Willis Duct Grate, but a Door

In hindsight, it might have been simpler to highlight the door panel like other doors and rely on the selection outline mod for cleanliness. A passing thought, but if that control panel could be adjusted to reliably be usable from inside the duct, that would be fantastic.
Deapri 3 Feb @ 2:08pm
I've had no issue passing through the door however the button panel inside does not seem to be actionable from inside, a collision box issue perhaps.

can't pass through the duct, please update :steamsad:
Commando_Kain 11 Nov, 2024 @ 2:31pm
@Aikagi I am also having this issue. It sucks cause i really want to use this mod.
MechaMaria64 27 Oct, 2024 @ 11:11pm
unable to actually pass through the duct. It just acts like a solid wall now no matter what. Also a huge black box on the build state
Aikagi 26 Oct, 2024 @ 6:08pm
Update: it's weird, from the front side of the grate I can click the floor button. But once I pass to the back side of grate I can't click it, even if I'm standing in an open room. It's like something is blocking clicks from the back side of the button. Tested by placing it against an unwelded scaffold block
Aikagi 26 Oct, 2024 @ 5:10pm
woot! thank you so much for fixing this. But like everyone said, can't click the button from the inside even when the button is on the floor.

Thanks for the quick update. Rakmar is right though about the inside button. When the tube is upside down the button is almost impossible to get.

Hello, thanks for an update to this awesome mod! However, I found 2 things when using the mod, engineers can't access the door if it is vertical for some reason and also the control panel for opening the door from outside the duct cannot be operated from the inside.
Herr Doktor 22 Oct, 2024 @ 2:25am
Yea the Ducts must have been enlarged a bit. There is now a very visible gap when using these. If this is update, I'd love to see a button on the inside of the door as well to open it.
JoJo 21 Oct, 2024 @ 2:17pm
Hey, i don't know if i'm missing something, but it seems that the grate door is smaller than the willis duct entrance/ the normal willis duct grate? Maybe it has something to do with the last patch (contact update), the patch notes say:
"Fixed an issue with the Willis Duct collisions forcing the character's head through the ceiling when walking in 1st person"
Soooo... did they enlarge it or what? Only thing i know is that it doesn't quite fit anymore.

It's such a cool mod, i would really love if you could fix it <3

There's a few bugs with the collider. Whether they're linked or not I do not know.

1: Unable to crawl into the duct when the door is open.
2: A solid black box appears while grinding the door down or when it has first been placed but not built up (as I did when replacing the door to try to fix problem #1)

These issues don't always happen. In fact I reported it once but then it stopped happening and I thought maybe it was a one off issue so I deleted the comment, likely before you even saw it.

So far, the problem stops happening once I've finished building the ship, detached it from the main grid, and converted it from static grid to a ship.

I'm pushing at the problem harder trying to nail down when it does and doesn't happen. I tried turning off the projector and placing the door manually but it still happens. If it behaves as before then once I turn it into a ship, it work properly.

This should have been vanilla. Great work!

Looks nice, but can't duck underneath the door when it's placed as a 1/2 block horizontal opening.

Pretty cool for covering your railgun cameras.

Have to agree with a few others, this mod is fantastic, though some kind of button access from inside the crawlspace would be most beneficial, particularly when using auto-closing scripts.

When adding this to the block as a door, after I open it I can't move through it whether I'm crouching or using jetpack

Thank you as I have started implementing willis ducts in my recent RP designs.

And a very rude emote to a certain media company that had held a grudge bordering on psychopathic hatred for their most loyal fans and customers for almost six decades now.

"I can' nae give ye any more, Cap'n! The {redacted} crystals 're peelin' lak oranges!" (To the engines) "Ah, me poor barins. . ."
dRuPpI 5 Mar, 2024 @ 8:37am
well can't reach the open button from inside :lunar2019laughingpig:
Team Fortress Mercenary 4 Mar, 2024 @ 3:27pm
amogus ship is now plausible.
MEGATRON 4 Mar, 2024 @ 9:11am
WHAT IF: Keen intentionally doesn't add completing content such as an openable willis duct grate because THEY KNOW modders will do it instead?
Deapri 3 Mar, 2024 @ 8:03pm
You can with a little planning aim at the button panel from the inside, however a button on the inside would be a welcome addition.

ZEN_2255 29 Feb, 2024 @ 11:46am
Oh, yeah, that's what was missing. Why didn't KEEN do that?
Hethan757 29 Feb, 2024 @ 9:07am
do you plan to put this on mod io?
Forgi LaGeord 28 Feb, 2024 @ 7:42pm
Oh, also, this one opens to an angle, so you can walk up it like a ramp to access willis ducts in the top-tunnel configuration.
Forgi LaGeord 28 Feb, 2024 @ 7:41pm
The model is nicer, and the modern interaction highlight instead of the ancient glowy box with triangle corners is also appreciated. Also, functional difference, this one isn't airtight, so it's actually usable as a vent. Downside, I can't find any way to open it from inside. When it's open, you can kind of stick your head out of the duct and hit the button and run back in, but when it's closed and you're in the duct, you can't reach the button.
Amos Burton 28 Feb, 2024 @ 7:19pm
I see the difference. this one had 4 hinges while Sektan's has 2 models. 1 has 1 hinge and other has 2. i do believe this one is a nicer model. good work. other than that i see no diff.
Patrick 28 Feb, 2024 @ 6:52pm
Genuine question, is this different than Sektan's version? https://cs2bus.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2963111776[/url
Artorias 27 Feb, 2024 @ 10:54am
Now that's more like it. Keen should of done this from the get-go when they added them.
