Observation for the second puzzle:
Did you notice that if you don't flip the portable surface you can portal into the the exit corridor ?

Hint for the second puzzle:
You can use blue gel to get the cube off the button.

The puzzle is simple and sweet but the voice lines are quite mixed up? Like they are from different eras of aperture? Not sure if it is intended tbh

Semi-blindrun (guess I’ve played this before since it already had a thumbs up - it did feel distantly familiar to me, but it’s been several years since I’ve done so for sure)

Really, really unique test. I’m not sure I’ve seen any other map that has a two-way lever and a fan to blow gel with. It’s still quite easy, and I’d say the main chamber's only a little harder than the external puzzle that preceded it - if only because the “connection” between the button and the fizzler blocking the exit was not visible at all, at least to me.

At first I thought one had to shorten their jump or block themselves to enable a fall into the exit hallway somehow (and assumed the ceiling would break once the player did this), but then I remembered I never disabled the fan after turning it on - its two-way function probably had a good reason for existing, given that the gel drops over the button the player places the cube on to access the end areas by default. Taking into account the last fling conveniently placed the player right in that specific control room, with the portal from the fling allowing access back to the end area kept intact, it was pretty easy to figure out what to do after that.

I’m really not a fan of hiding connections like that to introduce artificial difficulty, but due to everything else about the chamber being really good I’m still giving this one a massive thumbs up.

Difficulty: 2.75/10
Enjoyed: 7.75/10

When you have done a few puzzles this one is not too hard, nevertheless nice to play! The 1971 environment is beautiful.

I LOVE the swapping of the runway (orange/blue) in the first part and the fan physics in the second part. Awesome map, thumbs up! :-)

I love it so much, the interaction between wind and gel in particular is ingenious :bite::dsmile:

Very nice map, consider trying this one if you're looking for a different kind of puzzle challenge.

the first time I tried this, i didn't realize in the second chamber to get to the end, you had to take the cube off, then put a portal to the end. nice job!

暮 色 电 台 8 Jun, 2019 @ 5:52pm
In the 1st scene, just move the orange gel to the area which has the blue gel pipeline and move the blue gel to the white wall which is opposite to the exit. In the 2nd scene, since the portal disappeared when panel flipped, you have to open a portal at the wall next to the flipped panel while flying in the sky.:steamhappy:

I find this map impossible. I can't get past the first area. After using the blue gel on the single square near the entrance, it's impossible to know what to do next. I just keep going around in circles. Got any tips?

Or I am less stupid, than I thought, or...puzzle wasn't too difficult. However an idea well shown and better than well done. Props!

When I was much younger, my family owned a handful of sheet glass factories. I spent lots of time at one of them. Every time I play this environment, it reminds me of many happy days exploring the place. (before OSHA) Great chamber. Good job! I'm sharing it.

Great puzzle with the fan and the cube. Had me stuck for a bit.
