While playing this I noticed that they energy ball seems to show as a missing texture graphic.

In Portal 1 you can get yourself trapped in a few locations. But if you do, there will be a special dialogue and you will be set free.

Maybe YOU should play chamber 11 of the original Portal and just try to get trapped. You should find it impossible. Then study the map to find out how they avoided letting you get trapped. Also check out chambers 5, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 18 (not that you had any issues getting trapped on chamber 18), where you actually can get trapped. Study those maps too and think about how not to let the player get helplessly trapped.

Not letting the player get helplessly trapped is good map design 101. It's not exclusive to Portal or Portal 2 and has nothing to do with the dialogue.

I trapped myself! In the original Portal, Valve did everything (and I mean everything) possible to make their chambers 100% idiot-proof. In Chamber 11, they hid the first button right as the catcher is activated to keep the player from getting trapped.

Nice remake. Only thing that is different from the original map is the fact, that after you get the portal gun addition, the pedestal button is not timed. In the original portal1 its the puzzle that you have a timed door. True, its not required, but it does give that touch.

I'm sorry to say, not your best maps, I liked Identity a lot more.

The lights on the walls and on the floor look misplaced and the cube-only-buttons don't fit in there either.

Also I expected some redesign of the maps in terms of gameplay and difficulty you know, "your own spin". But so far they play exactly like the original, except for the end of part 3, where you used to be able to skip getting the second cube by just standing on the button yourself. I miss that.

Also, you have to waaaaaait. Wait for the energy spheres (why not lasers?) wait for the platforms, wait for GLaDOS to finish her sentences...

Sorry for being so negative, but you can do much better.

This is a very good remake. However, I do have one critique. When in the test chamber where you get the secondary portal, you can easily get stuck in the room with the energy ball because the timing is off. Either the portals don't get created fast enough, or the energy ball isn't fast enough. Very cool though. <3
