nice puzzle. you go from "huh this is too easy. maybe i am getting smarter for a 4/10 puzzle" to "wtf just happened". very evil thing to not respawn the normal cube. the solution was kinda satisfying. the angles were kinda awkward in my solution, the markers on the ground helped but imo the final angle and the midpoint guessing is still a bit too much. you sometimes need 2-3 tries to get it right cool puzzle overall.

This map had me splitting hairs. Took me 70s minutes, really stumped me. Great puzzle! The layout to move ratio boggles me. So damn minimal. Favorited!

wait...can you trap yourself by just riding the orange funnel to the emitter? I don't see a way out of that situation
Mr Fab 6 Aug, 2023 @ 2:42am
I don't know why this took me so much time but I had fun  Favorited !

Great remake of one of my favorite older maps by you. I tried this when it first came out but got stuck really quick; glad I finally came back :)

Aha, very clever.
Mikeastro  [author] 13 Dec, 2022 @ 4:13am
@Nobody No-One Sorry for the late response, but there is a reason for that: with the current setup it is required that you leave the laser cube on the middle island for your first crossing to the exit side. Namely, one might be tempted to leave the laser cube on the first island instead blocking the laser, funneling it out of the way, pushing it against the grating, and later retrieving it again, to achieve this crossing. However, because now you have to move your funnel portal to reach the regular cube, you cannot do this while keeping the laser cube from falling into the goo. Hope that made sense

Very nice. It took me too long to realize that you could redirect the laser through a portal. Remarkably clean re-layout. (Is there any reason why the weighted cube area is up one block? The fact that you need to use the funnel to get it doesn't seem to force any additional logic, since you already need a blue funnel to get to the exit area anyway.) Big thumbs up.

Yep, this chamber turned out to be a lot harder than it looked.

I have no clue why, but for some reason this puzzle gave me an uncharacteristically difficult time solving. It's really quite easy, but the main "gimmick" just took a very long time for me to see. playthrough

clever idea. very interesting concept using funnel. fav :p2cube:

Thank you all so much for playing :D I'm very happy with the way this one turned out :cozycrashfish:

Great puzzle! Thanks!

Good element reuse!
Aneonen 5 Sep, 2022 @ 1:05pm
Nice puzzle! It was quite funny to have unseated my cubes so often with careless funnel placement
jandlml 3 Sep, 2022 @ 7:29pm
i know i didnt get your intended solution on this one. i used the fact the you can put two portals on the funnel and go either way once you do.
NLuziaf 2 Sep, 2022 @ 8:03am
Dude I glitched out and flying my way to the exit.

Very nice puzzle, very rare to see an approachable 3-cube these days :D

Excellent remake  and, like the original, added to favourites.

Ah, I see.
Psychological Atom 31 Aug, 2022 @ 8:57pm
@Libbybapa Oh okay, I did not see that flip panel at first sight, so that was my fault i didn't see it. As for the second one, if you shoot the portal in the grated ground surface and in the blue funnel, if you accidently go through your portal with the blue funnel, that's were the trapping happens.
Libbybapa 31 Aug, 2022 @ 3:21pm
Atom, I do not think that either location results in a trap. When the reset button is pressed, all three cubes respawn, AND a flip panel on the ceiling above the button turns portalable. The cubes respawning guarantees that the funnel turns orange. The player can shoot the funnel source portal surface and the flip above them and return to the entry area with a fully reset puzzle. I don't see how the second situation can result in a trap. Just walk up the stairs and step into the blue funnel to return to the reset button or entry area.
Psychological Atom 31 Aug, 2022 @ 2:59pm
I found out there is two possible trapping situation that should've been playtested even further:

1. I lost one of the cubes and when I hit the full-auto reset button, I found out there's no possible way to get back to the laser cubes and the laser so I'm pretty sure you can get trapped in the middle area. Also if you screwed up a move in the test chamber the only way to get backto the laser area is to jump in the goo
2. Also the player can get trapped in a situation where you have a portal on the blue funnel and the recessed grated floor surface.

I took another look and yes, I got caught up with the floor panel. Now the map is a favorite!
Libbybapa 30 Aug, 2022 @ 2:44pm
It was a fine puzzle, but I had to downvote it because the laser collision was off.
Dark Rozen 30 Aug, 2022 @ 12:09pm
I never used the positioning of the thumbnail
Narkodes 30 Aug, 2022 @ 11:34am
Very cool simplistic map. Really enjoyed it. Big thumbs up.
Mikeastro  [author] 30 Aug, 2022 @ 11:09am
@DiDo Killer! Thank you very much for playtesting and offering advice!
@nerdlingnation Thanks for playing! The logic is almost identical to the original; just with an ugly connection fewer, much more compact and one added logical step. I'd say it's an improvement :D
@₴ⱧɆɆ₱ĐØ₲ Thank you for the blind run! Indeed, the step at 5:40 was unintended, but you did it the intended way at 2:50 so I'm not sure what the confusion is about. Perhaps you got too caught up in trying to reuse that grated floor portal in that funny way? Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it overall.
@Narkodes Thank you for your video as well! Your solution was basically fully intended :cozycrashfish:
@Libbybapa I'm happy to hear that you liked the map too! Your solution is perfect! Thanks a lot for recording it :D
@Joric Most ''sighted'' indeed. Thank you for the video! I hope you liked the puzzle as well
Libbybapa 30 Aug, 2022 @ 11:08am
1:37 is closer to 2 minutes! MATH!

Libbybapa 30 Aug, 2022 @ 10:55am
Nice map. It took some thinking. Here's the solution I used. https://youtu.be/hhJr2munh_0 It all seemed intended.
Narkodes 30 Aug, 2022 @ 9:53am
Here's my blind run: https://youtu.be/P4nC8cyHx94
Is that the intended solution?
ĐⱤ₳Ⱡ₳₥i₳₦ 30 Aug, 2022 @ 8:09am
Blind playthrough  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdd7eAyOXBY . Good map! The part at 5:40 felt a bit unintended, I'm not sure if there is a cleaner way of doing that step.
nerdlingnation 30 Aug, 2022 @ 6:57am
Good puzzle. I can definitely see the resemblance to Split. Sometimes it's worth it to just slim down an idea and present it in the simplest way possible. I like how you have to work out how to manage the space on the wide surface Well done.
