I wanna use lydia but she makes the enemies run away, which i find very annoying. Itd be cool if you made a mod similar to this where theres a book or spell that opens up a menu that allows you to pick what shout your follower has. In the mean time ill stick with the badass, Iona :)

Am I correct to assume this doesn't include the Hearthfire houscarls? (Valdimar of Morthal, Rayya of Falkreath, and Gregor of Dawnstar)
ibsquid89 6 Oct, 2017 @ 8:57pm
what about the housecarl Rayya
Saint Void  [author] 14 Sep, 2017 @ 11:58am
@Jwarrier - Yup. Just have a Fallout 4 mod currently. YouTube too if I ever get around to posting videos again.
Jwarrier 14 Sep, 2017 @ 8:29am
Do you use the same username on nexus?
Saint Void  [author] 13 Sep, 2017 @ 1:45pm
@Jwarrier - At this time I haven't done any modding for Special Edition. I'm waiting for SKSE SE/64 (Script Extender) to come out (just today I heard it hit Alpha stage) before I go back to Skyrim. However, when that happens I'll post my updated mods on the Nexus.
Jwarrier 13 Sep, 2017 @ 10:17am
Have you ported this over for Special Edition at all?
Saint Void  [author] 27 Jul, 2017 @ 6:23am
@idygujar - Sorry chap, didn't see your (now 6 mo old) question. Housecarls and a select few other NPCS (J-named kitty-cat wizard I can't be bothered to look up how to spell the name of, which is considered a bug actually that he is the only other one) top out at Level 50. Most cap between 20-30. Honestly they are kinda overpowered as all hell by that level. So thats why I gave them shouts; so they can solo a dragons (if you give them hp drain weapons) and I just sit back and watch.
Saint Void  [author] 27 Jul, 2017 @ 6:23am
@Downs Syndrome Skyrim Player - Haha. Not a whole decade! And exactly how old is Lydia? Did you cut her in half and count the rings? Oh, wait I know you, you're the defacto expert on MAKE-BELIEVE CHARCTERS. You went to school for that right? Moron. It's just a game, get a f@cking life. No one is forcing you to use my mod. Just because it's 5 stars doesn't mean that it was made specifically with YOU in mind, that it fits into YOUR imagined version of Skyrim. Here's a novel idea; if you don't like it, don't use it. or suck a d*ck. Whatever makes you happy.

Also, it's still lore friendly. So much lore friendliness that I'm going to make a Special Edition version of the mod and give all the Housecarls ALL THE SHOUTS! MWAHAHAHA. Suck it!
Leviath 26 Jul, 2017 @ 10:06am
if that's the case then how come the stormcloaks aren't using it
pretty sure ulfric started as a boy and it took him over a decade to learn how to shout worth a shit
so maybe giving these young housecarls of major and especially minor holds the convenient ability to learn one specialized shout isn't alright?

so much for ur micdrop
Saint Void  [author] 16 Apr, 2017 @ 2:32pm
@PancakeWizard - Learn your lore son, many Nords climb the steps to learn how to shout. Ulfric killing the king by shouting is stated in the first 5 minutes of the game. The Dragonborn is special because he/she can absorb dragonsouls and basically never has to practic at it. He's a natural, but it can absolutely be taught... you know, like all the other greybeards. #micdrop
PancakeWizard 10 Mar, 2017 @ 1:23pm
'Completely lore friendly', but you gave them shouts?
IDY2017 3 Jan, 2016 @ 9:38am
Does anybody no what level these housecarls go to?
il_panettone 12 Sep, 2015 @ 3:27pm
please make a version with hearthfire it will get more downloads
Skully 30 Aug, 2015 @ 9:54am
Can you add the hearthfire housecarls?
Sir Hammershots 1 Jul, 2015 @ 8:49pm
theyre all doing it for me as well and this jst happend 5 nights ago i tried unsubin th mod and nothing happend they didnt gt th robes or th shouts
NaughtiusMaximus 26 Nov, 2014 @ 12:00am
Does anyone know how to undo a bug that sounds like i just casted a healing spell on myself or just got hit with an ice spell that never goes away? If anyone has any idea that would be awesome because in all honestly it just ruins the audio experience of the game. (not a bug related to this mod i'm pretty sure)
Sir Hodor 9 Oct, 2014 @ 9:53am
Are the houscarls supposed to look like in the pictures? Because Jordis still wears her lame steel armor with me ...
ThatOneGuyWhoShootsStuff69x 1 Oct, 2014 @ 5:47am
Are going to do the hearth fire housecarls?
Lefty 8 Sep, 2014 @ 7:16am
Nice work. This mod fixes a lot of things with housecarls, but then again it does overpower them IMO.
Darksaxo 7 Aug, 2014 @ 6:05am
muy bueno y funciona perfectamente, se agradece llegar a casa y que tus edecanes no vistan la tipica armor.
very good and works perfectly, nice work mate, they get home and thank your aides do not wear the typical armor.
Sir Hammershots 12 Jun, 2014 @ 5:55pm
uh fr some rezon when i go to my houses i see my house carls are in nothing bt their underwear
InAComaDial999 30 Mar, 2014 @ 4:04am
There is one kind of annoying bug with this mod: the modified shouts that this mod gives to the Housecarls also get added to the player when you unlock the vanilla version of the shout at a Word Wall. E,g, I went to Dead Crone Rock and unlocked Dismay, and I ended up with two versions of the Dismay shouts in my Shout list. Doing a player.removeshout xx006EA5 got rid of it, so I know it came from this mod. Not exactly game breaking but probably something that should be fixed, if you are still updating this at all.
InAComaDial999 12 Mar, 2014 @ 9:13pm
This is really nice. I found this while looking for a mod that turned Iona into something other than a less-attractive version of Lydia. What you did with Iona and Lydia (I have not yet encountered the other housecarls since installing this mod) is just perfect. I like that they wear high end civilian clothes while "off duty" and the changes to their combat behavior, class, etc, really fit them a lot better. Great stuff, upvoted.
Sir Hammershots 8 Mar, 2014 @ 6:48pm
hm fr some reson im still having a prob with ur mod i mean they r not using shouts and they r in their origional armor frm before i gt this mod
Sir Hammershots 4 Mar, 2014 @ 7:54pm
uh yh fr some reason lydia is still in her steel armor and not inth fancy clothes and its kinda disturbing tht its not wrking
Benny 13 Jan, 2014 @ 9:34am
Is there any way to give jordis a young voice? I can't stand having the uthgerd voice.
Cyradis314 11 Jan, 2014 @ 1:08am
Are you able to tell your housecarl/follower what armor to wear? Lydia unmodded really doesn't want the lovely new armor I've given her and it bothers me!
BigOobleck 8 Jan, 2014 @ 11:22pm
does this work with the multiple followers lite? anyone tried it?
Girly Teengirl from Farawayville 5 Jan, 2014 @ 9:01am
all of my housecalls are sitting around in theirs underwear inside the house!
Victoryguard 9 Nov, 2013 @ 4:59am
Conflicts with Vampire Lydia II sadly I will have to pass on using it with my present game.
Victoryguard 4 Nov, 2013 @ 8:35am
Lydia's lack of water travel or any follower along with a player is an enchanted item of water walking or water breathing the difference comes into play when trying to find an entrance submerged as in shipwrecks. The housecarl for Falkreath hold might do well with animal allegience as the hold has tons of critters and a strong daedric presence in quests.
Victoryguard 23 Oct, 2013 @ 9:46am
@ Don't Tread, I find Lydia and Farkas to be dags when playing without this mod. Farkas is by personality AI while Lydia and water travel sans boat can be a very bad combination of waiting to see if she's still alive.
Cheddar Bob 22 Oct, 2013 @ 12:39pm
this actually makes me want to marry lydia (ingame) I never understood why everyone liked her to be honest i think she looked like a zombie
Victoryguard 18 Oct, 2013 @ 9:55pm
I don't see a clear reason for it to conflict as I had a high level mod for dawnguard followers at a prior testing point. Shouting Lydia does take some getting used to but, it's kind of fun to get that nudge in the player's back than to wonder if your housecarl is going to be an inhertance letter.
casual 17 Sep, 2013 @ 1:31pm
is mod compatible with high level followers?
Sol_eirclipse 24 Aug, 2013 @ 9:44pm
Well this works well, for me, as I don't tend to actually get house carls, till later game, when I go to each hold to become a thane just for fun :)
Soulblighter 30 Jul, 2013 @ 6:38pm
error 16 fails to download
Erawolf 1 Jul, 2013 @ 2:21am
The mod forces them to wear that weak armor. It's really annoying
paulwoodland 5 Jun, 2013 @ 12:05pm
cool mod good work
DarkHelmet88 30 Apr, 2013 @ 2:16am
i like this mod alot the greybeards do it and the dragonborn and Ulfric does shout also so why not housecarls also its not like every npc in the game can shout but it does feel nice to have someone on your side that can help you out with a shout
The Dark Ranger 19 Apr, 2013 @ 10:10am
You could just add another version for people who think like me. I would LOVE it if it was like that.
Saint Void  [author] 19 Apr, 2013 @ 9:59am
@The Ranger Pharaoh - Have fun with lame houecarls then, cause thats not going to change. I make my mods for myself, no one else. Fus Ro -duh!
The Dark Ranger 16 Apr, 2013 @ 6:59pm
id only download this if there were no shouts i think others would agree
ekRapid 8 Mar, 2013 @ 4:59am
(spoiler!!!) sure everyone can learn how to shout. but it takes a lot of time and effort. your regular housecarl is ussually overpowered as he his since he can get to level 50 which is quite a for a regualr oaf bodyguard which you get for free. even ulfric high genreal and rikke are weaker than these fellas. there is a reason why the only people who can shout in vannila are ulfric the greybears and all those dead zombies. like i said i like the idea of giving them a diversity. its a good way of thinking. if you could split it two a shout included and a shout free. i think you would be much better off. good work.
Turel 7 Mar, 2013 @ 6:36pm
@Saint Void - Btw, the mod that caused the problem is "improved Followers" , it works fine, you just can't replace all the equip of the HC, if you do that, it will trigger the "naked bug" (lol). I'm certain that i won't have any problems with the other 3 HC that i don't have yet (i only got Lydia and Jordis), i just need to leave basic outfit where it is. And Saint, the shouting of the HC can cause some inconveniences, if a shout hits an ally (like soldiers), those ally take the HC as enemys. Very bad in dragon encounters in a city...
Another thing. I love this mod, the HC became unique with it and i can't see them as they were before.
Saint Void  [author] 7 Mar, 2013 @ 11:37am
@Cyber D - well I'm glad you still have a working save. The reason I started making mods in the first place is cause people can really eff-up the game and not even know what effect their mod has on everything else. I do my best to make my mods as clean and safe as possible, which is actually why this mod is on hold, cause I'm not satisfied I can do the things I want without causing bugs with some people and some other mods. It helps that I'm a purest and dislike radical changes to the game, but if I like a mod but don't trust the author I end up just remaking it myself. If you want something done right, do it yourself is my motto.
Saint Void  [author] 7 Mar, 2013 @ 11:28am
@Wrath if mojo- you obviously don't know your lore very well. Anyone can learn to shout, not just the dragonborn. The DB is just the only one who learns it by obsorbing dragon souls. All the graybeards, Olfric.... It just takes training, hence why they only know one shout. It's part of House Carl College. #Educated.

If you don't like that they shout -personally- uh... tough titties? Luckily for you, you don't have to use my mod.
Turel 6 Mar, 2013 @ 6:04pm
@Saint Void - I tried to fix that problem with the CK, but it only brougth me trouble, even my latest save ended up corrupted, luckly, there was another save i could use. It was my fault that the HC lost their default outfit, i installed a mod that gave me access to all of the followers inventory, i changed all of their equip and then the problem started, at first i thought that the problem was in your mod, but i know now that it wasn't.
ekRapid 6 Mar, 2013 @ 8:23am
I like the idea. i dont think they should shout do. not lore friendly. :-)
