And like Doomblud said, that part was very counter intuitive. I don't think I've ever seen that before.
I don't think this gimmick is ever used in the actual game, it feels very counter intuitive.
I first thought I could put a redirection cube, or lens cube as I call it, by the exit door and then redirect the beam after walking there for the second time. But the exit floor plate was slightly above the other level so it didn't work. I ended up solving it the way it was intended I think.
For those annoyed by not being able to hit the receiver on the ground:
u can portal ur way up to the plate above the receiver, then shoot a portal back toward the other place. Walk to the other place and shoot the other portal at the horizontal plate. U can now see the receiver through the portal and can aim at it. this prevents the frustration of going back and forth cause ur missing the angle slightly.
