It seems that the mod you linked is a Mandarin translation mod. In such case, you have my warmest welcome.

Such a necessary mod. Thanks so much for this, baffling that they didn't put something like this into the base game.
bighungryjames  [author] 12 Feb @ 4:31pm
Maybe as an interaction. Thank you for the suggestion, though.

Hi! I was wondering if it would be possible to add a feature where we can have even disloyal co-emperors marry. I'm so annoyed that if I want to marry off my ambitious son I can't elevate him to co-emperor. Thanks!
Kimanito 25 Nov, 2024 @ 4:09pm
Nevermind! It was another completely innocuous mod that was the cause.
Kimanito 24 Nov, 2024 @ 11:49am
Could you take a look at the Hold a Triumph decision ? I've noticed that it's not recognizing the wars I've won when I take the decision. When I check my character history, it seems that it comes up as an error. I don't think it's your mod or anything, but I did find that weird since otherwhise the decision works just fine just acting as if there was no war
bighungryjames  [author] 17 Nov, 2024 @ 1:45am
@Rickter I think that is not allowed by the game engine. Even if I allow it, some of the event chains might be affected if both the regent (junior emperor) and the ruler take their leaves of absence. Maybe I could add a decision that has similar effect to a grand wedding.
ɌƗȻꝀŦɆɌ 15 Nov, 2024 @ 5:24pm
i think it'd be cool if your junior emperor could have a great wedding
since they are technically regents the game does not let you
bighungryjames  [author] 15 Nov, 2024 @ 4:35am
Good idea. I'll see what I can do. Of course, when I get my vacations.
TDogOrtiz1175 12 Nov, 2024 @ 11:28pm
would you be able to make it so Rome uses the same court as Constantinople? it would also be cool if you could make it so capital Rome can use Greek Fire. Ridiculous that paradox didn't do this themselves
Kimanito 5 Nov, 2024 @ 4:19pm
got it
bighungryjames  [author] 5 Nov, 2024 @ 12:42am
Probably because in vanilla, the game checks if the mother actually stays in Constantinople during her childbirth. This mod makes that condition much more permissive.
Kimanito 4 Nov, 2024 @ 10:04pm
Has anyone had issues where the co-emperors children don't get born in the purple in vanilla ? I'm downloading this mod because it seems even after the update it's still an issue for me
Stoltverd 26 Oct, 2024 @ 8:35am
Yeah, varangians were patched a few days ago
bighungryjames  [author] 25 Oct, 2024 @ 11:45pm
I have checked the internal codes and it seems only the text localization files specify having e_byzantium as the condition for the Varangian decision. The actual code only requires your culture to allow Varangian guards and your primary title tier to be empire.
bighungryjames  [author] 25 Oct, 2024 @ 11:38pm
In my testing, even the already-created Varangians were transferred to the Roman Empire. The ability to create new Varangians was also maintained. Maybe it's patched already?
bighungryjames  [author] 25 Oct, 2024 @ 11:25pm
It seems that the vanilla game transfers var:founded_varangian_guards from the title:e_byzantium to title:e_roman_empire. The variangians should not be lost, in theory.
bighungryjames  [author] 11 Oct, 2024 @ 2:34am
Great idea. Will try to do that upon my next convenience.
Stoltverd 10 Oct, 2024 @ 6:00pm
Currently if you reform rome you also lose varangians. Would it possible for you to add this?
Additionally. Do you think it would be possible to reintroduce the restore imperial borders cassus belli for reformed rome and the possibility to diverge to latin just like roman heritage legend allows, but after restoring rome?
김길가 9 Oct, 2024 @ 9:51pm
좋은 모드 항상 잘 쓰고 있습니다.
bighungryjames  [author] 4 Oct, 2024 @ 4:12am
In theory, yes, as long as your culture have born-in-the-purple mechanism. You-ll probably change into greek or make an hybrid culture with greek if you are a german Kaiser.
Juxtaposed 3 Oct, 2024 @ 7:07pm
Does this work for if the HRE restores Rome?
bighungryjames  [author] 3 Oct, 2024 @ 6:18am
It's probably an error. I will fix it.
bropossible 1 Oct, 2024 @ 5:05pm
Why's the description all in Korean now?

I shall update this mod for the new DLC as soon as I get a vacation from my military service.

Damn, good luck man

I won't be able to update this mod for some time, because I got conscripted to the military service. Wish me luck!
Caloens2k1 28 Nov, 2023 @ 3:01am
I'm guessing this isn't compatible with Succession Expanded mod?

The return of one of my favourite mods, maybe it's time to go back and play some CK3 despite my annoyance at PDX playing politics with its game. Thanks.
firespark84 25 Apr, 2022 @ 8:15pm
judging by the pdx release schedule, if a byzantine flavour pack is next (which is very much an if, most people thought fate of Iberia was going to be byzantine before it was announced) the next dlc after foi will probs be a full expansion towards the end of this year or coming out in early 2023, which would probs put a byzantine flavour pack in summer 2023 at the earliest. Still it makes sense to wait, just it might be a decently long wait
bighungryjames  [author] 25 Apr, 2022 @ 7:43pm
@firespark84 I strongly believe that Paradox will develop an Byzantine expansion with a proper elective monarchy. I think your suggestion is great, however it could wait for the Byzantine DLC.
firespark84 25 Apr, 2022 @ 2:46pm
would be cool if appointing someone co emperor gave them higher standing with electors in elections to work with byzantine succession mods like succession expanded
Axel 14 Apr, 2022 @ 11:52am
Okay, thanks! I appreciate the clarity. I find it weird that things like the names of titles are linked to a tradition and not cultural heritage or language, but whatever. That's just Paradox weirdness at play.
bighungryjames  [author] 14 Apr, 2022 @ 2:06am
@Axel I have updated the mod description. Actual code (both my mod and the vanilla game) works by checking if the culture in question has parameter "children_can_born_in_the_purple = yes", and I thought this parameter was provided by "Eastern Roman Legacy". However, it was "Byzantine Traditions", not "Eastern Roman Legacy", which granted the parameter. So... sadly, you'll have to edit this mod yourself or create your own mod that adds "children_can_born_in_the_purple = yes" parameter to a tradition of your choice.
Axel 13 Apr, 2022 @ 7:39pm
Quick clarification:
Your description here says that the culture of the Basileus/Emperor needs to have the tradition "Eastern Roman Legacy," but the text for the cultural tradition "Byzantine Traditions" has text about allowing for the Born in the Purple trait. Is the description here correct, or is in-game correct? I mostly ask because I get annoyed that having Byzantine Traditions causes you to use all of the Byzantine/Greek names for titles, even if your culture's language and heritage are not Greek or Byzantine.
