Ok I found out how to get itto work, maybe its one of the modes I have but vests now count as upgrades, not items, I can attach them to my armor just like a weapon mod :P

Oh right there in the description --- under compatibility .. so it *should* be fine .. might be something else not interacting correctly

So the Augmentations mod locks the Vest Slot behind having a Torso Augment ... I can't recall what the intended interaction with this mod was, but it's worth a start. You can easily change this in the Augmentations mods configs though, to remove the lock-behind-torso thing..

@RustyDios Using the augmentation mod yeah, does that clash with it?

Are you also using either Tesla's Armour Modules Mod or Musashi's Augmentations mods ?

I dunno if i did something wrong but I bought the Dress for Success GTS ingame but there is no Vest slot for any of my soliders.

Locked and loaded and Fire In The Hole work but that one does not work.

Am i doing something wrong? Do I need to upgrade my armor?

I do use [WOTC] Iridar's Vest and Plating Overhaul so I know its MEANT to hide the vest slot till I buy it but...well...its not there when I do buy Dress For Success.

@Baphomet112 If you or anyone else has figured this out, please let me know. I've only been playing the game for a couple of months and I don't really understand how configuring mods works, but I'm trying to configure mine so they're all really nice and cohesive. :) It'd be really nice if I could have the utility plating vests in this mod's vest slot.

Why should I get this and not Musashi, or Iridar's ( which I'm using, requires wotc vest slot)? I have your Proving Grounds mod and a few others (great). Not a modder so I'm a little lost on all this. I'm wondering if using all your utility mods mean I'll have (3) extra slots? About to finish my 5th campaign with mods ( yeah, addicting) and looking to try a new one. I like your mods so I just want to know what advantage or 'goal' you have in mind here,

any way i can add specific items to the vests like the lw2 utility plating mod same for your locked and loaded when i want to add magazines from limited reloads

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that error "error detected attempting load of package" is very misleading. It's not actually tied to the mod it states, or any mod for that matter.. if you were to remove this mod it will just randomly pick another.... and with no mods left to choose it will just crash on start with a blank error. No one has yet found a definitive reason.

Now the bad news: the only known fix for that error is a FULL wipe and complete reinstall of the game.. not a config clear or steam verify.. but full removal and reinstall, including all workshop files AND documents\config ... but some have had success keeping saved games

then a full fresh reinstall :( :( good luck getting back to a playable state :) :)

This mod adds a vest slot to non-robotic units. The mod you talk about adds a plating slot to robotic units... They do not do the same thing and they actually complement each other.

There is no conflict with Plating and Launcher slots.
You can add the vest slot to Sparks via configs. You can also disable it for any class you want.
