For some reason even after beating Portals, Portal 2s, Portal Revolutions, Part of Portal Reloaded, and Portal Stories: Mel Story mode campaigns some of the maps in here were too difficult to me.wth. (I alredy solved most btw it just took quite a while and even cheesing some maps)

Fantastic collection. Congrats to RedSilencer, and all the authors of the maps in this collection. Had an awesome experience.

I think I added them in order, but they ended up in a jumbled mess in my map queue anyway. I don't know a good solution for that, so I'm just playing my queue in order, skipping the ones I can't yet solve, and removing the ones I have solved. The queue would be more useful if it only grayed test chamber names after solving them, instead of merely attempting .

I actually removed it because for big lists like this, sometimes the game will put them out-of-order in your queue and I ordered them generally for difficulty.

I couldn't find the "Subscribe All" button, but that could be a skill issue on my end.

Thanks for playing, I saw your comments on the other maps as you were playing ;D

Yeah, it is supposed to be like an intro to puzzle-solving concepts. There are so many other maps I would want to include and change the order a bit, but I haven't had the time. I'll get round to it this summer, perhaps.

Finished this in its current state (seems some were added, but also a few were removed, judging by DarkRozen's video).

I think it gets fairly tricky later on, especially near the end (Chrysalis, Moonshine and Juxtaposition are all quite challenging, for example), so I assume your goal isn't just to teach people on easy-medium but to provide a gentle ramp into more challenging chambers. I'm not super new (I did finish e.g. Mel on advanced before, and also Mikeastro's Reliquiae maps, etc), but I'm also not "epic beast mode" player, so hard to say how this collection is for such players.

Started very easy, in the middle started growing in challenge and then finished with some genuinely tricky ones. I had a lot of fun with these, all are satisfying and well-designed, and I even learned a few new moves and ideas here. :)

Great to see that this collection has been getting more attention in the past couple weeks; courtesy of Mikeastro's video, I'm sure.

This was very nice to go through while wanting to relax but still have to think about solving puzzles - thank you for compiling it!

Check out this collection of early maps designed by camerson1313, some puzzles really worth including https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=130496807

I really enjoyed playing this collection and almost every puzzle in it. In total it didn't take me much more than 8 hours I think, but I had a lot of unfair advantages over the players this collection is designed for.

My advice for any new player that happens to read this:
Play all these maps. Figure them all out by yourself. You will not regret it.
Nobody No-One 8 Jun, 2018 @ 2:28pm
Seems like you've really put a lot of thought into this collection. I admire that.
RedSilencer  [author] 8 Jun, 2018 @ 12:59pm
I keep playing with the order. I really liked that Gate was at least within 1 or 2 from the top, but I think I'll keep the top part of the collection dedicated to short puzzles that don't use cubes (boxes). They teach the basics of portal management and I suppose by putting them in a line first and THEN introducing a small puzzle about boxes, maybe that'll get players in the mindset of thinking about the more general position management of things besides their portals.

This collection has kept its name from the start, but over time it's definitely become more and more dedicated to teaching puzzle solving concepts than it does showing what a wide variety of maps exist on the workshop. I don't mind, I'll keep the name, it's not to be overthought. :B1:

Completed for about 20 hours. Best puzzle was Thrust by SloppySteve just because it is symmetrical and I broke it https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1342328715

It's been 39 items now 38. Why Predicament by Atom got removed? https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=901321763

The idea behind this collection is pretty ingenious. Nice work compiling all these maps. It's nice to play these sorts of simple but satisfying puzzles between harder maps.
