You can easely fix the issues by simply deleting the elevators and place them yourself but still the map would be made of 128x128 all side textured brushes which can be done MUCH nicer in hammer using nodraw texture :)

The same thing happened to me (once) on my original play through :o
And I don't mean a tiny shift but rather by about the width of the laser receiver !!
