Tf2 workshop is a products platform for tf2 . Anyone is allowed to say his opinion and rate the product . Imo your item is not creative its just like other random pets on mercs shoulder . So you will rarely see it being used in casual and probably being used as trade up fodder . I wanna see more creative items

It's cute and all but do we really need more pet cosmetics?

unlike some of the other pet cosmetics in the workshop, im honestly fine with this one, just wish it looked a bit less detailed.
Everik 13 May, 2024 @ 11:08pm
I think you're getting confused due to the model's handling of texturing and normal maps. It's polycount IS small, but by expertly mixing normals and great texturing, the model comes off as having a higher fidelity than it actually has, thus saving a lot in not just performance but workload on the item itself.
Anyways, this is a great cosmetic, and I do not think it's detailed texturing and normal map strays too far from the TF2 style. Good item.

I never intended to be serious with that part of my comment. Sorry it came across that way.
What I really meant is that it looks strange when put on the Medic’s shoulder. Maybe it has more fine details than the Medic himself has. I don’t know. :bms_headcrab:
Extra Ram 13 May, 2024 @ 10:49pm
Medic's polycount at his highest quality LOD is 6,658, whereas the polylimit for all cosmetics is 1,400 at max. You can't even upload any cosmetic that's even a tri above that limiter, otherwise the uploader gives you an error message and refuses to import it until the polylimit's met.
Steve Gomez 13 May, 2024 @ 10:40pm
@Mcfighter2 You have literally no idea what you're talking about. There's a thing called "polycount limits" when it comes to TF2. Please learn a thing or two about cosmetics before you comment on how they're made.
Mcfighter2 13 May, 2024 @ 7:57pm
I bet the dog is made of more triangles than Medic is (not a good thing).
It's clever but I don't know why a tiny st. bernard is on the Medic's shoulder when he never had a pet dog, only doves.

ah yes, the "pet/thing that's vaguely related to Merc on his shoulder" cosmetic, it's not like we have 40+ of them.

I honestly won't try to understand it, because if I did I would probably turn into Zesty Jesus and be an overall a**hole to most people just because,

and I'm only here for the cosmetics and not to learn what all workshoppers do behind the scenes since I don't care xD
Have a good one tho :47_thumb_up:

One of them delete comments of straight forward negative answer so i will not say "good" protect them all you want, if only you knew how bad the workshop/emporium it really is.
Flolfy~ ❄ 13 May, 2024 @ 4:52am
"Like who the f*ck puts their dog on their shoulder in the middle of a battle field?" The same person who puts his bird on their shoulder during a battle or sometimes has a bird head himself? <_>

And writing off ALL tf2 workshop creators as scummy a**holes is just pathetic and obviously silly since they are the only people that keep the game running with new content for years, and I've seen that these two workshop creators got some actual great stuff in the game, so there is literally no reason to call them scummy, money eating, brainless trolls if they literally made hundreds of cosmetic items.
These two created so much that there are obviously gonna be some weirder cosmetics, but overall there are still more good items, and they do not deserve to be harrassed and labeled as the stereotypical cash grabber.
Gamer360 13 May, 2024 @ 4:34am
Just because tf2 is not in the good spot does not mean people should stoke the fire with more objectively bad items. Im still willing to speak up because i genuinely care about the game and i dont want the workshoppers that treat customers like insects and want to walk all over the game ruin it. The problem is. If they keep making sh*t we get sh*t. That's the main issue and the creators are way to stubborn to get it. They care more about the money than the game. So im not paying a cent until creators get their mind together, respect the customers and their workers, and pay attention to what they are doing. Like who the f*ck puts their dog on their shoulder in the middle of a battle field? Like seriously, what is there to be positive about that.

+ . . . Team Fortress is in a horrible spot, and I'm sadly no longer satisfied and care about cosmetic cases as much anymore because cosmetics are not as great as any major update, and we all know that there is never going to be anything new that will be a huge deal for TF2 as of now cause the last Major update was.. wow, 7 Years ago.
3 "Holiday sized updates" a year of the same repeating stuff with a few new maps and MAYBE rare good new game modes like the Infected and VSH game modes are not enough if it is mostly the same stuff 3 times a year for a limited time.
Flolfy~ ❄ 13 May, 2024 @ 4:26am
If it is actual good critic I don't mind it but actually love it, but the TF2 workshop comment sections are always filled with trash and some other weirdos that heard something from a youtuber and now hate every single workshop content creator cause of silly ingame items.
The last few cosmetic cases were great and a single pet cosmetic would not hurt if the rest are still good Hats, shirts, pants, hopefully gloves at some point and etc.
DeerBoy 1940 13 May, 2024 @ 4:08am
why?
Gamer360 13 May, 2024 @ 4:03am
The difference is, the people that is critical actually care about the game, people that are way to positive are enablers
Flolfy~ ❄ 13 May, 2024 @ 3:56am
Knowing that this comment section will most likely be overrun by wannabe critics and people that complain about "too many pet cosmetics" soon,
I'm just gonna leave a positive comment and say that this is adorable and I love the 'Emotional Support' edit style name. :47_thumb_up:^v^

Deleting comments is not going to make you look better, saying this before you delete this one. Have no respect for workshoppers anymore.
