@stevenstien000 Thanks! It's nice to see some of my older maps being used. If I can find the time, I'd be half tempted to revisit and revive some of the older projects!
Vonstevenstien 11 May, 2017 @ 9:27pm
I second Orklord's comment. High praise from one who builds great and detailed maps himself. "Made by Monolithicbacon" - Downloaded. Enough said! Big fan of your work! Thanks!

Tipp for other players : its no misstake to try more Maps of Him...its Time to say this ones :)

MonolithicBacon  [author] 7 Sep, 2014 @ 3:49am
@OriginalDaniel, thanks for the head's up. It seems that since COH1, some objects have had their crush status changed, and now can't be destroyed. I'll see what I can do.
OriginalDan 5 Sep, 2014 @ 8:41pm
Another great map dude but the pathing for the heavy tanks needs work.
Pantern 5 Sep, 2014 @ 10:32am
Very nice tutorial I really liked it, Cheers!
MonolithicBacon  [author] 5 Sep, 2014 @ 10:06am
@Moose, have a look at this video I made for starting a map:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1zrosdjc9k

Honetly, I will always draw out a map on paper, and draw out the territory points. Once you have that laid down, you can easily draw the same lines on a map with splines, and design your map around them.
Pantern 5 Sep, 2014 @ 5:12am
When you get the idea of making a custom map how do you plan the layout of the map?
I always get stuck when I am trying to get a good layout.
Waynes World Rox 2 Sep, 2014 @ 11:10am
Nice map with okw pop cap too small the AI dont help just sit around and the computers AI all attack u, so with four units how can you win? I have to destory all AI plus my base to complete game? 200 pop cap would rock, thank you for the great map the detail is awesome and atmosphere fantastic...well done, I love your maps...
Brummbær 2 Sep, 2014 @ 7:31am
I really like your maps! This one is no exception :KSmiley:
jaxprog 1 Sep, 2014 @ 9:31pm
Great map and very challenging with back and forth struggles for victory markers. 100 population makes for good balance on this map.
Dobro 1 Sep, 2014 @ 1:08am
no problem :D
MonolithicBacon  [author] 31 Aug, 2014 @ 11:58pm
@otvedajsiluwkibogatyrskoj, Not only have you not asked permission to do this, I would also not allow it. You have not contributed at all to the creation of this map, and are plagiarising against Steam's Workshop rules for doing so.

Please remove your version, and I will post a 200 pop cap version when I choose to.
Dobro 31 Aug, 2014 @ 6:24pm
how you feel about the fact that I posted this map with the 200 population? http://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=308570488
The Chaos Chosen 31 Aug, 2014 @ 3:19pm
love it
«DoP»Orklord 31 Aug, 2014 @ 12:00pm
Ahh another nice Map ,Ill try it out soon :)
MonolithicBacon  [author] 31 Aug, 2014 @ 8:29am
@mslimp, Thanks for your feedback! And as for the WFA? I've barely had a real chance to sink my teeth into them. I do much prefer the OKW's aggressiveness, but I'm still tackling the AEF and their very early-late game weaknesses.

However, from a mapping standpoint, the new assets are great, and the opportunity to build in new theatres is always a bonus!
Steiner 31 Aug, 2014 @ 7:09am
I'll be honest, I am not a huge fan of the big pop caps, but for your maps you have done, the 100 or 125, maybe even a 150 is perfect. Once again, thanks for the hard work and detail you put into the maps you create! From a Historians standpoint, Cheers mate!! Rated and of course approved. What are your thoughts on the new western front armies and its commanders?
j.jamo5 31 Aug, 2014 @ 4:27am
Rated :D
MonolithicBacon  [author] 31 Aug, 2014 @ 3:16am
@mslimp, That all depends on whether it gets enough ratings. I don't have the workshop space to make two versions unless it's very popular!

Still, thanks for playing! Spread the word!
Steiner 30 Aug, 2014 @ 6:09pm
big fan of your work, great maps, would you ever use a 125 or 150 pop cap on this one?
Quintessence 30 Aug, 2014 @ 3:52am
Lookin forward to trying this map some time soon.
Sparks 30 Aug, 2014 @ 12:41am
@MonolithicBacon. Roger that. Thanks for the info!
MonolithicBacon  [author] 30 Aug, 2014 @ 12:37am
@Sparks, I'm glad you think so. But hold onto that thought, because there is an initiative in the works to do just that. I can't say much at all, but keep your eyes peeled!
Sparks 29 Aug, 2014 @ 9:11pm
Relic just needs to have an update that adds a load of these awesome maps into multiplayer. A lot of these maps (including this one) are of better quality than the ones that are actually in the game.
'Stubbs 29 Aug, 2014 @ 3:30pm
no problem m8 thannks for the info!
RedHammer 29 Aug, 2014 @ 3:27pm
i love your maps. thx mono :))
Movace 29 Aug, 2014 @ 2:32pm
Very nice!
MonolithicBacon  [author] 29 Aug, 2014 @ 2:21pm
@Invictus, I've noticed that myself. I'm going to have a play around to see if I can change it, but fog doesn't affect any units, so far as I'm aware. All I could do is change the colour and shade of them. Maybe a dusty yellow would make them blend in more.

Still, thanks for playing!
Invictus 29 Aug, 2014 @ 2:06pm
I've just played it, and it is stunning! defenitly a like from me!
Just one thing, don't know if it's on purpose, but the fog amount of the units it quite low. There's this beautiful fog around the map, just like a sandstorm, but the units are very visible instead that they're a bit darkened by the fog
MonolithicBacon  [author] 29 Aug, 2014 @ 1:39pm
You would have to change the map back to its original format and adapt the .scar file within the folder. However, doing so would mean that only you could play that version.

Sorry! But, I have to say, thanks for your honestly. It's nice to meet someone who asks for a change!
'Stubbs 29 Aug, 2014 @ 1:21pm
is their any way i as a sub can change the map to have higher pop cap? i know you guys making these hate all the comments saying "HIGHER POP CAP BITCH" so i was wondering if i could do it myself ?
MonolithicBacon  [author] 29 Aug, 2014 @ 10:40am
Please drop a rating if you've enjoyed the map, folks! And let me know if you encounter any issues!
Invictus 29 Aug, 2014 @ 10:37am
True artist!
MonolithicBacon  [author] 29 Aug, 2014 @ 8:27am
@vesarat31, Pop-cap is at 100, unless there's particular interest in making it any higher. I don't have the space in my workshop to have two versions unless it's a popular map!
戦艦 ヤマト #StandWithThai 29 Aug, 2014 @ 5:28am
pop cap?
FichtenMoped 27 Aug, 2014 @ 2:08pm
Epic! I live near Jülich and it just looks awsome :)
MonolithicBacon  [author] 27 Aug, 2014 @ 1:14pm
Please rate the map and tell your friends if you've enjoyed this, folks!
And considering this is an urban map, and feedback will be greatly appreciated! We've already had 3 updates since release to keep the problems to a minimum!
Dobro 27 Aug, 2014 @ 1:08pm
maestro
beagletank 27 Aug, 2014 @ 10:52am
Thank you for the pictures. It looks wonderfull as always. Great work!
NiXtaDaBz 27 Aug, 2014 @ 10:52am
That's what i thought, i think it comes from the fact that i play 1v1 on large scale maps, and the AI enters what i call "passive mode". I'll give it a try in a 3v3 or 4v4 game and will leave feedback here if it solves the issue. I discovered the exact same issue on quite a few other maps, and the common factor between them is the size between my starting point and their. I think Relic's AI enters "aggro mode" when you are not too far away from it. Still, the map looks beautiful, and has a very nice balance, it will be a blast in multiplayer :)
MonolithicBacon  [author] 27 Aug, 2014 @ 10:23am
@beagletank, Screenshots are coming! And good to see you too!

@NiXtaDaBz, The map has been entirely optimised to promote the pathfinding of all units and vehicles, and the only thing that should have to change on this front is further work on widening narrow paths for team weapons, and widening large paths for "super heavy tanks".

If you're concerned about the AI, there is nothing that I can change. They have the exact same HQ space, resources and controls as any other Relic Map. If you feel that they are not performing as well in 1vs1, that would probably be because this is a 4vs4 scale map.

Honestly, if I could improve it, I would! Thanks for playing, but I honestly can't change a thing.
NiXtaDaBz 27 Aug, 2014 @ 9:38am
Hello, the map is beautiful, as always, but it suffers from the same issues i found on Sittard, and Tali Ihantala: the AI is somewhat very passive on these maps. I do not know if it is something you have control over, but i wonder if it is the map size that makes AI "lost" in pathing when playing 1 v 1. Anyway, i will definitely have fun with my friends on Jülich (and the others as well :))
beagletank 27 Aug, 2014 @ 9:02am
Hi Bacon,

nice to see you back again. I will download your map, but this time I miss some screenshots. ;-)
