many thanks, I totally agree on response to covid... we can hope for improvement but something says it may be just something we have to adapt to - especially employers

or Now. :) let me know if its working or not. I vaguely recall thinking "its not as pretty but it'll due."
Saint Void  [author] 21 Oct, 2020 @ 5:43pm
Yes to RL (my Sh**^y job is working me 65 hours a week). Thanks Covid!

I thought the mod was live. >_< Apparently not.

Been sitting there a full year unpublished... The shame is too great...

Check back Monday (Oct 26th). Need to track down what I did with the file... or more likely just remake it.

Hi - went over to your Nexus Page - couldn't find any mods - what did I do wrong please ??
[Or has RL snatched you away] Be well. Many thanks

Hello, I come to you because I really enjoyed your mod years ago. Actually I came back to Skyrim Special Edition & I was tinking it would be very cool to be able to enjoy your mod again. Do you intend to post it on nexus or Bethesda's web site for SSE ? I hope you'll this and happy new year to you !
Silkwind 7 Oct, 2019 @ 11:10pm
Thanks for getting back to me, I have already tracked you on Nexus. LOL I know that does not sound good, but I wanted to know when you added mods to nexus.
Saint Void  [author] 6 Oct, 2019 @ 3:06pm
@Silkwind - Thank you, I'm glad you've enjoyed it. I haven't touched Skyrim or modding for a while, but as I understand its an easy enough conversion to SSE. I have been meaning to port them over. My nexus profile page is https://www.nexusmods.com/users/4361160 . Check it in a week or so.
Silkwind 1 Oct, 2019 @ 3:29pm
Hi, I have been using your Wonderful mod for years. I was wondering if you posted it on Nexus or Bethesda's web site. I would love to have this for SSE.

rarazard 15 Feb, 2016 @ 8:04pm
perfect i love it 10/10
Artorias 6 Dec, 2013 @ 12:23pm
Thanks a lot. It always bugged me that Advanced armors were stuck on the light armor path.
Saint Void  [author] 5 Oct, 2013 @ 1:35pm
@Mortalitass - Try having it Last on the mod list. Mods supersede each other, thus the last one to load generally wins.
HavocSquadDropout 26 Sep, 2013 @ 11:17pm
I love the idea of this mod, however, i subscribed and the new tree isn't showing up (just the old tree). I tried moving it up on the load order, no luck. Any advise? btw, I have no DLC.

this makes so much more sense!
Cavalier 11 Mar, 2013 @ 12:45am
Yay! Now I don't have to waste any perks on elven smithing for steel plate!
[G.D.T] Oceanman.Mp4 2 Feb, 2013 @ 8:58am
thank u saint void exactly what i was searching for
Sajuto 16 Jan, 2013 @ 3:36pm
@Saint Void Alright, I see what you're saying, just wanted a clarification on the reasoning :)
Saint Void  [author] 16 Jan, 2013 @ 3:08pm
@Sajuto - Because if you look at my Armory mod, it does. I added a light armors options to the ebony tree, it also is more balanced needed the same amount of perks (5) to get to Dragon going via heavy or light, and this was also made before Dawnguard, thus having access to ebony weapons and dragon armor was desirable. There is a small bug if you use this with Dawnguard which i haven't bother fixing because I am re-releasing this once Dragonborn hits because DB makes futher changes to the perk tree systems and I want to see what those are first before I waste my time.
Sajuto 15 Jan, 2013 @ 10:37pm
Question, why do you have Glass connecting to Ebony? It doesn't make sense to skill up a heavy armor perk just to get to Dragonscale Armor if you're a light-armor user.

Thank you for being awesome Saint Void. Thumbs up + Subscription + fan for life
Saint Void  [author] 12 Sep, 2012 @ 11:51pm
@Aldas - I have recently found out that what your experiencing is a 'bug'. People are not sure if Bethesda has intended this or not. I have seen a 'fix' mod on the Nexus, when I am finished converting all my mods to Dawnguard, I will be applying that fix to the DG version of this mod.
Saint Void  [author] 28 Aug, 2012 @ 1:39pm
@Aldas - it really shouldn't, the recipe and temper functions are completely separate; but then again Dawnguard seems to have messed up alot of seemingly unrelated things. I'm just able to start work in fixing all my mods, I'll put this on the list and see what I can do
Minnesotan Tiger 18 Aug, 2012 @ 7:51am
I've been having a slight bug with dragonbone weapons; for some reason I can't improve them any higher than ebony weapons, no matter how many enchantments I wear at 100 smithing. I suspect it's being caused by the mod, since it reduces dragon smithing's requirement. Think there's anything you could do to fix it?
Minnesotan Tiger 7 Aug, 2012 @ 8:05pm
Not exactly what I had in mind, but this looks fantastic; very close to one I've have in mind but no idea how to make. Definitely subscribed.
Kazms 9 Jul, 2012 @ 4:32pm
Void, I've got one suggestion to make for this. When you first move into the Smithing Skill tree, it's set that your starting point is Arcane Smithing, rather than Steel Smithing. Maybe just switching their locations on the Perk Web, while retaining their connections and requirements? It's really just a minor "this makes sense" kinda change, y'know?

Otherwise, I love it.
RexJayden 24 Jun, 2012 @ 3:21pm
No biggie. I havent been able to reproduce the error. Mod is working great. Might have been a simple error with load order. Keep up your great work. Im also enjoying your housecarl mod too now!
Saint Void  [author] 24 Jun, 2012 @ 10:53am
@RexJayden - From everything that you've been telling me about over the different mods, it definitely sounds like your save file is corrupted. A lot of strange and random bugs will start showing up and it will only get worse and worse I'm afraid. I don't know how many hours you have put into it already, but if you plan on playing this save for a while, I'd consider restarting fresh, I know it sucks but its something to consider. It could get to the point where your save becomes unplayable.
LaMonaz 23 Jun, 2012 @ 8:05pm
awesome saint ~!! thank you and the smithing tree bugged to me. i gonna waiting for another mod cloaks i wish that just like winter is coming cloak, bear, wolf ..
RexJayden 22 Jun, 2012 @ 12:54pm
I have no idea why, but I am allowed to smith and upgrade the iron weapons again. Strange.
RexJayden 22 Jun, 2012 @ 11:10am
Saint Void, thanks for the response. I wrote the wrong thing earlier, its that I am unable to upgrade iron weapons. I am able to smith them though. Perhaps I am just out of it, but werent we able to upgrade Iron weapons before? I only have two mods that affect smithing and they are this mod and your other smithing mod (outstanding mod BTW). I didnt have any issue with smithing (iron related) till I added this mod. The message I get is concerned with me not having achieved the correct smithing perk to upgrade the iron weapons. I discovered this on a new game where I talk to the smith gentleman in riverwood and take up his offer to help him at his forge. I am unable to upgrade the iron dagger on the grinding stone.
Saint Void  [author] 22 Jun, 2012 @ 6:47am
@RexJayden - Well I can't check it this very moment because I'm at work, however if I had to wager, I would bet my that your problem isn't commnig from this mod (or this mod alone as it might be a weird conflict). I say that with confidence because I didn't change any of the perks do, just their position on the tree. That coupled with the fact that you don't need a perk to create Iron Weapons, and lastly because "Recipes" are the files that allow you to craft something, and those are not connected to perks in that way, and this mod does not touch any recipes. I'd play around with your load order and turning off a few things to try and find your problem mod. I will however double check sometime this weekend.
Saint Void  [author] 22 Jun, 2012 @ 6:41am
@StevenRocks07 - Yeah, thats exactly it. This mod is just a switch of the perk tree, my Armory mod adds the ability to craft all the new weapons and armor. I wanted to keep them separate to keep the files cleaner, easier to work on and more user friendly with other mods. If you get this mod and my armory you won’t need Smithing Perks Overhaul.
RexJayden 21 Jun, 2012 @ 8:30pm
Im assuming its under the steel smithing perk, but thats what I have right now and anything Iron is blacked out for me. Oh and yes, I do have the required ores, leather, etc to craft the iron dagger I have been asked to forge.
RexJayden 21 Jun, 2012 @ 8:28pm
This is a very nice mod BUT...I am unable to smith Iron weapons and armor because apparently its not included in the new perk tree setup.
stevenrocks07 21 Jun, 2012 @ 7:36pm
Does your mod basically do the stuff Smithing Perks Overhaul does and if you dont know what it is its a mod that add the stuff like falmer and elven gilded - weapons and armor into the already exsisting smithing perks. Or would something like that work together im guessing probably since your armory mod adds those kinds of weapons and armor but i just want to make sure. I really like your work and i have a feeling that if your mod does the samething it will be better than the one i have plus the stuff in your discription already sounds better.
SableTwoSeven 20 Jun, 2012 @ 4:40pm
your mods are great. i couldnt imagine playing Skyrim without them anymore. keep up the good work
Jimmey the snake 20 Jun, 2012 @ 8:23am
i love voidcraft
Puddin' 19 Jun, 2012 @ 2:42pm
Well done! Could you PLEASE do this to more than just the Smithin tree? Bethesda has made pretty much every damn skill tree confusing and difficult to scroll and go through!
It would be so great if you could create a "complete" mod out fo this. Improving all of the skills!
I am sure you could do it.
simon.kolmodin 19 Jun, 2012 @ 12:28am
yeenius =D

THIS! is how it should have been from the start! good job!
Lorkhan 12 Jun, 2012 @ 1:32pm
ok, thx. like the idea and design too =)
Ahlmann 12 Jun, 2012 @ 1:07pm
That would be the perk that allows you to improve enchanted items. =)
Lorkhan 12 Jun, 2012 @ 12:41pm
what's arcane? it's one of the perks on the first pic.
