The second chamber was tedious, but I just had to finish it. Finally found something that worked. Good chamber!

Took me a long time, but enjoyable

nice puzzle. I couldn't figure that out without checking the solution - learned some new gel flinging tricks there. thanks

thats ok i get it it just takes me a long time thanks

Other than more precise portal placement, no. :(

i always have so much trouble with theat final move. the gel will oscillate a couple times and then hit the floor. is there a trick to getting it to work right?

the second puzzle is a bear

This one was alright. Not your best work, but doable. Flinging puzzles of this nature are not my forte.

The puzzle is easy as you said. The design and bomb flings are good. Well done.

Casual players would also likely find this tedious (as I kinda did, as is the case with me and spreading conversion gel everywhere :P). Though I have to say, this puzzle doesn't seem bad at all (assuming you know what to do). One thing I noticed was the lack of other testing elements, possibly contributing to the elegance...or the fact that conversion gel is hard to work into a puzzle that has other testing elements.

Conversion gel tests are pretty tricky to make without creating many solutions and you did a great job of eliminating them. It's simple as you said, but only because I'm an experienced player. I think casual players would find this medium to possibly hard. Good job!

Wall's patterns are the conversion gel equivalent of black walls for portals. If you don't use patterns, you use gratings + goo or glass, this isn't better and your patterns look better :)

Maybe the only way - without controlling each surface the player can play with - is to think of conversion gel as a "all white" room.

@Talisac I know, sorry you expected a bigger twist.
But I'll have to disagree on the patterns on the walls to prevent portaling. An ideal puzzle wouldn't need such "cheap" methods. And on top of that, when I tested this I could still get the blobs up there, step by step, with angled portals. It just takes a while.

Yeah... Conversion Gel! (T[]T)

I have a weekness for white gel tests. I think this one would work better if the gel flow is set to heavy, but other than that, I think the puzzle works as much as an awesome white gel test would.

First of all, liked the design and the discreet way to prevent players for portaling the splashed-wall in 2nd area!

About the puzzle... Well to be honest, I'm quite disappointed. Angle-thrown bubbles are nothing new (at least for me) so this puzzle was quite similar to putting a cube on a button and reach the exit. It's a bit lacking of a twisted move, something involving more steps and ah-ah moments. I remember your previous one (with lasers) which was just perfect with intricated moves...

Well anyway, doesn't mean it was bad at all (voted +). Conversion gel is quite horrible to use (how many fix for my whitesplash map? huh, never again) and this map seems quite solid, so good work

I applyed that move in all rooms; in the second room I was able to coat to 'dropper' ceiling and I used that move too (I also used another method to quickly change both portals while the bubble in the air to reach the second final area - adding more momentum - in the second room).
olshi  [author] 15 Jul, 2015 @ 5:10am
@dire.fcs The intended way to get to the exit is to let a blob fall endlessly between two portals and then shoot it up to the lit ceiling. What did you do?
dire.fcs 14 Jul, 2015 @ 5:19pm
Very good conversion gel map; I used the same strategy in all rooms and in all moves (the same to exit)

dude ! this puzzle's awesome! normally I hate conversion gel tests because they're boring, easy, and hopelessly tedious, but this one is really smart and unique! not tedious at all ;)

thumbs up + favorite :)

Not bad, I liked play with the angles :)
