Made an updated version of this one and also made it a separate one so it will not overwrite the default one and made it so you need warfare legacy 5 perk unlocked before you can get them https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2986838585

Really wish this great mod would be updated

@Cleric - The meaning of this mod is lost. Then it's easier to play for the Scandinavians, Varangian veterans will easily replace the guards from this mod. *spread his hands*

@sociopath - On the bright side House Guard is broken and the ai will only hire 1/5 stacks. So think of it as a normal retinue someone that controls at least one county would command.

The weird thing about that is I was looking for a bug report as I'm sure this has been going on since launch and not one report, a similar problem early on was reported where players could only hire one stack, I'm guessing when they fixed that they neglected the AI.

If I wanted to change the name of these units in the files, what would I need to do?

I personally like the Other artwork better, But non the less, Thx for making options :)

Ok cool, just hope the AI wont abuse it like crazy lol. Looks great though. Makes you onder why Paradox went so cheap with no special artwork for it.

I just changed the artwork. And yes i bumped up the unit count in the regiment to 500 but it is still capped at 1 max regiment total.

O just looked only the artwork is different from the other version, love this artwork much better suits the period.

Couple questions, the default is 100 units max you can have so did you up it by 400 ?? Also what is the difference between this version and your other one because they both have the exact same description.

Ah nvm, it was the "Sane Warfare" mod that was overwriting it. I just edited Sane Warfare" directly.

You're right, the different naming convention doesn't even overwrite anything. It's literally perfectly compatible except within the "Sane Warfare" mod. For some reason the order doesn't matter and "Sane Warfare" still ends up "dominating" and overwriting it even if its after or before.

Yes, theoretically, it should overwrite the units only as that is the only file i edited, and not even the whole file, just a specific part and renamed it differently for better compatibility. My guess is that the Universal Legacies mod edits the files in such a way that it link to a whole different unit type instead of vanilla house guards which use the house_guard key.

Si I'm trying to match this with the "Universal Legacies" mods which makes all legacies more competitive. In theory, this should only overwrite the units and if this mod is placed below, would you know why it doesn't seem to work in practice??
