nice one.. cycle

A fun map to solve.

Ya gotta figure out why surfaces are where they are. Some are for an escape route if you get trapped, but some serve an important part of the solution.

sorry, no way...:steamsad:

Here's help: Get the cube to continuously go through the faith plate route while you're across the goo where the stairs are.
Grauerrat 28 Aug, 2022 @ 5:52am
no idea, need help
Stan The Man 22 Aug, 2022 @ 4:19am
Great fun, really nice!
prrg 15 Jun, 2022 @ 9:49am
Brilliant map. The solution is mesmerizing. Only issue was I executed it perfectly and then the cube knocked back straight into the first area's faith plate and got fizzled. Had to do it all over again lol

beautiful map

Love your maps. Is there a way to download them all and add to the workshop lib?
Spider_Dawg 21 Oct, 2020 @ 7:09am
Fun and clever.

got the main idea, but still waste a while in a trickier way(it may work out but i just can't accomplish with my clumsy hands)
zul33 12 Sep, 2020 @ 12:04pm
Really nice concept :)

I found another alternative solution: You get to the side with the light bridge, position another portal where you fall into through the jump pads and let the cube fall through the floor there. Normally the cube would slide off the 45 degree surface, but thanks to the light bridge you can let it slide into the portal just before connecting it to the start of the jump chain.

Still good fun and still had to think for a while until I remembered or rethought of it.
Barge 28 Mar, 2020 @ 10:48am
Another deceptively simply and well designed map. Nice job! I found a cool alternate solution as well https://youtu.be/kVzz30zlKlo
Sophronius 15 Feb, 2020 @ 9:27am
how do you think this stuff up, taking a simple map and making it such a good challenge, great work as always!
cantor0305 18 Dec, 2019 @ 6:37am
i really like the titles of your map, generaly a big hint.
SCHMUTZyyy 24 Sep, 2019 @ 1:00pm
i was too high for that
Calwin 11 Sep, 2019 @ 6:55am
I finally did it. I figured out very quickly what I had to do, but got stuck on how to get the box the right place while me being at the right place. I loaded up the map again today and it all clicked within a few minutes. Another brilliant map.
Ali 16 Apr, 2019 @ 11:55am
the solution is in the name :)
Leo 30 Dec, 2018 @ 8:31am
Very fun map.
MmmmmmhHHHhhhhhhmmmm 11 Jul, 2018 @ 12:49pm
I had to watch the walkthrough. I'm playing through all your chambers, starting from the first one, so I conditioned myself not to come to any solutions that requires timing.

Anyways, great chamber.

Fun map, good job :steamhappy:
bullfrog 27 Oct, 2017 @ 12:14am
Brilliant puzzle. Within a reasonable time; I had everything set up for the start of THE MOVE, but couldn’t work out how to get myself to the required position during THE MOVE for ages. I almost gave up and looked at the walkthrough, but then... wait a minute... that might work... but I’m rubbish at quick portal shooting, will I have time? Yep, no problem, even for me. Really enjoyed that, big thumbs up and yet another one of your maps added to my favourites.
Artmugal 19 Jun, 2017 @ 4:06am
it's not very mental, pointlessly large area makes it even more tedious.
ScubaDude 29 Apr, 2017 @ 7:16pm
Excellent test chamber. Thumbs up. Here's my "Let's Play" video:

really nice map!
MaximuX 18 Oct, 2016 @ 3:02pm
I understood the perpetual cube motion trick I just didn't know how to execute it and get myself to the spot in time. Thank god I can't view the attached walkthroughs otherwise I would be doing it after 5 minutes of being stumped on every map.
Mevious  [author] 2 Oct, 2016 @ 4:39pm
Dohvasant, that's close but not quite what I intended. There is an attached walkthrough that shows the intended solution. Thanks for the feedback.
Lurker Man 1 Oct, 2016 @ 10:38am
Got it after about 30 minutes. It seems obvious that you need to get the cube in an infinite loop portal, but how to do that is tricky. I'm not even sure if I did it the right way. I used a portal from the light bridge to the angled surface at the bottom, and I placed the cube on the light bridge, and as it slides down I shot a portal to the other angled surface. It seems to be way to based on reacion skills rather than conceptual skill. Or maybe I did it wrong, either way still a great map.
Pligraf 3 Sep, 2016 @ 1:00am
Mevious, ты реально крутой!!! я не могу сообразить: 1- как пройти эту комнату, 2- как ты вообще делаешь такое!
davidbrunton 23 Aug, 2016 @ 4:56pm
Brilliant. Mevious is cleverer than me.
dvdbillen 26 May, 2016 @ 8:09am
I quit my job and spent four days solving it. I need a shave.
Petutski 19 Apr, 2016 @ 12:59pm
Did this one a couple years ago, and it took me a while to remember the trick. Still a great map! Thanks!
lfairban 16 Apr, 2016 @ 3:16pm
Flippin' insane! Excellent map.
Pamsy 19 Mar, 2016 @ 12:03am
Clever, fun map. Not too hard. Hint: perpetual [cube] motion.

Another fun tastey treat

I have played many a map......but yours are by far are the best!

Another masterpiece ! May be the toughest of your map.
I lick 9 volt batteries 17 Nov, 2014 @ 6:56pm
Replay-ability is definitely good. It's a strong attribute for all of your puzzles, and maybe that's because I keep forgetting how to do them lol. In this case, I had to take a minute to remember how to get the cube going in the loop, but after that, it was easy. Even though I've already done it a few times, it's still fun to solve.
nn 4 Oct, 2014 @ 9:13pm
great puzzle like always!
Sat_k7 15 Aug, 2014 @ 11:50pm
great great great puzzle. Awesome. My Portal 2 skills have greatly increased by solving Mevious' chambers . . . . he he. Took so much of time to solve this chamber. . . !!!
L.H.O.O.Q. 8 Aug, 2014 @ 3:08pm
Figured out the puzzle, flung the cube , it bounced onto the faith plate that tosses you into the main part of the puzzle. Had to do the whole thing again.
doctorhitts 31 Jul, 2014 @ 4:20pm
Great puzzle loved the atmosphere and just the right amount of tricky!
Earthboy 11 Jul, 2014 @ 5:41pm
Once again you are the master of the simple to execute but joyfully difficult to solve. I can't believe I missed this jewel for nearly 2 years!
-piriquitoz- 25 Jun, 2014 @ 8:52pm
Oh boy, can't believe I did this one in about 15 minutes XD At first I was like "Damn, what do I need to do this time, Mevious??" but thankfully everything was clear all of a sudden. I loved how you are able to put the cube in a perpetual jumping cycle and then easily send it to the exit area . This has got to be one of my favorites now :D Your chambers never fail to amaze me, dude. Here, take these -> :ss13ok::ss13ok::ss13ok:
hd42 16 Jun, 2014 @ 6:25am
For me, the hardest one I've done yet. Took over an hour to figure it out...nice job.
Thy Danaielli 14 Jun, 2014 @ 7:28pm
Sorry for my bad english Google Translate. It's amazing ability to put Mevious a solution so hidden but when you discover it is finding the dumbest guy in this world! At least this chamber would not let me so traumatized as Islands (Do not play this! Their brains will be transformed into zombie food!:p2orange:) and No Elements 8 pt; I even feel scared of how things should Rexaura !
