The map looks great, but I don't like the angled lasers through portals .

516883.55 GHz is a shade of yellow, but what's so special about it? The only Google hits for this number are references to this Portal 2 test.

Blindrun
Really good take on the original, both aesthetically and logically. Took me almost an hour to solve even having solved C&V many times (though that one took me a “minute” the first time). Like the changes to the core mechanics, too.

Difficulty: 7.25/10
Design: 10/10
Enjoyed: 8.5/10

Just checked, you can get out of bounds via the angled panel as well. Oops.
Mâché 9 Oct, 2023 @ 11:14am
Incredibly late to the party on this one, but you can use the lightbridge to climb over the entrance fizzler and get out of bounds, see nodraw, etc, as well as trap yourself (intentionally, but still) behind the test chamber sign.

Otherwise, very nicely done as usual. :3

great map!

if this is easy, i dont want to know what hard is... omegabrain level. my congratulations to the author

Pre-placing laser cubes is annoying.
StackSmasher789 21 Feb, 2022 @ 3:37am
Awesome puzzle. Love the map. I feel like the laser placements are a bit precise. Could extend the small corridor in front of smaller emancipation grill for a more comfortable move around

Some beautiful mapping here, I really like the opened out multi level design and all the attention to detail. It's pretty tight too in terms of accidental solutions, skips etc.

Also it's just a really satisfying puzzle, thanks :D

A smart puzzle with a great design.
Aneonen 14 May, 2021 @ 11:39pm
Nice puzzle! I enjoyed the cube pre-placements and the cube-portal pivot
The Art Therapy theme is one of my favorites, and I particularly like the unfinished-above-Old-Aperture look.
Hikari 19 Apr, 2021 @ 8:31pm
Ooh, very clever solution! I like this one :)
Gabriel Bacon 11 Mar, 2021 @ 1:47pm
Fantastic map! I could not stop marveling at the size and beauty of it all. Top notch hammer work. I managed to get behind the scenes with a diagonal bridge. I couldn't find a way back, but I may just be blind. The puzzle was nice and satisfying - actually took me a little while. Well done! Thanks for mapping.

My blind run

That was challenging for me :D Finaly did it.

Thanks for making it

Really nice chamber :)

Excellent test! I'm not sure what 516883.55 GHz is about except that it's an inexplicably precise number that falls within the band defined as yellow light.

Anyway, the way I finally managed to solve this was to start by mastering Cyan and Vermillion [sic] (Vermilion is mispelled), then solve Magenta, and then come back to this.
SunnyOst 2 Nov, 2020 @ 5:18am
Beautiful map, great puzzle! I solved it without angling the cube behnd the fizzler like some mentioned, so maybe that's why I felt better about it. Also not sure if it's just on my side, but one of the yellow models isn't there: https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2275244916 (is this what the yellow ink cartridge is about? :D)

This was a gorgeous map, and super fun to figure out!
dr777099 11 May, 2020 @ 1:18am
Sweet chamber. Reminds me of pouring over a chess move so long you forget why you ruled out the obvious option... make it... then lose. And only then see the actual solution. And none of that "sharp angles thru portals" misdirection. Simple and Easy. ;)
j0lizzy 7 May, 2020 @ 7:06pm
Now I know where to look for interesting maps! Thanks!

I did a speedrun of your map @24:30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5ogaLFFSnQ

The test was great and I loved the aesthetic of the map. The giant fan slowly casting a shadow over the chamber was a nice touch.

Excellent logical map. Thanks!

Totally enjoyed the puzzle and the out of bounds exploration (the companion cube was too tempting.) Its beautiful work, thanks:)

It is cool but for me it was quite difficult. I would change description from easy to at least medium.:steamhappy:
zeo1337 18 Jan, 2020 @ 8:05pm
Some how it autosaved when I walked in front of the turrets..... thankfully I had just quicksaved a few seconds prior
lfairban 28 Dec, 2019 @ 6:41pm
Wow. Sometimes I feel I couldn't pour piss out of a boot with instructions printed under the heal. Nice map.
Slyceth 15 Dec, 2019 @ 7:41am
Great map! I'm glad to come back to portal and be unblocked by people and collab again :D (I never did anything wrong except submit maps and accidentally deleting a message)
kwinten 24 Nov, 2019 @ 6:47am
The space where you have to manipulate the cube is super small and makes the execution painful to my taste in addition with the short timer..
I would say that the puzzle is more medium than easy
Otherwise, visuals are excellents, thanks for making !
quatrus 9 Nov, 2019 @ 7:38am
Hardest part was getting past the cube behind the fizzler without disrupting the aim - a bit more room would have been nice. Thanks for creating.
nock 28 Oct, 2019 @ 3:41am
I probably spent more time exploring the map than solving the puzzle. I was trying to to be so critical since you said you only spent a week on it, but I was really hoping to find some EE content when I realized you could go OOB. Good work tho Wii, thanks for making

Based on the comments, I solved it unintended : we can shoot the "fizzler-protected-surface" from the area below the laser Which felt unintended because of the shooting angle. Very nice hammer work !
Nobody No-One 19 Oct, 2019 @ 4:37pm
Found the intended solution.. Not the biggest fan of angled lasers through portals , but the Hammer work is amazing.
Joric 11 Oct, 2019 @ 4:47am
Ah, got it. It's rather easy, really. Funny. https://i.imgur.com/XYfKMQe.jpg
Joric 11 Oct, 2019 @ 4:42am
@henpitts, and you got there... how?
henpitts 11 Oct, 2019 @ 4:33am
You need to put a block above the angled platform. I got into an area I thought was part of the game.
Joric 10 Oct, 2019 @ 8:42am
@Mikeastro, don't worry, IQ fluctuates, eat more salmon, avocado and nuts. Good map!
Dark Rozen 5 Oct, 2019 @ 2:23pm
What sort of style is this?
Yavie 4 Oct, 2019 @ 9:37pm
Gorgeous, gorgeous map! Took me a while to get that last bit figured out. Loves me some laser puzzles (:

Hello from Brazil, this level is a great puzzle, but I pass !!!
Great desing job !

Neat !

The fact that you made this map in a single week is absolutely stunning - really impressive job, Wii2! It'd still be amazing hammer work even if you hadn't made it in a week, but the fact that you did makes it even more laudable. Well done on the puzzle too - it took me some thought even though it's based on one of my own designs :P

Speaking from a pure puzzle perspective, I prefer the slightly cleaner solution of Hanky's version, but what you've done here - especially with the visuals - is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Thumbs up and faved! :)
Mikeastro 1 Oct, 2019 @ 10:52am
Well, couldn't solve this one. I had the beginning and the end worked out but it continued to elude me how to connect them. Turns out, it was angling a laser through a portal. It's probably just me being a purist, but I just hate doing that, so I never try it. It always feels unintended to me, and it makes me a little sad that such a fantastically gorgeous hammer work requires it for its solution. Oh, and you can easily get out of bounds using the light bridge and the angled panel :p Thumbs up for the excellent hammer work

@bullfrog Yep, correct solution. Unintended solution patched.
bullfrog 1 Oct, 2019 @ 2:33am
...and just to check, is this your intended solution ?
