No worries
udkudk 9 Aug, 2021 @ 11:44am
It works in 2.03
Philipp 24 Feb, 2021 @ 12:32pm
So it still works with the 2.0?

is the marriage button gone for republics like rome? (general question, not just for dev) Am I stupid or is it not possible to arrange marriages anymore in 2.0

Bumped the version, but won't be able to play Marius for a few weeks myself. Please report issues if any.

2.0 version in the works? It's very helpful.

Some my mods still work... but no mods work for new games. Just disable all mods, create a new game then load game or resume game with mods enabled.

has any1 tested this with 1.5?

This seemed to really improve things for my playthroughs. I was running out of family members to keep up with titles. Thanks for this +1

@Paulyo
Note that the event is on a 1-year trigger. I.e. it may take several years for everybody to get spouses. I should probably add this to description.

Used in a middle of a campaign. Doesnt seem to work

@Puliandro
It disables achievements afaik.
Puliandro 20 May, 2020 @ 8:01am
Is it Ironman compatible? Thanky you!

@B. Nikephoras
It doesn't look like the game supports polygamy. I don't see configuration for number of spouses in defines, and furthermore the word "polygam" is not even used in game files.

A minor character won't get married. If they do, they will basically eat into court space with their kids. And if those kids are girls, nobody will ever marry them and they will just hang there occupying precious space reserved for major families. Other than that, as long as they have an office and the age is over 33, they should be married relatively quickly.

@Lewa That is not the case in any of my tests across multiple saves. Family and char pages need to be refreshed to display generated characters, if you debug with an open char/family page. Note that I disabled autogeneration for rulers and primary heirs. Also note that a character won't be married if he already is married. Maybe some different limit came into play? Off top of my head, perhaps court size? Thanks for the advice on description!

Since you've looked into marriage modding, do you think it would be possible to add polygamy for eastern rulers? I've added some flavor events for the diadochi related to marriage but am required to initiate divorces that didn't historically happen.

I have a question, if I have single men in government, will they marry minor characters? For example, I want the blood of the Argead to continue, as it is normal for them to appear in my game, including those of Lagids and others. It is a sad end that occurs frequently in my matches, and when I get one, the guy is single to death, even with income, government positions and prominence. :roman_temple:

The event more_marriages.2 (and its female counterpart .3) will fail to create a wife for members of the player's ruling family. I used the console to test this and found that even with all trigger conditions met for a character in my ruler's family, no spouse was generated. I guess there must be some hardcoded block to having the player family gain characters through events? This can be fixed by removing the line "family = root.family" from the create_character block. Then the event will still generate spouses, but the spouses will be minor characters. I confirmed that with the console too.

Oh, and you did this without changing any existing vanilla files! That means this should be compatible with any other mod, which is great. Maybe add that to your description.

@Paul
I haven't played with equality at all yet, so I honestly just hoped that "marry_character" would work properly depending on who the character it's invoked on is. :) Is it not the case for women under equality? I'll be able to take a closer look on weekend.
primislas  [author] 5 May, 2020 @ 3:03pm
A minor update: minor characters no longer marry (see patch notes or description for detailed reasons), extra family daughters are now always introduced to court at the age of 18, patched localization.
Paul 5 May, 2020 @ 7:05am
could you please add matrilineal marriges so the women wont end their own families when marrying? Since they now will marry more if you play with equality.

@itsjustmyshadow sad but true, this problem should have been adressed in a hotfix by paradox, damn
ItsJustMyShadow 4 May, 2020 @ 4:05am
The fact that we need a mod like this is a reason why Imperator is doomed.
