Decent map, not too hard but gives you something to do, especially for the final arrangement. The title is a promise. No it's a threat ^^
Too bad the softlocks didn't get fixed, especially the obvious one with the basement lift.

I agree with Andy T about the getting trapped problem

Easy run, here the steps:

1. Get Reflective out by way of Square and X fizzlers, it needed to be done on X with Portal's equivalent of Tactical Advance so you retain handle of laser.
2. Go to pedestal, open the trap door.
3. Take Cube upstairs and position it to hit Exit trigger.
4. Go drop down, lase the basement trigger to come back up.
5. Regoto the basement by portals already there.
6. Reposition the basement portal to basement shooting up. Now a beeline to Exit.

Problem is basement, if you did not pay attention to the hole and no laser it traps you, it happened to me, and the floor to be shot is flanked by light strips so it's hard to stick portal to like BEE maps.

I liked it. Kind of complicated and quite easy too
Petutski 9 Mar, 2020 @ 11:15am
Ok map. Very annoying instead of logical. IMHO
Teo 28 Apr, 2019 @ 6:58pm
huh, didn't use the second elevator. fun puzzle
Spider_Dawg 10 Apr, 2019 @ 3:09pm
Fun, even though it took me 99999....99...99999...999999 tries to get the cube placed properly.
Dark Rozen 24 Oct, 2018 @ 10:47am
good map. although not much of a puzzel
Demon Arisen  [author] 18 Jan, 2018 @ 12:44pm
@Tronsnake Thanks! I'd love to fix it, but this test is 5 years old now, and I no longer have the file, so I can't fix it. Sorry!
Demon Arisen  [author] 7 May, 2017 @ 6:23am
@Warmonger Thanks for playing - I guarantee you'd enjoy my more recent tests a lot more, this one is from 5 years ago :P
Warmonger 7 May, 2017 @ 6:10am
Cool ideas, but I really got stuck in the bottom chamber multiple times and had to restart :(
qrioso 5 Apr, 2017 @ 12:33am
Another good one. A bit difficult to find the right position for the cube over the glass for the final step. Thanks

Yet another briliiant puzzle + glad I took your advise i.e. "try Indirect first", that definitely helped.
jandlml 17 Sep, 2016 @ 8:04pm
precision is right. took a bit of back and forth to get that cube placed right. nice map!
SA_Zodia 6 May, 2016 @ 6:40am
Fun
Stealth_Ranger 23 Mar, 2016 @ 4:08am
This is a very decent test, I found one lift useless but didn't detract from my experience!
zigzagtenniscoe 8 Jan, 2016 @ 4:55pm
With this method I had to replace my portal over and over again because the laser wouldn't line up but was close. This was because I didn't place the cube at the front edge of the block boundary . However I'm just saying that this is a great method because it proves where it should be. Great map as always. :)
zigzagtenniscoe 8 Jan, 2016 @ 4:52pm
I have almost a surefire way of positioning the cube correctly:

If you'll notice, when you go up into the top glass room, the portal surface that the laser will later travel through via portal is two blocks out from it's wall. It's wall is lined up with most of your wall (talking about the side with the catcher, in the glass room). You can count on the side wall of the glass room, two blocks. Place your cube at the front edge of the block boundary (use the line that seperates the first and second blocks as a guide). This way the cube is above the white area underneath, and I've proven it. We place the cube at an edge because the laser will come it at the bottom half of the portal, so all you have to do is place your portal correctly. Go into this test and try it yourself to see what I mean.

The idea behind your previous "Indirect" did help me solve the test. I did have to look at toncica's playthrough of "Indirect" because I forgot the solution because at that point when I did that map, I burned out. Didn't spoil myself solving this map though! Did it within 10 minutes or felt like 10 minutes.

The symbol usage irks me but that was before you knew of my antline guide. It didn't go overboard like amateur maps do.

This was great!
jgaultney 27 Oct, 2014 @ 2:50pm
Quite a few of these early maps are real gems. Thumbs up!!
Chelliste 30 Sep, 2014 @ 8:57am
I solved it in my head about 15 minutes before I was able to leave. That is, positioning the cube PRECISELY by guesstimating is the real challenge, when you have to take the lifts up and down many times in the process. Kind of anti-climactic after you know the solution. The title of this one is no joke!
Demon Arisen  [author] 21 Jul, 2014 @ 9:19am
@quaternary @pa1ntmaster Thanks for the feedback guys - the cube does take some positioning, making this chamber relya little too much on execution for my liking... Oh well, this was one of my earlier ones...
Thanks for telling me about those trapping issues... I'll fix them if I get around to it.... :)
quat 6 Jul, 2014 @ 11:37am
Up down up down up down~

Took me 5 tries to line up the box because I am terrible at video games. Other than that, nice chamber :)
The Sojourner 9 Jun, 2014 @ 11:25pm
Nice work. The only problem I can see is that there are two places where the player can get trapped: 1) at the low lift, and 2) at the end of the platform with the button on it. For more information, please consult this guide .

@Skittles Yay, thanks, I'll be doing a hammer map in the next few days, I'll try and make it bug free! :) I'm new to hammer though, so dont expect amazing visuals.... It will have secrets, surprises, and two endings though....

I've played suction and Toothless's version of pure logic, and I loved them both C: You're still on my subscribed authors list.
Demon Arisen  [author] 15 Sep, 2013 @ 4:09am
@Skittles. There are a few exploits in some of my chambers which I haven't fixed yet... I'm sorry if you're having a bad experience with them, I'll fix them when I get a chance. This one was made in a hurry as well, which I'm sorry about... Try some of my others and see if they're any better (transfer, suction, indirect, pure logic)
多崎つくる 15 Sep, 2013 @ 3:19am
Not sure if I solved this one as intended either. Seriously, I just can't tell if I'm finding exploits or if I'm solving it correctly..If someone posted a video or explained in words what the solution is, I'd be able to say whether I found an exploit or not.
Demon Arisen  [author] 14 Sep, 2013 @ 12:09am
@Phrendon @h99pilot. Thanks, glad you're enjoying my chambers. Don't forget to follow me on the workshop for more to come! :)
h99pilot 13 Sep, 2013 @ 7:47pm
5 / 9 maps so far and all have been fun. On to the rest.
Phrendon 12 Sep, 2013 @ 11:42am
I completed it first time. Precision is a good title. Be precise in your aiming.
Hazellius 24 Aug, 2013 @ 1:01pm
Great chamber just like the last few chambers! I played indirect and found that one to be a tad bit easier, but that probably is because I immediately saw what to do.
Demon Arisen  [author] 24 Aug, 2013 @ 8:14am
@toncica. Thanks, playing and creating chambers are often very different skills. :)
toncica 24 Aug, 2013 @ 7:16am
Don't you put words into my mouth. ;)
I said I found it to be easier, not worse. This is still an excellent puzzle, but you saying it is more difficult than Indirect may be wrong. It's common that an author has problems judging the difficulty of his maps accurately.
Demon Arisen  [author] 24 Aug, 2013 @ 7:04am
@toncica Thanks for playing, you found a slightly unintended solution (exactly right just missed out a step). I agree it isn't my best chamber, but I thought it was worth uploading.
toncica 24 Aug, 2013 @ 6:55am
Interestingly I found this to be easier than Indirect. After looking at the connections you can clearly see where to start and how to break down the chamber into single steps, not having to take in all variables at once.
