore Falmereth and get a new bloodline. Does this work with the mod?

And as for the correct path, you are given books, the descriptions provide hints to the order.

I have now fixed the bug with Auri-El religion and a few minor tweaks for events among other things. Should work fine with latest SVN now :)

thanks! does anyone know the correct path of pressure plates in the trinimac trial, I might just be missing something easy but I can't figure it out.
