Sounds perfect for my roleplay hope it works.

@TemplarJJ unfortunately you can not inherit tributaries like you can in CK2
TemplarJJ 8 Jun @ 10:52am
I thought this was already in the base game.
织田信长 6 Jun @ 5:33am
Can you add some negotiation conditions during interactions to make requests more likely to succeed, such as a hook?
Shifty Fish 4 Jun @ 11:33pm
Concur with Ziege. Would like to be a sea raiding faction that gets tributaries from people that don't wanna deal with getting landed on.
Ziege 1 Jun @ 9:34pm
could you please make it to where we can establish tributaries across the sea?
Lybraris  [author] 31 May @ 12:47am
@ That's not the purpose of the mod :(.
󠇰󠇰 29 May @ 12:10am
can you integrate tributaries into regular vassals?
Lybraris  [author] 26 May @ 10:12am
I tried adding it as a game rule, but it ended up crashing the game, so I’m guessing it’s not possible. :(
Mr Krabs 25 May @ 10:11pm
is it possible to add to the permanent tributary to have the suzerain's name overlayed on it like the tribal tributaries?
Lybraris  [author] 21 May @ 1:10am
@BBCMGTOW I don't understand your request. You can just release the tributary, and if you are one, you can simply cease paying tribute :).
dez 20 May @ 11:04am
possibility of adding an option to refuse tribute/cancel it which leads to a war which if you win removes your tributary?
Harfagri 18 May @ 6:46am
Thank you so much for the fix!
Lybraris  [author] 17 May @ 12:45pm
The issue has been resolved. You now correctly gain a permanent tributary when using the casus belli :).
Lybraris  [author] 17 May @ 2:20am
@Harfagri I’ll take a look when I have some time. It shouldn’t be too hard to fix.
Harfagri 16 May @ 8:54pm
Love this mod, however, winning permanent tributary CB seems to only establish non-permanent contract and cannot be inherited.
Lybraris  [author] 16 May @ 2:12am
@Tig Biddies That's actually how it was implemented in vanilla. The main factor that determines their willingness to become tributaries is their personality. A callous and ambitious duke won’t pay tribute just because you have 10k more troops. If you're stronger than them and they refuse, you can always use the casus belli :).
Tig Biddies 15 May @ 6:16pm
Could the AI willingness to pay tribute be lowered? Currently I could outnumber another realm by 10k troops and they'll still refuse to pay tribute.
Lybraris  [author] 11 May @ 9:46am
Added support for releasing, demanding, and subjugating permanent tributaries. These function like regular subjugated tributaries, but with one key difference: they are inherited by the suzerain's heir.

Additionally, non–de jure vassals can now request to become tributaries even if they are not nomads.

Note: The AI currently does not use any of these new mechanics, as I felt it would be too disruptive to game balance.

Permanent tributaries are intentionally more difficult to acquire than standard ones. Subjugating them requires more prestige, and they are more reluctant to accept demands.
Lybraris  [author] 9 May @ 12:22am
@Gregory, I'm not sure. Keep in mind that AI could also do it, which might mess up games—so I don't think it's a good idea :).
Gregory 8 May @ 12:17pm
hey, could you add demand conversion to religion, it would be great
diamond 7 May @ 5:41pm
Inheritable tributaries will be so massive. Almost like how ypou gotta fight toget independence in. You sir are a legend and the mod has been great. EU etc. :ambitious_trait:
Lybraris  [author] 7 May @ 8:55am
Okay @everyone, I’ll try to work on that this weekend. If I manage to get it done, I’ll add an interaction for non-de jure vassals to request becoming a tributary, as well as support for inheritable tributaries. No promises though—it might turn out to be astronomically difficult. Who knows? :)
Lybraris  [author] 7 May @ 8:53am
@AppleManzana Yeah, but you can already do that in vanilla—as long as tributaries are unlocked. I've been able to do it myself, and the AI seems to handle it just fine too.
max1m987 7 May @ 8:32am
>Btw, can you make tributaries inherited?

Second this. But maybe bigger opinion malus and independence desire instead. For balance and roleplay, you know.
Xacrous 7 May @ 3:10am
Great mod! Been waiting for it! Btw, can you make tributaries inherited?
AppleManzana 6 May @ 7:25pm
@Lybraris I think Lector Owl means that he want to go to war against someone to force him to be tributary, what ever the government type
Lybraris  [author] 6 May @ 9:51am
@Lector Owl I’m not sure I understand—are you saying you want to go to war for someone else’s tributary? Because you can already demand tribute with the mod, as any government type, as long as your crown authority is high enough
Lector Owl 6 May @ 2:47am
you should deff make a mod which makes it possible to go to war for tributary and demand tributary for feudal, tribal, and clan government
Lybraris  [author] 5 May @ 8:10am
I've already uploaded the solution—feel free to comment if you notice any other issues :).
Lybraris  [author] 5 May @ 7:32am
@Everyone I’ve discovered the issue: you need at least level 2 Crown or Tribal Authority to have tributaries. If it's set to level 1, no interaction will be displayed. I’ll add a tooltip to clarify this in-game.
Lybraris  [author] 5 May @ 7:30am
@Tig Biddies If I have the time, I’ll look into it—though I’m not exactly sure how I’d go about doing it yet.
mriucd 4 May @ 10:31am
I do not see the interaction , also does it work with feudal governments?
great idea though, hope it gets fixed
JustGaming13 4 May @ 9:37am
Already broken, the interaction doesn't appear
JustGaming13 4 May @ 9:11am
This applies to non-Nomadic governments, right?
adalux 4 May @ 8:59am
i'm confused on the requirements for tributaries tbh, sometimes I cant declare war or demand tribute and im confused as to why not.
Tig Biddies 3 May @ 11:39pm
Is it possible to make it so that tributaries don't break free after death?
jglennv1 3 May @ 4:02am
Thank you for making this mod. Should be in the vanilla game.
Lybraris  [author] 2 May @ 10:41am
@One Proud Brazilian It's already coded so that if the ruler has non-de jure vassals who are rivals, nemeses, or have less than 80 opinion they are encouraged to use it — but ultimately, it's up to them.
If I have time, I might add an interaction for vassals to request being released as tributaries.
Lybraris  [author] 2 May @ 10:39am
@Lorian explained it perfectly — it used to annoy me having to go to war every time. This way, it's much easier, and I figured others might feel the same, so I published it. :)
Lorian 2 May @ 9:43am
Vanilla non-nomads can only get tribute from a casus belli, this adds the interaction to demand tribute peacefully that nomads have for non-nomads.
Where's the difference to the vanilla DLC content? Is this for non-nomads or what?
Jovan_of_AEA 1 May @ 10:28am
wait, hows this different from vanilla
One Proud Brazilian 30 Apr @ 6:52pm
Can also make a decision for a non-dejure vassal to peacefully "request independence", being released as a tributary
One Proud Brazilian 30 Apr @ 4:23pm
how about a game rule for AI to use this interaction to release troublesome/distant vassals as tributaries? :)
