@chazlip You have no idea how much you have just made my day! I'm so glad that you have enjoyed it. I am a bit out of the mod scene, but I *think* that the files will work just fine if you move them into your SSE folder. If I find the time I will port it and message you!
chazlip 3 Apr @ 6:24pm
@levin Hello Sir, I have always loved this mod since I downloaded it years ago. I have not been able to find its equal for SSE. Even if you never move it over I just want you to know your Mod has been a favorite of mine in every play through.
TheFir3Crack3r 9 May, 2023 @ 5:03pm
Apologies but the texture looks horrible when enchanting a Dragonbone Sword.
Brenna 16 Jan, 2020 @ 7:01am
@JakeDuck Awesome! I'm glad to hear it made you so happy. I'm sure more people will see it and want to download it once you port it and upload it to the Nexus. ^^ I'll be keeping an eye out for the upload. Thanks so much again.
Levin  [author] 16 Jan, 2020 @ 5:57am
@Mycah I can absolutely do that! I have an old account there where I can upload it. It means so much to me that you took the time to comment on a mod that I made so many years ago, I thought it had been fully abandoned. I will look into updating all of them to SSE in both Steam and Nexus. On Nexus my username is JakeDuck321.
Brenna 16 Jan, 2020 @ 4:53am
@JakeDuck Oh wow, that is so kind of you! Thank you so much! I've been looking for sun enchantments but none of them look nowhere near as beautiful as this. I hope it won't be too complicated to do. Will you upload it to Nexusmods? :D
Levin  [author] 16 Jan, 2020 @ 3:12am
@Mycah I am downloading Skyrim and the Creation Kit so that I can port this mod to SSE. You completely made my day with your comment, I'm going to try to reconstruct this mod from scratch and upload an SSE edition. I was only 15 when I made the mod (I am nearly 22 now) so the original files are long gone. I will try to reverse engineer it to make it function on the latest version of Skyrim.
Brenna 13 Jan, 2020 @ 8:04am
I know it's been a long time but do you think you can port this to SE when/if you have time?
I'm trying to find mods to fit with my light magic spellsword character but I play SE so this won't work :( It looks absolutely gorgeous.

You have to make the Steel Dagger of Brilliance yourself to get the enchantment. It's under the Steel catagory and requires some Glow Dust. Merchants don't sell the blade.

This doesn't work for me. I install it but no weapons show up in the inventory of weapons vendors. Why are they not showing up for me? The same thing happens with the nexusmods version.
Bastion Aralus 20 Nov, 2017 @ 3:11am
excuse me, can you link it to the destruction school? i got a lv100 dest ansd i only get a few charges when i use your sun element.
GrimJay 13 Feb, 2017 @ 1:59pm
Great mod, only issue I really have is one that is of little importance, the glow of the enchant doesnt seem to flash and glow. Any idea for a fix? If not no issue.
Janus 3 Feb, 2017 @ 7:10pm
Pleaseee! Make it happen!!
Janus 22 Jan, 2017 @ 12:34pm
This mod is great, I have installed for a long time. Now that I have SSE, I have restrained to install other sun enchantment mods because this is all I wanted. Is this mod planned to go SSE? Thanks author for this awesome mod
Levin  [author] 15 Jan, 2017 @ 10:14pm
Thank you, friend! Means the world.
RustedCutlass717 14 Jan, 2017 @ 8:32pm
I've been subbed since 2013, and I still LOVE this enchantment! Thanks for so many year of enjoyment!

this is perfect for the ohcarpalypse mod which adds a ton of enemies that randomly spawn (with great frequency) the greast offender of these enemies is the risen dead which often spawns in the 50s to 70s in body count
Levin  [author] 5 Jun, 2016 @ 8:54pm
If the issue still persists after deactivating the mod, the problem is elsewhere without a doubt. I suggest disabling any recently downloaded or updated mods.
shadypaladin 4 Jun, 2016 @ 7:18am
Sorry if this is being a bother but I love the mod, the weapons look beautiful and I much prefer this to using Dawnbreaker as my vampire killing weapon. However I have noticed that as I use the weapon my character has started to glow in a very strange way. I am now puttin off an aura of golden light and it is very distracting for most of the game's third person view, and it also obstructs slightly with the first person view when looking down. I was just hoping to check and see if I was the only one having this issue. I have tried deactivating the mod but it doesn't go away, normally I would deduce that this problem is due to another mod, but it has only cropped up since I began using your very nice mod. To whoever is reading this, thanks a lot for putting up with my complaining have a wonderful day!
Night Wolf 21 May, 2016 @ 12:44pm
it looks beautiful thank you for the mod
Levin  [author] 1 Apr, 2016 @ 10:27am
No, it does not.
ok 31 Mar, 2016 @ 7:31pm
question does upgrading ur fire damage on destruction help do extra sun damage?
RustedCutlass717 18 Jan, 2016 @ 12:44pm
Your welcome! Keep up the good work, my friend!
Levin  [author] 18 Jan, 2016 @ 12:18am
@RustedCutlass717 This comment made my night. Thank you!
RustedCutlass717 17 Jan, 2016 @ 7:52pm
Gods, I've had this mod for YEARS.... And I still freakin' LOVE IT! The enchantment is gorgeous and is extraordinarily useful! Not to mention it looks BEAUTIFUL on the crystal Sun Sword! Thanks, my friend, for years of enjoyment!
Werde Spinner 28 Nov, 2015 @ 8:45am
This is now my favorite enchantment. Thank you!
Zauberin Stardreamer 27 May, 2015 @ 2:10pm
@JakeDuck Well, unfortunately I cannot narrow down the mod causing the issue right now, since my hard drive bit the dust earlier :-/
Levin  [author] 26 May, 2015 @ 10:14pm
@Zauber Paracelsus That is most likely a conflict with another mod, I believe there is one out there that makes enchanted weapons glow. Look through your installed mods and check if this is the case.
Zauberin Stardreamer 26 May, 2015 @ 8:50am
I put this enchantment on a weapon of mine, and for some reason that weapon sheds bright light whenever I have it equipped. While that can be convenient, it actually makes the weapon less useful when you sneak around a lot like I do.
lyradronso 8 May, 2015 @ 5:04pm
according to the mod loader, I have the mod installed, but according to the game, it doesn't exist. what am I doing wrong here?
Magnachist 23 Apr, 2015 @ 4:42pm
I hope you make a evil variant. That would be rad.
Levin  [author] 23 Apr, 2015 @ 3:02pm
@Kingdomkeepers69 Your comment absolutely made my day. Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it!
Magnachist 20 Apr, 2015 @ 5:38pm
Ive had this mod for a long time, BUT. I never did tell you about how much I appreciate it. the glow art path, everything about it is beautiful. I make sure every important NPC has a weapon that does this. Mods like the FABLE Legenary weapons in Skyrim look JAW DROPPING MAJESTIC with this enchant. Just want to say, thank you. its amazing.
Stirling 2 Mar, 2015 @ 10:00am
It fails to download every time, it says it can't download the info or summin'.
ac1992 24 Jan, 2015 @ 8:26pm
What is the enchantment ID?
ClockwrkHawk 7 Aug, 2014 @ 9:12am
+I have Steel Smithing.
ClockwrkHawk 7 Aug, 2014 @ 9:12am
I cannot craft the dagger and i have not seen the enchantment on any loot...Yes,the mod is activated,i have Dawnguard,Etc. Is it compatible with SkyRe and LoreCraft? The problem may be LoreCraft and its "crafting system" but whenever i try to uninstall that mod,my game crashes.Does the mod have to be in a specific spot in the load order?
Woodhouse 27 Jul, 2014 @ 6:06pm
Can you put this enchantment on Dawnbreaker?
Legionary Naevius 4 Jul, 2014 @ 6:26pm
Basically I want this enchantment to have unlimited uses
Legionary Naevius 4 Jul, 2014 @ 5:28pm
Any chance a compatability for this? http://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=10593&searchtext=zzz it seems both of them need to be last in mod order, and i favor unlimeted charges rather than a cool effect.
Levin  [author] 6 May, 2014 @ 6:23pm
Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep that in mind when I get back to modding! I've neer used keywords much, I'll try to learn them.
Gordo "Postal" Freedude 5 May, 2014 @ 1:08pm
Praise the Sun! Just what one needs when wishing to smite the undead. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for basking us in such glorious incandescense.

I made a few personal tweaks to it though, mostly in that I made sure each Sun damage effect was set to use Restoration as magic skill and had the 'MagicFire' or whatnot as keyword. Also reduced the base damage a little so it is less effective towards the living than regular Fire damage.

The Restoration and Keyword parts mostly let's the sun damage scale with certain perks to my knowledge, such as +Fire Damage in destruction or the sort IIRC. Perhaps something to consider if you ever decide to try and improve this already wonderful mod!
Levin  [author] 17 Mar, 2014 @ 9:21pm
Do you have Dawnguard?
Nox Invictus 17 Mar, 2014 @ 7:05pm
this mod crashs my game every time i load it up with it activited
Lord Drakkon Codie 15 Mar, 2014 @ 3:00pm
Do you think you could make this mod enchantment have an animated look to it? Like the kind of light effect that the Dawnbreaker has showing from the orb thing just under the blade only, with your mod, covering the length of the newly enchanted sword/greatsword/dagger 's blade?
Psycho Republic 14 Mar, 2014 @ 5:13pm
Very cool- just got to find the black soul gem to power up a sword with.
Levin  [author] 14 Mar, 2014 @ 2:37pm
It should fade out a bit. I captured all of the screenshots when it was at its brightest.
Psycho Republic 14 Mar, 2014 @ 7:45am
This looks badass, and I plan on using it. My only problem is the light, does it fade when you're using the weapon or do the weapons stay spangly?
RustedCutlass717 2 Mar, 2014 @ 5:38pm
Your very welcome! Keep up the great work!!!
Levin  [author] 2 Mar, 2014 @ 5:36pm
Thank you! That means a lot to me.
