Alright thanks for the (very) quick reply, I'll check this !

@slctd_chrctr
This mod should work fine for that version, I only changed the version number. The reason the giant mod isn't backwards compatible is because they added a race field to the morph changes.

Hey is there any chance to find the 12.5 version of this mod ? I'm trying revive an old save on Godherja total conversion (which hasn't been updated for 13. yet)

Achievements compatible?

@FrozenSnowFox Thanks for quick reply, I will try that right now <3

@Eziles Rameis
I tested it just now to be sure since I couldn't recall if I ever tested this. Using a new game I gave a ruler the 3 main traits and the albino trait. He was able to take the Strengthen the Bloodline decision without issue.

What you're experiencing is most likely a mod conflict. Some other mod is probably overwriting the changes from this mod causing it to revert back to a negative trait. Try shifting this mod further down in your load order so it overwrites any other mod messing with traits.
Eziles Rameis 25 Apr, 2023 @ 12:42am
when taking the "Strengthen the Bloodline" decision, Albino was considered a bad trait :(
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 3 Aug, 2022 @ 11:30pm
@PhazezGova
Good to hear you got it working now.
PhazezGova 3 Aug, 2022 @ 11:04pm
Great, if I change the loading order it works. Thank you :)
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 3 Aug, 2022 @ 3:22pm
@PhazezGova
That could be it depending on how its made. Try moving my mod to the bottom of your load order and it should overwrite anything else attempting to change the albino trait.
PhazezGova 3 Aug, 2022 @ 3:20pm
I guess this mod is "Advanced Trait Icons", I'm going to sleep now, I'll test it tomorrow evening.
PhazezGova 3 Aug, 2022 @ 3:17pm
That's right, I don't understand it either. Maybe it's another mod, I'll try to find the error :). But currently it doesn't work for me, for whatever reason.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 3 Aug, 2022 @ 2:50pm
@PhazezGova
After comparing the files the albino trait and giant trait have not received any changes from the recent patches. Also checking the launcher my mods are not shown as out of date with the version number they list.

There should be no reason the mod isn't working. Are you sure it wasn't disabled somehow?
PhazezGova 3 Aug, 2022 @ 2:37pm
It no longer works :-(
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 12 Mar, 2022 @ 2:38pm
@twitch.tv/lepaty
It shouldn't have any issues being added or removed mid game its a very minor change.
Astor Whiletrue 12 Mar, 2022 @ 10:33am
can it be added mid-game without issues ?

targaryen rp here i come

You've got a point but the question was asked so I put the original links there to be clear
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 16 Feb, 2022 @ 4:59pm
@Assassin739
I personally prefer to use a single mod that does both and is actively maintained. Just because something should work for future versions doesn't mean it won't get outdated. The Albino trait had a minor change with the index stuff being removed. The Giant trait however also had a new section of code added.

good
Any Thoughts? 22 Nov, 2021 @ 8:21pm
@FrozenSnowFox
Thanks that makes sense now. I didn't dig too deep through your mod, so I wasn't sure what the change was mainly. :steamthumbsup:
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 22 Nov, 2021 @ 8:05pm
@Any Thoughts?
There's a tag Good = Yes/No which determines if it's positive. The albino trait was missing this so it was therefore Good = No. There's also enables_inbred = Yes/No which I removed for the giant trait version. It's a very minor change. There's .info files in the game folders that actually detail what all the tags do which makes modding things very easy.
Any Thoughts? 22 Nov, 2021 @ 8:01pm
@FrozenSnowFox maybe I'm a little confused then, how does this mod change it from a negative to a positive? I guess I'm not sure what part in the code determines that is what I'm trying to figure out?
Any Thoughts? 22 Nov, 2021 @ 7:58pm
@Entity and @FrozenSnowFox there is a short cut for the character search as well it is the "c" key.
Jdalt40 22 Nov, 2021 @ 5:22pm
Well this is an unexpected place to find you lmao
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 22 Nov, 2021 @ 1:50pm
@Entity
There's a search function in the bottom right hand corner of the UI click the ... button. That covers the majority of things if you make use of the filters. You can search for traits by typing in the word of the trait and then selecting the trait. I don't plan to mess with modifying search options. There's actually a mod already called Advance Character Search already does a lot, not sure if its still working though.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 22 Nov, 2021 @ 1:50pm
@Entity
It's not wrong and there is no neutral. The points required in character creation are set by the developers in the game files. The Albino trait actually requires 0 points oddly. There are two states for traits in the game Good and Bad. Good traits have bonuses in game to make them more likely, bad traits have bonuses in game to make them less likely. The Albino trait is labelled as bad, with this mod the trait is labelled as good.
Entity 22 Nov, 2021 @ 1:36pm
@FrozenSnowFox

I think this game needs a character selection or search menu in your political actions reach to search for interesting people at curts.

The problem with the marriage search is that you can only search for the opposite sex, you need a male person to trigger it for the opposite sex.

It would maybe useful to have a dedicated searcher or a tag that allows to search randomly just people to pin them. I never did search for education elements for a character, is it possible? This would equally be the only thing, beside of genetically and attractive traits, that would be interesting to search for.

As a vampire it is additionally interesting to search for people, as they aren't a product out of your main characters.
Entity 22 Nov, 2021 @ 1:25pm
@Raine

This is wrong mathematically wrong! If you pick it in character creation, it is indicated with +/- 0 points and you can pick it in the dynasty points menu as a trait that will appear more likely in your realm or as offspring, this literally means it is neutral.

This is my interpretation of the facts I see!
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 22 Nov, 2021 @ 1:18pm
@Any Thoughts?
No, it does not. The attributes are exactly as they were.
Any Thoughts? 22 Nov, 2021 @ 12:27pm
Does this change any of the original attributes of the trait?
Raine 21 Nov, 2021 @ 3:15pm
@Entity ck3 treats all congenital traits as either positive of negative, there is no neutral
Entity 21 Nov, 2021 @ 9:32am
Here too:

Why not making it neutral!?

Tribal to feudal should really be equal by this.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 20 Nov, 2021 @ 7:30pm
@Chuckawookie
All the mods for the giant trait that I checked were either out of date, didn't include the facial morph change or did dumb stuff like include the entire trait game file instead of just the section for the trait they were changing. As for the albino mods I'm not sure I never ended up checking them before making my own mod.
Chuckawookie 20 Nov, 2021 @ 7:25pm
Although I appreciate you, someone already made this mod and the giant one.
ChicagoPhil 18 Nov, 2021 @ 6:16am
Good. The best wife during IM/A game was with an albino wife.
alegdansk 18 Nov, 2021 @ 5:54am
ah ok, now I understand , thank you ;)
Half-lidded Bruiser 18 Nov, 2021 @ 5:38am
@alegdansk The game can only treat traits as positive or negative for the purposes of genetic inheritance.
alegdansk 18 Nov, 2021 @ 4:57am
I agree that albino trait must not be negative.
But now it has not to be transformed in positive.
It would be ok if it was simply normal, I mean without any consequence for the player.
When you say "positive" it means "normal"?
