Alrighty mates, I finally got around to updating this to work with the latest version of Terraria
Raul 27 Aug, 2023 @ 7:29pm
Yeah, a 1.4.4 update would be absolutely fantastic!
Fistful Of Steel 12 Aug, 2023 @ 9:25am

will this be updated to tmodloader 1.4.4 ? ?

I was wondering if you had a tmod file? Since the ones on all the other platforms are outdated.

Couldn't fit everything in one comment, but if I disable this mod, then the spawn issue's in SubWorlds/The Stars above are fixed and the player spawns correctly in the center of the SubWorld and returns correctly to the original world's spawnpoint.

Hopefully this can be fixed, since I use this mod for multiplayer. :chigara2:

There's a bit of a compatibility issue with either The Stars Above or SubWorlds mod.

When you go to a SubWorld (In this case using the Stars Above mod) instead of spawning at the actual center or spawn point, you'll spawn at the edge of the world in midair falling.

Then when you choose to return to your original world, instead of spawning at base or at the spawn point, you'll spawn underground (Equivalent to where you were in the SubWorld I guess?)

It's very easy to replicate, just test those 2 mods alongside this one.

What sort of behavior are you witnessing? I've tested the functionality in both singleplayer and multiplayer using tModLoader 1.4 stable as of 05/07/2022

The latest tmodloader update broke this for stable.

There's a bug that I reported in the [Bugs] Discussion, please fix it because it feels like cheating
jose_x54 7 Dec, 2021 @ 4:59pm
It totally works fine, thank you so much!
walpar 7 Dec, 2021 @ 6:01am

oh nice, i can actually use the mod now
Garretonzo  [author] 7 Dec, 2021 @ 12:57am
Fixed the error posted below. Thanks for the screenshots.
I was using old Save/Load callbacks from before the 1.4 alpha updates.
Should be good now!

Unfortunately, the mod doesn't work at all.

I guess despite of being updated to the alpha version, it's still incompatible, it doesn't want to load and just pop up a game error while trying to use it
walpar 5 Oct, 2021 @ 4:57am
getting an error when launching the game with the mod https://ibb.co/Jvw2y7S

Glad it was possible to fix this bug in the first place, if Terraria was not moddable we'd be screwed. I still wonder how on Earth does a game dev came up with such ridiculous "feature" in the first place, though...
Garretonzo  [author] 6 Sep, 2021 @ 5:03pm
Personally my first impression of the game was that I encountered a huge bug when spawning in after logging out the first time in a cave. I actually thought I lost a ton of my progress and panicked. That first impression lasted long enough that I eventually decided to fix the issue myself. It is reassuring to see others feel the same way.

I bought terraria on journey's end. Still remember the pain of that stupid bug (yes, bug, not a feature) the devs refused to fix even in a final update. Still remember the frustration. Played a bit, but it still hurt. Now... Maybe now it's finally time to give this game a proper chance. Thank you, thank you sooooo much for fixing this game-breaking bug.
