Hey guys, I have been off for weeks. I'm confused if I should make a level by using hammer editor (From Scratch). And CO-OP or singleplayer. I need opinions, remember I can use everything used in portal 2 story, so it can be really cool, or really bad.

I just spread it, because it's very helpful, as you see.

I hope with this guide, more maps with clean style and good puzzles will be release.

Hey, I readed your tutorial almost twice, and the first time I thought you were mean, but the secound time I discovered you actually helped me - ALOT. I used old (bad) logics wich were *thumbs down*. So thank you so much, BlumCoLe! :)

Update:
1. The tractor beam for the "long fall portal boost" was pointless, the same as why the faith plate got removed, now you got to place a cube at a button and use the tractor beam at it and get over to the cube.
2. Turrets is now pointing at you randomly and you can use the laser or Be OP at Bhop (idk) and get behind them and kill them, or use cubes as protection.

I'm going to try to make something with hammer editor, but I got stuck. So I'm making some kind of story based thing, with hammer. But for some reason whenI test it everything I have done isn't there.. Completely blank from what I didn't do with hammer. So if anyone know what to do, I would like some help... What I do: When I'm done with making my map, (with hammer) I'm running the map and trying it in PORTAL 2. Then everything I built before, (in the map editor) is there, but not the hammer editor items.

You probably got an error because you had leaks in your map. Just load the pointfile and fix them. Or, if you got a publishing error, it's because your map doesn't have the necessary PTI workshop entities. (Add them in)

Nice map, well made and lit. The turrets were just an annoyance, you just walk up to them and kill them. I saw no "swivelling" panels. The whole map was fun, even without them. Thanks for your work.

Generally, I will neutralize turrets as a matter of course during a test, even if it means going a little out of my way ;-)

Even if you use the lazer or killing them from the backside doesn't matter.. But you got to kill them unless you are a beast at Bhop.. And even if I do switch the sides of them, will you not get to the first fizzler without problems.

The turrets were going to face the other way, but caused many problems. But if your not super-pro, are you not able to complete the whole chamber without killing them.

Clever map! I also did not use the faith plate or the button that swivels the panels. My solultion let 2 cubes drop through the tractor beam to the exit room. The laser being redirected from the laser emitter room.

I Just tested my ideas.
The room is doable:
- without using one cube (except for the exit, but just remove the cube button connected to the exit and it'll be fine),
- without using the faith plate,
- without using the portalable surface next to the way in.

In addition to that, it would be a good idea to put the lazer receptor elsewhere. Right now, it's a bit tricky to reach it because the stairs are in front of it.

I liked it! I think it has great potential.
Some recommandation:
- As long as the wall in front of the reflector cube dropper is fully portalable, the faith plate is not useful (you can use the funnel to reach it).
- I didn't have to use the flip pannels. There already is a white surface in this area. I'm gonna try to not use it next time, and if it's possible, then make it unportalable.
- The reflector cube could be used instead of one of the standard cubes. What if you removed one of them, and the cube button linked to the exit?
