simply extract with 7zip, move the textures folder to your ...Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\DATA and overwrite if prompted!
[remove]
if you want to remove the textures, simply go to "...data/textures/dungeons/imperial/" and delete battlemap01, battlemap01_n and battlemap02.dds

Because the edges of the map get grabbed hold of or rest on the tables/floors so they get dirty and thus over time get darker.
It's not the map bound to "m" but the rather the batllefield maps which you can see in some areas of the game.
@shodowscale: I downloaded a new texturemod for the noble furniture and this is why the wood looks different on this pictures.
@Vatill: do you mean the map which you use to teleport?
