Creating this system is hard work. You can find a lot of much worse coded stuff in various stores related to gmod. There are much more insane ways to charge money. For example artists who sell “art” for several million. Just as art is created, coding is also art and at a much lower price.

Oh yes, I did that sorry. The particular hilt I was trying to use wasn't working. I'm guessing that must be a bug.

Okay, i picked a different saber, it's apparently not working with every hilt. Also, the crystals aren't showing up (they're there, but I can't see them).

You need to equip the hilt in the inventory.
Then you need to drag and drop the crystals into the right place.

It's also not letting me equip the saber.

It won't let me craft. I keep clicking on crystals but it's not doing anything. I have the hilt in my inventory as well. I don't know if I missed a step or if it's just not working but I'm not getting any errors.

Download the addon and change it inside the config. The hilt is only visible in thirdperson for now. We will fix it with the next update.
